Location: proximity to Sovereign Hill is excellent. Room 6: our initial room and bed-lamps for both beds. Room 6 to 5: staff provided assistance moving to another room that had a working tv + given a bottle of wine for the inconvenience of having to relocate to another room. Room 5: room we transferred to had 2 separate bedrooms which was an upgrade for us.
Décor: old world feel created with dark furniture and warm lighting which created a welcoming ambience. Bathroom: low level light over vanity is welcomed, as most lights are blinding during the night + mirror height positioned to be suitable for tall and short people. Carport: Great to have the car under cover especially in winter. On site restaurant: Azzuri is excellent. Great food. Great ambience with wood fire going. I would definitely stay here again. We were there in winter so didn’t use the pool or gym. Very quiet. Great to have the car under cover and not have to scrape ice off in the morning.

Ballarat is terrific.
Ballarat is terrific. Full of history, culture and shopping. Lake Wendouree and the Botanic gardens are always a delight. Lunch at Craigs Hotel Atrium was very special and a good price. The Gallery always has something new to see as the exhibits change often. Eureka Stockade museum is a really good exhibition and tells the story of the Rebellion. The King Bakery on Sturt street has THE BEST vanilla slices and meat pies. Yellow Espresso next door does a great coffee too. Op shops are well situated. Messer & Opie is a really nice Men's & Women's clothing shop in the Bridge street Mall. Although Ballarat is more hilly than you'd think walking around the area is still easy.

I would have liked to have walked in the downtown area but I didn't know how to pay for parking.
The main purpose of being in Ballarat was to visit Sovereign Hill which we could have spent so much more time at. This was better than we had expected.
Friendly staff, great performances and there was a feeling of going back to different times in history.

Ballarat is a historical gem, it reeks of history everywhere you go and is easy to get around. The restaurants, cafes, pubs and people we met were all great. We have been several times now and we will go back as the region has plenty to offer . If you go in winter, rug up.

Sovereign Hill was excellent, well worth it.
Sovereign Hill was excellent, well worth it. More information for travellers who come on the train would be useful, about public transport Food good in Nolan’s, but quiet, excellent meal in Meigas

Beds, linen and other amenities were clean and as expected. The size of the room was too small for a family of 4. The rooms located far from the front office and there was no facility to take heavy luggage as there were steps, you have to lift the it up to be able to take it inside the hotel. The surface was no smooth to roll the wheels of the luggage boxes. It was mentioned at the front office that due to the type of the design the floor are all rough, however, there should be a smooth path to move the luggage boxes around easily.
Firstly, being able to have our beloved dogs with us was awesome. We were opposite really great walks to take.
Whole house with a garage was such a treat and lovely to have pet bowl was a lovely touch.
It was a lovely quiet part of Ballarat.
The comfort of the home was a tribute to all the very thoughtful things that made our stay wonderful (we like to cook).
A large Motel right next to the Eureka Centre at Ballarat. Large Comfortable rooms and stocked with all the usual requirements. I think that this place has had an upgrade. It shows and is all the better for it. No cheap Motels in Ballarat (that are livable anyway) but this one stacks up well against the others. Fantastic location for historic touring.
Don’t judge a book by its cover!! We were so pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to our room. It was clean and spacious for our family of 4, with a big bathroom with big fluffy towels. It’s in a great location, (close to sovereign hill which was a bonus for us) and was really well priced. Huge bed too!
What a surprise. Landing in this hotel you will land smack bang in the middle to a history time capsule. Must be seen to be believed. Staying here really bring the history of the town alive today. Do the town read and walk history guide. There’s one for the statues and one for the buildings.
We loved Hotel Vera, an exceptional property in a brilliant location - you can walk to all of the facilities in central Ballarat easily. Beautifully curated and designed, and a super comfortable bed. The owners are amazing and can recommend lots of different eating places.
I was upgraded to a family room which was quite large and had a queen bed and a full bed. The bathroom had just been upgraded so very large, modern, walk in shower with plenty of hot water, comfortable bed. In this price range the motel is a good value.
Room was basically very good and very well equipped. The hotel is convenient to central Ballarat.
There are very good breakfast places (we were glad Oscars breakfast was not taking place due to shortage of chefs) and restaurants in the vicinity.
great location, centrally located. This property is also a quick walk to Ballarat train station. comfortable bed and very clean. It’s sound proof so I slept so well, couldn’t hear any noise from other guests within the hotel.
Everything inside & outside - super. This time we only stay for 2 nights, next time we'll stay for longer for sure. Heidi and her family were fantastic and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. Thanks so much.
the absolute cutest house with really cool deco, right next to cafe for a yummy breakfast and close to a pub for dinner, also close to ballarat station. the freebies were really thoughtful as well with bobby pins etc.
House at no. 10 is a fabulous gem right in the centre of Ballarat town. It was meticulously clean and very thoughtfully appointed for guests. We stayed for one night only and wished we could have stayed longer!
The customer service and food were great. The Hotel facilities and grounds were lovely. Our room was clean, the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when in Ballarat.
Brilliant boutique hotel- So clean and comfortable. Gorgeous historic building renovated to the highest standard. I would not stay anywhere else in Ballarat! Can’t wait to go back some day.
Beautiful heritage property which has been restored and upgraded. Room was cosily warm - important in Ballarat! Free parking in the centre of town . Coffee shop & restaurant in the hotel.
