The location is perfect. Nice for walks to the jungle and enjoy the natural world.
The mountain location provided a great respite from the heat of the lower elevations. It almost felt normal to us.
Who would've thought we would be having a fire, and whilst not entirely necessary, it was really comforting to enjoy the heat and ambience.
Room was quiet, clean and comfortable.
Restaurant serves great food throughout the day.

This hotel is a piece of heaven in the middle of a village near Cobán. The rooms are spacious, decorated exquisitely with local textiles and beds are dressed with premium linen.
The property is massive! I loved the open plan gym, the pool and visiting the deers. The restaurant is delicious and staff are always willing to help.
Be curious about local context and Guatemalan history. That will give you a clue about why there is a German flag at the front of the property.

COBAN is a very beautiful town and there is an Ancient Cathedral in front of the Central Park. There's a local market where you can find handwoven typical clothing and other handcrafted products made by the natives. There are good restaurants also, like HDR (Hacienda Don Rafa), El PE-NASCAL, where you can order dishes of Mayan origins, like KACK-IK for example. There are places of extreme beauty near Coban with plenty of very low price transportation. You can visit the Central Market located only 6 minutes on the outskirts of Coban. SO, TREAT YOURSELF BY VISITING COBAN!!!

This is a great jumping off point for all of the department's offerings. We opted to stay close in town since it was a bit rainy and driving in Guatemala can be long and weary. We visited Las Victorias National Park and the Orchid conservation gardens. We loved both even in the rain. Easy to get around by foot or by car. People here are very friendly and hospitable, plenty of dining options in every price range, even found a treasure of a coffee shop La Estacion. We loved our stay and can't wait to return!
My favourite place in Coban, I stayed here two times. They have drinking water available and a really good kitchen, my room was spacious and comfortable, plus there's hot water in the shower. The hotel is amazingly clean and the view from the rooftop is lovely. The centre is very close, also lots of restaurants and shops. Wifi works perfectly. The people working here are really lovely and helpful. Can 100% recommend.
On first impression it looks like a parking lot but on the first floor the rooms are centered around a beautiful patio with a very cosy common area. Rooms are very modern and beds are very comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay (prepared breakfast boxes when going on a trip, teaching my husband some Spanish, etc.).

The hostel is nice and clean, with sitting areas indoors and in a small covered garden. There is a large shared kitchen with a gas hob and breakfast is included. It is in a fairly quiet street within walking distance of the market and about 20 mins to the national park.
We ended up in Coban because of the road blockages. The city itself doesn’t really have anything for tourists. The staff on the hostel were very nice and helpful, the situation was of course not ideal, but they called around, talked to us, and was overall really nice.
Excellent service. Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful and quiet for resting. Limited choices for food but very delicious. Tasty Guatemalan breakfasts. Hot water. Clean sheets and towels
Is very convenient hotel to stay and for moving around, staff very very friendly, helpful, kind, the breakfast is amazing and tasty room was cosy and bathroom very big
First of all Coban is a dismal place and we regret booking 3 nights. The courtyard is nice and the staff seem to be nice. It’s clean. Breakfast decent.
