Very new and clean hotel. Super comfy beds and facilities. Had dinner in the restaurant which was nice and the staff were super friendly. About 15 mins from the airport so worked well for a 1 night stay in between flights.

I’m giving this a five star review in the context of this being a three star hotel but is really bordering on being a four star. It’s in amazing location with plenty of car parking space, in fact you can park in front of your apartments and has everything you need for a nice stay in a well priced (relatively as everything in Tahiti is expensive) resort with a restaurant, bar, swimming pool and exclusive access to a beach (which is a one minute walk from here). The staff were helpful and the best thing was that this is only a 30 minute walk to the centre of Papeete and there are various buses on the main road. I would recommend!
Situated in Papeete, 500 metres from Plage Hokule'a and 500 metres from Paofai Gardens, "Hanikea" Quiet & Pool Home offers an open-air bath and air conditioning.

The town of Papeete is very nice and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Had it not been for our unacceptable accommodations, we would have loved our stay in Papeete. If you go, be sure to stay at a reputable hotel and avoid private Air B&B places. We ended up staying at a dump and no hotel rooms were available because of a cruise that was leaving the next day.

Papeete at first glance could be a nice place to stay. Warm weather, good food and drinks. Seafront promenade is just gorgeous. But a lot of homeless people and dogs are as decay for the city. Well, some of the US cities like Phili are the same...

The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it.
The French influence in Tahiti is everywhere and I loved it. Food is amazing, I had great meals out and the Carrefour supermarkets are better stocked than my local supermarkets here in the UK. I just liked the vibe. There are lots of places to eat and drink, decent shopping to be had and I liked the people. The port where you can catch boats to other islands is in town too!

I enjoyed the Markets the most and the street stalls.

I loved the fresh pastries - especially the bread sticks
I found finding a place in town was better for us, as the cost for taxi's was very pricey.
I would avoid staying out in the suburbs and ensure to have an offline currency converter handy as there were times i got caught off guard and ended paying double the amount I intended.

Little to do in the city aside from shopping.
Little to do in the city aside from shopping. That all stops on Sundays entirely, and largely disappears on Saturday afternoons too. Public transport is almost impossible, not helped by the website or the tourism office. There are no beaches walkable from the city centre, so you're left needing to find a tour, a public bus (not on sundays though), or renting a car/scooter.

Papeete is a good destination. Don' stay at hotes downtown.
Papeete is a good destination. Don' stay at hotes downtown. Too hard n to get around with uneven footpaths and cars parked were pedestrians should have access. Stay at a resort west of the airport
I felt extremely welcomed here! I felt more like I was staying at a good friend’s home rather than a generic hotel. I arrived after all the restaurants were closed and they were kind enough to give me some food even though that was not part of the service. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I hope I can stay here again next time I’m in Papeete. I would highly recommend this place!
The huge room was completely new with luxury and stylish furniture, amazing ocean view, and the most advanced and sophisticated hot-tub in the room that I ever saw.
The restaurant was excellent as well as the Tahitian show.
Some nice shops with friendly and welcoming staff.
The best was the black sand beach, so soft with warm, quiet, and transparent sea, and lovely palm trees.
Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed using the pool and relaxing before we went to Mo'orea the following day. It was only a 5-10 minute walk from most attractions in Papeete like the market and food truck park. We stayed here on our first night but had such a nice experience that we came back again before we flew back to the US.
The hotel and rooms are extremely modern, new and clean. Our room had a separate are with a door where our daughter could stay. Staff is very nice, and there is an excellent restaurant and bar on the premises. Location is excellent, short walk from ferry and in downtown. Hotel is close to airport and staff will make sure you have a taxi there, even at 4AM.
Very lovely and affordable hostel. Right in the center of Papeete, across from the Tahiti market, walking distance to ferry, 8 min drive to airport. Maui the owner is incredibly helpful and organized. I had such a pleasant experience here i returned. Friendly atmosphere good for stopping at as a stop over on your way to explore the islands.
Location is convenient and within walking distance to town. Enjoyed gym facility with access straight into the pool. Luggage storage on check-out before we got picked up later in the afternoon was so convenient and at no extra cost. Mauruuru Hotel Tahiti Nui.
Everyone was very nice. They arranged our transportation from the ferry, to the hotel, then to the airport. The food was very good. Everything was very clean. I would definitely stay here again. The black sand beach was very silky. Beautiful grounds.
Location was good, close to market, main bus stop, ferry to Moorea. Owner (Ethelle) and staff were super nice and helpful. It was great to have a driver available when needed for a reasonable price. Pool was nice, it can be pretty hot in Papeete.
location is good for pier to Morea and short walking to the shopping center , unfortunately new year almost shops are closed, we cannot buy any pearl which someone said it’s cheaper in Tahiti compare to Bora Bora , Morea and Raiatea
Perfect place when arriving in Tahiti as a first stop. When raveling around the islands this is the last hotel you will see as we know it in Europe. And in pretty Tahitian style to get used to it:)!
Perfect stop off in Papeete. Lovely breakfast with great views over the sea. Huge room, friendly staff. Quiet and a little out of town but on a bus route with frequent buses. Food Trucks very close.
Good location, easy to get to from the airport and perfect for a stop before onward travel. Rooftop bar and restaurant also really nice and walking distance from town market and food trucks
Hotel was a convenient distance from the airport for a short stay between flights. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Easy walking distance to waterfront restaurants.
It was a great place for a one night stay. The hotel picked us up at the airport They also transported us to the ferry dock the next day. Good breakfast and clean facilities.
Very beautiful hotel close to the airport. Striking distance to the ferry to the neighboring island of Moorea. Friendly staff. Beautiful pool area. A wonderful Tahitian dream.
Great location in central Papeete, close to ferry, easy drive to airport.
Clean, modern facilities. Awesome rooftop bar and helpful staff. Comfortable beds
Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Nice pool, bar and restaurants. Few minutes from the airport. Walkway connecting hotel to supermarket was very convenient.
Hotel is well located and quaint. Provides many areas for comfortable outside seating. There is a free shuttle provided to the airport or ferry terminal.
