This was my sixth visit to Menton I love the relaxed atmosphere of the old town the daily bells from the church lovely friendly locals easy access by bus to Nice,Monte Carlo and by train to the friday Market in Vetimiglia and very affordable travel,daily breakfast at different little cafes.It is cheap enough to eat out while on holiday you don't have to food shop or cook if you don't want to,but a fabulous indoor fresh food market for those who prefer to eat at home.

Beautiful Italianate town …. gorgeous views everywhere … sadly , not many restaurants open in the evenings in March . Val Rahmeh garden stunning … well worth a visit … a short bus ride away …. And the cemetery has incredible views … L’Orangeraie hotel does great meals for non residents … and very reasonable price ! I went for the Citrus Festival which was well managed and a visual delight. Menton is a lovely city anway but a-buzz due to the festival. As its close to Italian boarded its and easy day trip on the train or the other way into Monaco, Antibes, Nice etc. Market outstanding ideal if you have your own cooking facitliaties. We went there for the "FETE DU CITRON" with the children (8 and 3 yrs old) and it was super. The events were very nice; just a suggestion for the parades: book in advance the seats. The old city is very nice for walks. Lots of playgrounds for children .AAnonymous

Very close to the centre of Menton, the beach and the railway station. All only a short walk away. Breakfast was excellent and the bonus was the option of a cooked breakfast of scrambled egg and bacon. The reception staff were very helpful looking up train times to Monte Carlo for us and recommending good places to eat. A credit to the hotel. Secure parking was another real bonus.

The Travel Information office only wanted to share information on Menton and discourage me from leaving to go to other towns or villages until I spent 4-5 days in Menton.There isn't enough to do in this town for that amount of time.

Our balcony had a palm tree right outside. Small beds but comfortable. Could not hear traffic below when sleeping. Breakfast was lovely.
