The owner was very responsive. Pickup/drop-off at the airport. Facilities are quaint, pretty, and comfortable. Room was just what we needed for our short stay. Close to the airport, yet feels like it's own oasis.

Faaa itself is OK.
Faaa itself is OK. It's the Royal room in the hills tgat was problematic. The room is not really as described. Seems it's run by someone else than the owner, possibly absentee house owner. Many people come and go from the Royal. One group came for a visit and occupied the terrace. They were polite and quiet but smoked, so no joining for us. The house cleaness is questionable and it appears there is more lodgers than the one the who sleep in the loft. Living room dingy with curtains closed and sofa. Underfurnished. The bedding feels cheap and polyester-like. Parking is a total headache on a narrow ledge. Finally someone came to move own car but with another motorcycle in the small place that was hardly useful. Dog poo was there, easy to step in. It's close to airport but there are nicer places to stay than here. Valley location was nice. Otherwise do not recommend this place. As to airport facility, it was easy to park a car at longterm to jump to another island for 2 days.

Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia.
Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia. It is a beautiful city capturing the culture of Tahiti. I visited several markets while there and was impressed by the local pearl, oils for the skin and fruit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Tahiti! Thank you from Canada!

Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent!
Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent! The hosts have mosquito repellent coils lit in the open common area and it helps. A small main gathering area for breakfast, share use of regular size fridge for leftovers, grocery store food, etc. A water machine to refill your own water bottle, coffee maker, hot tea pitcher, microwave, stove, etc all in common area & shared if you’d like to cook own meals. It’s very clean in the area. Also, a washer is available for use for your clothes & hang dry. The hosts are very kind and accommodating.

The hotel is beautiful, but you can walk anywhere, as the menus are very limited, you’ll get bored of it very quickly.
If you want a restaurant outside the hotel, you need to take a taxi, which can get expensive.
Cute little hotel next to airport. Great for families looking for a local place. Very accommodating staff for early check-in and arranging taxi transfer to airport due to our large amount of luggage. This is a local hotel. If you desire to experience the culture of Tahiti, I highly recommend this property. If you are looking for a Hilton experience with valet and a concierge this is not the place for you.
Rooms were modern and super clean, but with a minimalist decor.
If you look for a hotel, then don't go there. If you look for a family, you definitely have to stay here! Eva and her mum are super sweet and are a huge help. I stayed there my first days and Eva helped me to organize a lot of things. I can recommend everyone a stay at the Kohutahia Lodge, when you want to stay in a lovely, heartwarming and fun place. They can speak English, so it made the communication easier for me. I would come here again!
Tahia and Raimiti were amazing hosts! The property was clean and modern and has a nice balcony. They picked us up from the airport and helped us to get a taxi for our early morning departure. We rented a car from them for one day and had a great drive around the whole island. They gave us fresh fruit from a tree on the property when we returned at the end of the day :) The property is close to the airport, which was very convenient.
The husband and wife hosts at this house are wonderful. They were incredibly kind to me when I was stranded in Tahiti due to unseasonal flooding which closed the airport in New Zealand. I was stuck in Papeete for 4 days and they could not have been more welcoming or friendly. Shout out to resident 'Thierry' also for speaking Spanish with me. I should have learned French before getting stuck here!
Wow first the hostess and her entire family were so nice. The room (cottage) was beyond perfect. The food was delicious. They offered to pick us up at the airport at no charge and it was really early in the morning. Her sister gave us an entire tour of Tahiti. We were greeted with Leis flower and a plate of delicious food. The AC worked great and the hot water worked very well
This was a good basic lodging for someone who is passing through Tahiti for a night or two (being walking distance to the airport was a plus) and needs a friendly home to stay with a welcoming host. The room and bed were comfortable (with a fan included), The kitchen facilities are also a plus.
Nina and her family were an absolute joy to be around. Their home is less than 5 minutes from the airport. The next time we head to Tahiti and need an overnight stay, she will definitely be our first call. Strongly recommend their home.

The area around the Tahiti airport doesn't belong to the richest ones, but the people have all they need. If you have high standards, look for another place. If you are looking for a cheap place to sleep for one night close to the airport, this is it.
Reva was an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make our stay easy and comfortable
Her communication was responsive and clear
Totally recommend staying with her on arrival or departure from tahiti
She is 3 mins from airport
You can walk down to the airport in 10 minutes. Food can be deliverd to this accomodation. We walked down to a little supermarket and heated some food in the kitchen. Very practical that we could do this. Nice view over the area.
We stayed for 1 night. Our place is spacious, clean, and it has excellent air conditioning. Quiet. We had 7am flight, and hotel owner drove us to the airport: very much appreciate the hospitality!!!
The location was great, you can walk to the airport from the hotel. I wouldn't want to walk to the hotel from the airport beach there is a steep hill and about three separate flights of stairs.
Very accommodating and helpful, so many details it was way more than I would have expected from a hotel that would have been twice the cost of manaeva. I would 100% stay here again!
Perfect place to stay in Papeete. Quiet, private, beautiful view. The hosts were wonderful, friendly, brought us to and from the airport. Logistics were seamless. Will stay again.
This hotel is within walking distance from the airport so very convenient for an overnight stay. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly.
the proximity to the airport made it a quick and easy commute to and from the hotel. we had a long layover and stayed the night, but it was no big hassle.
