I visited the Farmers Market which was fun. I also had a takeaway meal of blue cod, oysters and homemade chips from Best Cafe. The meal was amazing.
I visited a part of the Botanic gardens which was lovely and watched a women’s rugby game at Opoho, just above the Gardens. We were treated to beautiful weather and a large flocks of wood pigeons!

It was very cold, but luckily it didn't rain and where we've stayed our heatpump was amazing. Dunedin is beautiful with very old beautiful buildings and lots of noisy students walking in the main streets until very late talking very loud and kicking rubbish bins.

St Clair beach good places to stay and eat. Easy city to get around.
Friendly people. Beautiful buildings and good shopping with helpful people. All round a lovely city, just don't stay at On Top backpackers and get ripped off. Not what I paid for/ promised by Booking.Com.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at The Temrinus! The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from the fully equipped kitchen to the convenient washing machine and dryer (a huge plus for travelers). The stylish decor and large windows provided stunning views, and the location in the city center made exploring Dunedin a breeze. The complementary fruits and breakfast essentials were a lovely touch, adding to the overall exceptional experience. We highly recommend The Temrinus for anyone visiting Dunedin!
This hostel is central to Dunedin, so you do not have to walk far to the restaurants and bars in the Octagon. The hostel sits over a large bar with a lot of billiard tables. Seems very popular with the locals and college students studying at the nearby University of Otago. The dorm rooms are typical bunk bed layouts with budget twin mattresses. The bathrooms were reasonably clean and a decent kitchen area. They have free breakfast, but it is a pretty minimal offering.
The hotel was well situated - convenient to walk into central Dunedin, and close to restaurants. The owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful - provided lots of advice about places to visit and where to eat.
We were also able to use the washing machine and dryer which was very handy.
Our bed was comfortable and the room well appointed.
Definitely recommend as a place to stay in Dunedin.
Excellent hotel and superb customer service; I had requested an early check-in and the front desk staff checked me in immediately when I reached the hotel at 11am!! I also booked the airport shuttle through them and had gone out in the morning; the staff called me 15 minutes prior to my pick up time to ensure that I didn't miss it and was at the hotel on time. Definitely a must stay hotel in Dunedin.
It’s always very clean and the reason we always book with Scenic is due to the beds. They are so comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud! The staff are always so helpful and polite and the location is right in town so you don’t need to worry about taxis etc. Whenever we come to Dunedin we always book this hotel.
Well presented and spotlessly clean with an excellent shower. Everything you could realistically want for a short stay. Very close to the Botanical Gardens and restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Dunedin is 20 minutes walk or a short bus-ride from right outside the hotel.
Breakfast was of international hotel standard with amazing variety of cooked breakfast of your choice plus continental breakfast .Spoilt for choice on both counts.
The staff were attentive and very accomodating .
We did not have dinner but the cafe food was great too
We stayed in their standard room and it was not "standard". Modern apartment look. Showers' swell! Room is warm and cozy, close to the octagon and central Dunedin shops, plenty street Car parking available. Netflix.
Enjoyed staying at this hotel for a number of reasons. Very welcoming hosts, great location to town and rooms were good size and very clean. No A/C in room so we were provided a fan which was fine.
Brilliant, newly renovated hotel situated in the centre of Dunedin. We had such a lovely stay and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly that I’m sure we will stay again!
I had an enjoyable couple of days in Dunedin. The hotel was close to the places I wanted to visit and parking was a bonus. Staff were friendly and I had no complaints. Thank you.
Loved the care the owners are putting into restoring the hotel as a very comfortable and welcoming place, with good homemade food on site. Excellent chicken soup!
The design, the beds - cleanliness and big windows. Despite being a smaller hotel everything felt big and wide open. Wonderful ambience. And lovely staff!
