We had an amazing view of Lake Te Anau from our room. Could watch the changing weather as it moved over the lake. Easy to get into Te Anau town centre from Radfords on the Lake. Parking for our room was directly outside the room. Most appreciated as we both use walking sticks.

Great place to enjoy the Great walks of New Zealand.
We did the Keplar track for 3 days and it was amazing. The scenery is breath taking and we got some outstanding whether. It even snowed on our hike which wasn't really expected for the time of year. The Huts were all clean and tidy and the Hutt Wardens do such a great job of keeping everyone informed and safe. Would recommend this Hike. It was also nice to come back and stay at a comfortable and reasonably priced place. Great Hot showers and comfortable rooms. We will be back.

People often only go to Te Anau just to take the Milford Sound tour. There is so much for to see and do! It really is a place to just relax.
Whether it's late night strolls to the souvenir stores or restaurants or taking walks along the amazing lake views that aren't crowded by other people.
If you ever want to try out cycling, Te Anau is the place to do it. Not much traffic and the price for bike hire is cheaper than Queenstown.
If you're in on a Sunday, go visit The Life Church that. A loving warm and friendly community over there.
When it comes to food, I found food shopping, Chinese food and other restaurant prices were cheaper than Queenstown. Oh, and souvenirs are also cheaper here too.

I just love the relaxed surroundings of Te Anau, it's one of my favorites destinations for a few'nights-getaway..there is lots to do and if you're adventurous you can do even more! Amazing nature, the lake is just stunning, township is not too big but has all you could want/need. Brilliant food places...love The Ranche and the Moose. Redcliff restaurant and bar is a unexpected find, quaint and quirky but great food and staff. Overall, Te Anau is a beautiful destination if you're looking for somewhere not too touristy (at least, it doesn't feel that way)

This is a nice location which has everything.
This is a nice location which has everything. The town centre has everything that you would need. Friendly people in shops and businesses. Great range of different restaurants. Excellent tourist attractions. Very convenient to Milford Sound - 2 hours through stunning countryside. A lot better to travel from Te Anau to Milford Sound or Doubtful Sound than to come from Queenstown - 4 hours travel
The best place we found to eat and just chill at was Red Cliff Bar and Restaurant - friendly staff, exceptional food and first rate service.
A couple of must do's are: Wings and Water (float plane) with Ivan and Cruise Te Anau with Peter. Both locals, highly entertaining and knowledgeable.

This is a great, very small town that makes a great stay to see the Fiordlands. Stay at a location with a view of the lake. Activities from here are a great choice. The lake and mountains are beautiful and eat at the Ranch, best place we ate on both islands.

A lovely place and central to attractions with easy access to Doubtful Sound. Really glad we missed out on Milford Sound as the trip to Doubtful was amazing. Did the Glow Worms tour which was wonderful.
Absolutely loved it here. The rooms were quiet and clean. The beds were very comfortable which is usually hard to find when away, but not here. Unfortunately we have had to leave our rental car there due to a key issue, and they were very accommodating to this. Lovely people to chat to. I highly recommend staying here, and if or should I say when we come back will definitely stay here.
Te Anau he gateway to the most beautiful scenery NZ has to offer.
The lodge had a real old world charm about it that I have not experienced in any of my travels. Mark, our host, is charm personified and spared no effort to make us comfortable from the moment we entered his lodge.
So tastefully decorated, with each item and piece of furniture located with great thought. The old nunnery has really come alive under Mark.
I encourage folk to visit Te Anau and stay with Mark...you won't regret it.
SPOTLESS - best maintains hotel I have ever stayed in…and I was at the fairmont right before this.
really good location in te Anau for a day trip to Milford sound, the town is very picturesque
very attentive to details - lots of little extras like scent bags on the beds to great you ect
great service - we were recommended 3 awesome restaurants, gave us great advice on the drive to Milford sound.
I had a comfortable stay at Te Anau Lakeview Kiwi Holiday Park. Everything was very basic, but I expected as much going in. Wifi was strong. Everything was clean. Communication was clear. I slept well there. When I accidentally locked myself out of my room, getting a back-up key was simple. Easy come, easy go. I'd return.
Helen was friendly. Location was close to Te Anau. You get to see a few rare animals (2 alpacas, 2 horses, 1 rooster, 2 rabbits), and you may get to feed a baby sheep (although I think the host may have separated the baby sheep from its mom to provide this experience to guests).
I was blown away, compared with other motels I had checked out Kingsgate was really a hotel. The bathroom was really nice. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. It was quiet and in a great location and the price was the same as for motels with very average facilities.
The garden room had a lovely view of the garden. The room was smartly decorated and the facilities were good. Bed was comfortable. Loved the sheets.
Having breakfast provided was a nice touch.
Heated towel rail was a luxury.
The property is stunning to walk around.
The motel is situated very conveniently to everything in Te Anau. It's just a short drive to one of the major attractions in the area, the starting point for Doubtful Sound and the Te Any glow worm caves. It's also a good spot for taking a day trip to Milford Sound.
Perfect place to stay in Te Anau. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't fault anything. Lovely room, great facilities, very comfortable beds and who could argue with the view. Perfectly placed for a walk to the centre or a walk to the bird sanctuary.
We had a lovely stay at Aden motel in Te Anau! The owner was helpful and provided us with detailed maps of the area, the room was clean and had everything we needed, the internet was fast, and the heater worked well in the middle of winter!
Amazing location, very close to the Te Anau lake with gorgeous views of the mountains. Very conveniently located for a drive to Milford sound and back in the same day. Lots of places to explore nearby as well. Gary was an amazing host!
good value for money. on the cheaper side of motels so I did not expect the Hyatt.
stayed in a unit for 4 people at the back (by where the motor homes are parked).
Close to town, quiet and the room was clean and tidy.
Wonderful, comfortable and clean motel in a convenient location close to Lake Te Anau, with lots of restaurants nearby. Perfect base to explore the Milford Road and Milford Sound. We really enjoyed our stay.
Good motel conveniently located near centre of Te Anau. Pretty comfortable, good facilities. Guest laundry is helpful but needs $1 and $2 coins and no staff were present on site to provide change.
The atmosphere of the holiday park was great. We had a great site and our children loved the playground. Our children were asking to go back before we even left Te Anau today.
A lovely motel. Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay at this motel the next occasion I am visiting Te Anau. A lovely experience!
Vintage outback style inn. Cozy room, central location in Te Anau. Is free parking right at your motel doorstep. Love the led light mirror in the bathroom.
Nice large room. The hotel is across the street from the lake. Easy walk into town. The staff was very friendly at check-in and out. Convenient parking.
