This is the fourth Castle hotel I've stayed in across three trips to Ireland and it ranks at the top. Rooms were very well cared for and large, beds were outstanding. Really appreciated the late breakfast and check out after the first night in Ireland. Helped to overcome sleep deprivation.
Offering a terrace and views of the lakes, The Lodge @ Harvey's Point is located 6km from Donegal, 35 km from Letterkenny.

We booked here last minute as the place we were supposed to stay in Donegal had some plumbing issues. It ended up working out great because we absolutely loved this place. The owners were so kind and went out of their way to help with anything. The rooms were larger than I expected and were so cute. The location was so close to town, it was perfect. There was a common area that we didn't get time to use but would have been perfect for playing games. I can't say enough good things about Siân and Donegal Manor. Will stay here again in the future if I ever make it back to Donegal.

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Slieve League is a must and Glenveagh castle and gardens, which are open, are charming. Other attractions in the area are worth a visit.

North west Donegal has spectacular beaches without any doubt. There are far too many houses built on land that has sea views, this has to be ignored by any visitors.
The Fanad peninsula was the best place, not as developed.

Donegal is one of the loveliest parts of Ireland and always worth a visit, from the wild countryside to Errigal mountain and the rugged coastline. The people are very friendly and welcoming. This was a short visit, but I have been before and stayed longer.

O' Donnell castle or Donegal castle was the highlight of our stay, plus a visit to Slieve League, as it was raining so much we just travelled around in the care, taking in the views as we could. Donegal is a great County to visit but you need the sunshine to see it at its best. If you visit Ireland, Donegal is a must place to go. Tara Hotel in Killybegs is the place to have your meals, great food great staff.
Second time staying at Ros Dun. Excellent location, just 2 minutes walk into Donegal Town. House is lovely and really well maintained. Our room was at the front of the house, with en suite and a walk in wardrobe. Everything about Ros Dun and our room was immaculate.
Continental breakfast the following morning with plenty of tea and coffee.
Geraldine and Michael are superb hosts. Great communication pre-arrival and helpful and friendly while we were there.
A really enjoyable stay. We will be back.
Good quiet cosy little bungalow, with everything you need for a wee self catering break away ,warm and quiet with the option of having a real fire it suited us perfectly as we were attending the harvest rally and didn't want to be in a hotel in town as parking is a nightmare, we fitted two cars into our yard easily ,situated just off the n56 killybegs road it offers easy access to donegal town ,the fishing port of killybegs and a great base for touring donegal County,
The location is a tiny slice of heaven. 10 minutes out of Donegal Town on a winding road in the trees. The vet from the property over Lough Eske is incredible! The garden and grounds are stunning and it gives a fairytale feel to the entire stay.
We were the only 2 guests that night and the owner couldn't have been nicer! She made a beautiful breakfast for us, a good strong cup of coffee and terrific conversation! I would go back here in a heartbeat!!!
Beautiful property in a truly idyllic location with most wonderful hosts in Patsy and Anne. Couldn’t be more welcoming or hospitable.
Everything about this property lends to a really nice relaxing stay. Location is incredible for Walks Hiking Cycling etc while at same time only a short spin to Donegal town. Breakfast Cleanliness and hospitality of a very high standard. Would highly recommend.
Jack and his family are incredible hosts. We were greeted upon arrival and given wonderful recommendations on the area. We were able to park our car at the property and walk into town daily. There was a mini fridge in our room, coffee and tea, and something brought to our door each morning for breakfast. This is more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We had a wonderful time!
Harvey's Point is situated on the coast of the beautiful Lough Eske near Donegal. The view from our hotel room window was amazing. We only stayed there for one night but we had a great experience for the short time we've been there. We had dinner at the Bar & Terrace restaurant, the food was really good. After dinner, we sat at the bar for a couple of drinks.
The house is in a lovely location close to Donegal town, and has a great garden to the side where our dog loved roaming. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed comfy, and the binder with local tips from the owners super helpful (we discovered some lovely beaches thanks to their maps).
What an amazing location, just outside Donegal Town!
I had a few days away with my mum and two younger sisters and we booked the family room.
It was so comfortable and such a large room
Breakfast next morning was a feast and set us up for the day before we headed to the beach
We were attending a concert in the Hotel. When we booked in the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming.
Our room was easy got to, beautiful views overlooking the bay. it was cozy and clean. Excellent location central to all actives within Donegal town
Great location for Donegal town, 5 mins walk from centre. We had an outside room, which suited us, as we were late out each evening. Rooms great size and very clean. Staff very friendly. We had breakfast at Blas and again faultless, will definitely be back
nice rooms & amenities, kitchen available for use w/ coffee tee, living spaces & lovely outdoor patio, beautiful scenic rural location but only 20 min walk to donegal town & 10 mins to shops. fantastic breakfast! hosts very kind.
It was well located to Donegal town and surrounding area for sightseeing e.g. Killybegs, Slieve league, Glencolimcille, Ardara etc. close to Lidl and other food outlets. We had a room each, was quiet, clean.
Fabulous hotel in a really good location. Easy 10 minute walk into the town.
Dinner was very good and the staff are very friendly and prompt.
Highly recommend if sight seeing in the surrounding area.
Great service, friendly staff and delicious breakfast! The location is very close to the city center and the town is very cute. Would highly recommend staying here if passing through Donegal!
truly in just outside the heart of town, excellent location, wonderfully helpful & friendly hosts, if & when I return to Donegal this would be the only place I would ever want to stay in!
Beautiful comfortable, clean, fresh home and so easy to get to Donegal town or surrounding areas, very central. Spoke with Ann on the phone and she is so lovely.
