Best bed I've slept in at a Motel, so comfortable and didn't wake up with sore back.
Breakfast buffet was good but not very hot so by the time you are halfway through it was cold.

I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing.
I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

We just stayed one night on our way to Stewart island as we have been here many times.
We did a trip to Port Chalmers as we hadn’t been there. It a a cute town with a working port. Worth a look and a bit of a walk around.
This is the second stay here for us. Both stays have been awesome. The motel apartments are absolutely huge and super comfortable. Motel staff members are super nice people. Even get some milk on arrival, newspapers daily and new towels and rubbish taken from the room each day. The motel apartments are definitely dated but that goes with the Dunedin experience and the apartments have character and the comfort factor. Extremely great value for money as very affordably priced compared to other accommodation.
This hostel is central to Dunedin, so you do not have to walk far to the restaurants and bars in the Octagon. The hostel sits over a large bar with a lot of billiard tables. Seems very popular with the locals and college students studying at the nearby University of Otago. The dorm rooms are typical bunk bed layouts with budget twin mattresses. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and a decent kitchen area. They have free breakfast, but it is a pretty minimal offering.
Excellent space, style and layout. The apartment has been beautifully restored and well appointed.
While the apartment is next to a busy arterial road, and naturally gets some traffic noise in the lounge (but not excessively so), the double glazing and general soundproofing works a treat in the bedroom.
It's situated next to a part of Dunedin that has gone through a revival so the food options are on point.
Put simply, I could live here.
Excellent hotel and superb customer service; I had requested an early check-in and the front desk staff checked me in immediately when I reached the hotel at 11am!! I also booked the airport shuttle through them and had gone out in the morning; the staff called me 15 minutes prior to my pick up time to ensure that I didn't miss it and was at the hotel on time. Definitely a must stay hotel in Dunedin.
Superb room, with m’wave, washer, drier, great size, v comfy bed, shower was great just press of button and 40C of water coming out. Hotel made from previous high quality building, Post Office I think. Central position in Dunedin. Parking structure right next to Hotel locked up at night but you can still go in and out anytime. Good breakfast.
Amross hotel is in a great location for exploring Dunedin. The owners were very welcoming, helping us with luggage to our first floor accommodation. They also supplied a map of Dunedin with top tips for sightseeing which was really helpful. Our accommodation was very spacious, quiet and spotlessly clean.
We rent a 2 bedroom apartment at this delightful hotel every year as we visit our daughter at Otago Uni. We travel from Auckland. Location is fantastic, close to Octagon, it's private and charming. Boutique feel, easy to deal with. Spotless, comfortable and quiet.
Beautiful boutique hotel well appointed self contained room.
Everything required is in the room washing and drying facilities
Rooms are immaculately maintained as is the rest of the property
Great location in Dunedin easy walk to restaurants
Loved everything about it! Rooms were clean, spacious and very stylish. The staff were helpful and I loved the overall layout of the hotel. Probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Dunedin.
We had a lovely stay. The apartments were close to town warm and cosy had every thing we needed.
Nice and clean. We were lucky to have an apartment that included a washer n dryer! Look forward to staying again soon. Love Dunedin!
Well situated Motel right in heart of Dunedin. Hotel Manager very cheerful and helpful. Good parking right outside units. Units very well equipped especially kitchen. Very clean. Laundry facilities available.
Everything about the room and the hotel was great, location comfort, space, accessories for the room. Location to central district was great for walking to meetings, shopping, food.
Brilliant, newly renovated hotel situated in the centre of Dunedin. We had such a lovely stay and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly that I’m sure we will stay again!
Location: easy walking to shops and University Graduation Ceremony. I have some mobility problems and the location of the Hotel made it easier for me to walk to places.
