Tampere is super beautiful town between two big lakes.
Tampere is super beautiful town between two big lakes. There are culture destinations like museums, famous sport and entertainment hall NOKIA ARENA, amusement park Särkänniemi, for kids there are two indoor fun parks (Hop Lop and Leo Leikkimaa), bars, restaurants, two big shopping centers next to each other in the city center, carting car driving center, wonderful views and jogging places, for summer times Hatanpään arboretum (botanical garden), two big SPA's (Tampereen Kylpylä and Kylpylähotelli Nokian Eden) , downhill skiing center MUSTAVUORI, a few bowling centers with glow bowling and music... A lot of fun things to do!

Tampere is a modern yet quiet city in Finland.
Tampere is a modern yet quiet city in Finland. A lot of green, museums and activities. There is also a good offer of hotel and restaurants. The city is surrounded by great nature in every direction and a lake nearbye. I would advice this ton to families or to anybody who needs to recharge but prefers cities over the total wilderness. Personally, i hope to be back and continue exploring the region.

As an old Tampere resident I enjoyed to drop by, visit Kellariteatteri, eat well and enjoy a nice stay in a good hotel. We had lunch in the old market hall and dinner in our hotel's restaurant (Solo Hotel Torni) listening a good live artist.

We went to Tampere as a long time friend lives there and has a business, to be honest i don't see it as a tourist destination, apparently there are concerts and sporting events that draw people from other countries but not a place i would recommend as a typical city break
The hotel was super strategically located and had easy access to everywhere. It was so convenient to reach all the locations I needed. In addition the hotel staff was super Helpful, Hospitable and Amazing. They literally always ready to help you in any occasion - be it from getting the best recommendations, assistance in some administrative matters and also their warmth is comforting. I am thankful to Sinii, Kaisa and many others who made my stay memorable. Highly recommended for all travellers to Tampere, Finland!
As my previous Omena in Helsinki, what you get for what you pay is great. Not for people who like to be welcomed by reception staff - you get sent a a door code. I may be confusing the Tampere and Turku Omenas. I think this one also had the red bathroom unit, but this was newer and more solid. Good to have coffee, kettle fridge. Location is just a few yards off the main street in the city. This was cleaner and tidier than the Helsinki hotel. I seem to recall it being a better shape than the Helsinki Kamppi hotel.
-Very stylish and spacious room, loved the view over the city, it's good fun watching the trains comming through the station.
-Super comfortable and large bed, I slept like a log!
-bathrobe and slippers are provided.
-friendly staff.
-central location, right next to the station. If the weather is bad, there's a covered walkway leading you to the hotel without getting wet or cold.
Breakfast was not included, so no breakfast at the hotel. The location is very central. And only about 12 minutes walk from the train station and even less to the bus station though I did not use the buses. The kitchen facilities were superb though I only used the kettle and fridge.
The room was very big and had everything needed in it for a comfortable stay.
Near the city, but walking thru the beautiful forest to get there, ~30minutes, was a real pleasure😊 Rooms were spotless, very modern, all staff were friendly and curteous. Breakfast buffet excellent. A bus/local to train station and town, or other sightseeing was just a block away and less than a 20minute wait. A great place to stay👍
Amazing sauna/gym facilities on the lower level and its central location made this hotel experience 5 star in my opinion. Breakfast was a nice big spread with lots of options. Highly recommend this hotel if staying in Helsinki metro area. Staff were very accommodating with luggage storage as well.
The location is nice, close to the train station. The bed was lovely and comfortable, nice bathroom with heated floor. I also liked that the room was very quiet. The breakfast was nice, though a bit expensive. But overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back again :-).
Wonderful historical setting; not just the history of the hotel itself and it’s wonderfully preserved period decor, but the physical setting of the hotel alongside the rapids that made Tampere into such a key city. It was a great stay in a great city. We loved it!
It has a convenient location near the Tampere train station as well as walking distance from the city's main sights. It feels very modern yet at the same time very comfy, friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a night or two.
Beautiful hotel, recently done, everything is great and works. Fantastic breakfast! Great staff and queuing machines for rush hours. Pricy but worth it. Location is good as well, 5 min walk from the railway station.
Our room on 21st floor was really clean and stylish. The room was quiet although the hotel seemed to be fully booked. Rooftop bar was crowded but the drinks were excellent. Breakfast was perfect.
Nice hotel with friendly staff in the city center and right next to the train station. Very nice and comfortable rooms with everything you need and as a bonus good breakfast. :)
the studio is super big and comfy,i was just for one day but surely will come back
