Breakfast was a good spread. Got a dorm, as I wasn't able to find private room while making a last minute booking. Considering it was a dorm, it was decently comfortable, people were quiet and respectful of sleeping time, there were curtains to block out the light. Ok value for money.

We had a nice, large room, everything was very clean. It's a close walk to the pier and restaurants and far enough away to be quiet. The shower is probably our least favourite part. It could use an update as the tiles are little grubby. The water doesn't get extremely hot, but enough. The room has a small fan which we needed and it helped a lot to sleep. Breakfast is excellent, your choice from their restaurant menu of eggs, omlette, pancakes, yogurt and granola. And they have a friendly pet turtle. The staff are very nice.

The location was amazing, right in the centre op San Pedro. It was a bit noisy at night, but the reception gives everybody earplugs so it is nothing to worry about. There was a very nice terrace with hammocks, and hammocks in front of the room, all very nice for relaxing :) the view of the lake was great!

The gardens around the property were very nice, and the staff extremely friendly. The private room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
We had to move rooms after one night due to an overbooking which didn’t bother us as the quality of the rooms didn’t change however they still redeemed us €10 for the inconvenience which was nice. The property also has a dog and a new kitten which we loved. There was free breakfast and free drinking water. A small walk out of the centre.

Nice location, big and comfy bed in a spacious room. The room was cleaned almost daily and was Very clean. Also they have really good breakfast. The location is ideal, off enough from the busy-ness of clubs, but still in walking distance of almost all restaurants.

We loved staying in this town because of the variety of waterfront restaurants and it felt a little less touristy than the other towns. You can easily walk or tuktuk to San Juan and you can easily access a quick boat ride to San Marcos as well.

This town is really just for young backpackers looking to party. You can pop in for a few hours during the day to check it out, but if you don't fit that demographic stay in a different town on the lake.

This place is a riot of colour and full of authentic Guatemalan life. The women in the town were dressed so beautifully, one could just watch them going about their daily lives. The little town is situated right on the lake and there is more than enough to do to keep one busy for a few days. I would highly recommend this place. As a bonus there is a cluster of very good and healthy middle eastern and other restaurants. I would go back for the falafel any day of the week.

When you go to SP it's not just SP.
When you go to SP it's not just SP. Boat rides to towns like San Juan, San Marcus, Panajachel, etc. are right there! Colorful, full of culture, markets, education and experience. SP is a great place to base yourself in; especially if you are Jewish/kosher. It's near chabad, 2 kosher restaurants and the docks to take you to all the other villages/towns.

It should be a five quetzal to get anywhere in the main area of San Pedro in Tuk Tuk. If you go to the El Mirador have the tuk tuk to wait for you or it can be hard getting one back to town. The 5B ATM machines charge large fees so try to get money before you go here. For cheap food go to either of the Tacomexs. A lot of locals wash their clothes in the lake so if you want to swim go to San Marcos.

San Pedro is full of night life and back packers.
San Pedro is full of night life and back packers. It is very safe and it is easy to access most other parts of Lake Atitlan. Be prepared with cash as many places do not accept credit cards, and if they do they add a large fee. My only major criticism is it is so touristy that they do not have much local Guatemalan food!! The food is not great in the city.

We stayed 8 nights at Una Noche con Mical and it was wonderful! Nef and his family are so kind and ready to help whenever needed, especially when my son was unwell and we had transport issues. It is up the hill a bit which is nice to get away from the really touristy area but really close to the markets and anything that you need and you get to see more of the real life of Guatemalans. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchen is fairly well equipped.
There was a kitchen (not many utensils and bowls but still good option in a hotel). The view from the terrace was stunning! Location is further from the city center but still it was really good and safe, easy to reach from the main street. We were allowed to choose the floor of the room. Comfort was great because our double room had a private bathroom and perfect view for a very low price = perfect combination. Definitely recommend!
No bunk beds at all. The rooms are fairly large and you get a comfortable double bed to yourself. Kitchen is very well equipped. Staff is very helpful and can book all sorts of trips, shuttles, and attractions for you with prices clearly labeled. Easy to use laundry system and quick service. Gorgeous view of Lake Atitlan and the surrounding areas on the top floor, with space where you can bring a laptop and work.
I really enjoyed staying at Una Noche Con Mical! This is a small family-run business that offers quiet, comfortable rooms in an amazing location. Only a short walk to shops, restaurants, and views of Lake Atitlan. I really felt welcome by the family and enjoyed being able to escape the loud party scene that San Pedro is known for. I would stay here again and again and recommend it to everyone!
Quiet overlooking the lake. Away from the hustle and bustle but at walking distance. Conveniently next to private ferry dock, we caught the ferry back to Pana from here. Cost was 30Q per person.
The resort is small, not as large as it looks in the photos. The staff is constantly cleaning the common facilities. The pool and the grounds are photogenic.
Hotel accepts payment only in CASH.
Miguel and his son were both so nice and helpful. This place has the cleanliness ad privacy of a hotel room but the welcoming faces of staying with a family. Also the views on the terrace, from my room, and on the roof were great.
As others mentioned they even offered laundry services, though I didn't end up taking them up on that, but that is a great offer.
I dont get how this hotel not rated the best. Its 3-5 min walk from the center. This is an AMAZING thing as the center is really really loud. Also allows this place to have a much better view. Honestly the reviews and the picture don't do this place justice. I stayed only 1 night and I should have just booked this place through-out.
The location of the hotel was right on the water and the view was nice. Far enough away from the bars in the center of town but still walkable. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
There is a kitchen that isn't really fully equipped but you can make some basic things if you would like to cook.
one of the cleanest hotels I have experienced in Guatemala ... nice staff, great view from the balcony and with a hammock, good wifi connection, comfortable bed, great location in the city center and close to the marina, excellent quality for cheap price, I highly recommend!
Very good location, right before the busy street but still calm. Kind personnel who were very helpful. We got a very nice room with a beautiful view!! Very worth the price.
The hotel has a restaurant which serve nice food and have a beautiful view over the lake.
Amazing place right by the water, they offer cheap kayaks for rent and an amazing view over the lake in a better location for beauty and quiet than the center of town. Absolutely gorgeous walk to the hotel, and it is a steal for what you pay.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Had so much fun here. They staff was a ton of fun - they really know how to throw a party. Really enjoyed the pub crawl. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean for a party place. Rooms were comfy.
generally quiet location that is removed from the party hostels and bars but still walkable to the Main Street. I had extended my stay for one more night and got moved to another room which had better showers (hot water!!).
Perfect hotel to explore San Pedro and Lake Atitlan. The hotel is centrally located but quiet with a very nice view from the veranda. The whole property is very clean. The personal was super friendly and helped us a lot.
Really lovely little hotel. Included breakfast is amazing. I love that it's right by the beach where locals are always hanging out. Really neat way to experience local life.
