The Lansdowne Kenmare, hotel in Kenmare

Neidin is the Irish word for Kenmare and translates to Little Nest. A Little Nest is exactly what was envisaged in 1790 when The Lansdowne first opened its door.

Lovely location in a lively town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. High standard of cleanliness. Good live music from a folk band in the bar.

I traveled around Ireland for two weeks and stayed in several cities. Kenmare was one of my favorites for shopping, access to music, scenery and the BEST lodging and restaurant at Brooklane. Highly recommend both!

Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town.

Kenmare is a charming, small Irish town. We loved walking through the streets with many shops, pubs and restaurants. Both Holy Cross and St. Patrick's churches are worth a visit. Kenmare is a perfect base for driving the Ring of Kerry and visiting Killarney National Park. We had a fabulous dinner at The Coachman's pub, sitting outside on a pleasant October evening but there are many other dining options too.

A very warm welcome on our arrival from Lucy the owner who always had time for a chat. Situated in the town centre it is close to the shops, restaurants and bars and it is a good base for touring the local area. Our room was spacious and warm and our bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous with the American Style Pancakes and Eggs Benedict the best we ever had. We had a lovely time in Kenmare despite the bad weather and we look forward to returning an we will definitely stay with Lucy again.

The location was superb. Less than a five minute walk from the town centre. The Creamy Cottage is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of clean, fresh towels. We parked our car safely at the side of the house. Kenmare itself is a lovely little town, consisting of two main streets with plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes Overall, myself, my wife and our two sons had a very satisfying short break.

Wonderful friendly efficient staff from reception to bar, to housekeeping. Nothing was too much trouble. Our lodge, no 27 was a perfect base for our sons wedding to his beautiful Kerry bride. It was like home from home. I would highly recommend it to any family group traveling to a wedding.Function room was beautiful. Wedding meal amazing, all the guests really enjoyed it. We all enjoyed being so near Kenmare town too just a short stroll away.

Great location just far enough from the busiest art of Kenmare, but only a half block away. Lucy was a lovely hostess and her scones were to die for! Breakfast was great. She has all kinds of helpful information and recommendations. Room was spacious and bathroom was charming. All recently renovated. Bed was comfortable. The shower was small, water got hot very, very slowly and water pressure wasn’t good. Still wouldn’t deter me from booking again.

Exceptional B&B. The owners are so nice and go out of their way to make sure you are happy. They even have a parking area for their guests. It is just a few minutes away by car or taxi from the town of Kenmare and it is a super convenient location for an early start on the Ring of Kerry and/or Killarney National Park. Our included breakfast was outstanding and exceeded expectations! Everything was beautiful and I would highly recommend!!

We stayed at 5 hotels during a 2 week trip to Ireland, at least 2 of them were 5 stars and Brook Lane was our favorite. It felt personal, warm and comfortable. And it was SPOTLESS, with good sized rooms. The staff was friendly, the food and service at Casey's was exceptional particularly considering the price x value. The location is perfect for walking access to Kenmare and for driving access the Ring of Kerry. I will be back!

Margaret is an exceptional host, who really made us feel welcome. She gave us excellent advice on interesting places to visit and dine. The highlight of our stay was a truly magnificent breakfast, with bowls of freshly made porridge and delicious fresh fruit. Her homemade brown bread and cake were truly delicious. This breakfast matches anything you would get in a 4 or 5 star hotel! Top class Margaret!
