* The location was great!
* The beds were amazing!
* The WiFi was great.
* It was a nice change to get some TV in English (other than news and sport!) So we enjoyed a movie on our first night.
* It was great having a laundry, although it would be helpful if they sold individual detergent portions as we ended up having to buy a whole bottle for just one wash. We don't generally travel with laundry detergent.

At the centre of the Mayan Riveria is Playa del Carmen, a playground for hip Europeans and toned-and-tanned Americans. This resort town showcases the renowned white-sand beaches of the Caribbean Coast along the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico.
Playa del Carmen's powdery white sands are nestled between Cancun to its north, Tulum in the south and the island of Cozumel, 20 km east with its fantastic diving in the nearby Great Maya Reef. Awake from an afternoon nap to take a dip, go snorkelling or deep-sea fishing in the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Playa is an easy choice as a holiday destination with its range of hotels, many first-class restaurants and beachside nightclubs. Quinta Avienda, also known as 5th Avenue, is the main tourist hub and shopping district. For a more authentic Mexico experience, venture outside of the centre to a local cenote (sinkhole) or Mayan ruins in Tulum.
Cruise ships dock in nearby Cozumel and traffic people to the mainland arriving at the Playa del Carmen Maritime Terminal. If the glimmering Caribbean waters are full, then Booking.com has a huge number of hotels with an outdoor swimming pool by the beach.
I went there to see a dentist. The cost to fly there and stay for week plus the dental visit was less than my cost do it here at home. So, I was there for a week.
The beaches are beautiful and the sun is strong! PDC has a busy shopping district that you have to see. 5th Ave is about 2 miles of shops and restaurants and other services like massages and pharmacies. Lots of junk and somewhat aggressive shopkeepers trying to get you into their store.
The roads that run parallel to 5th are also full of shops and restaurants, but at a much quieter pace. 1st and 10th Ave are a welcome relief from the hustles on 5th.
Be aware of scammers on 5th saying "remember me from the hotel" also you will be offered weed and cocaine many times a day when you walk up and down 5th Ave. You will get used to saying "no thank you" and just keep saying it.
PDC is safe, just keep you're head on straight and don't get too drunk while you're there. And make smart decisions.
PDC is a 3 hour bus ride to Chichen Itza and that is the must see of any trip the region.

The beach wasn't swimmable because it had a lot of rocks, a lot of seaweed and the hotel didn't clean it.
Go to Cancún, Playa del Carmen is not beautiful. The resort: Yucatan princess was the worst part, as the food served there was horrible. I came home very sad.

It was an unexpected delight. It's a walkable city close to the beach. It comes alive at night and is so serene to navigate through. The structure of the buildings are gorgeous. I loved also being around the people of Playa Del Carmen; I loved the local feel to it.

Having spent some time in Cancun, (zona hotelera) before visiting playa del Carmen, I think I would definitely prefer the beaches in Cancun. Playa del Carmen had a lot of seaweed and I found that unpleasant. The sea was alright, the facilities we didn't use because our accommodation was right in front of the beach.

The restaurant/ pool staff are amazing - they are professionals but also very genuine and kind in their interactions, a real personal touch. Our last evening at Fuego they set up a specific goodbye table with a sign and had small gifts for our children. Same at the breakfast buffet - a big thank you to Rogelio and Yexiani and Manuel and Ivan.
The food at Fuego is exceptional, huge bonus to the hotel itself which is on a beautiful property full of green lush and on the beach with pristine grounds. Rooms are cute and super well cleaned.
Location is excellent right on 5th Avenue. Like an oasis amongst the chaos. The hotel is beautiful. The staff were lovely. Cleaners left little extra touches like a Happy New Year sign as we were there for 31st Dec. I was very worried about the noise from 5th Ave so I requested a room facing the garden. I can only recommend the hotel based on this experience as the noise wasn’t bad at all. Not sure how it would be if you had a room facing the street though.
I love that this place is right on the beach. It has a great view of the ocean. Balcony has chairs to sit and enjoy the view and there is a very nice breeze. The architect of this hotel made it so the breeze runs through everything very nicely. Love that they provide beach chairs for you to sit at throughout the day. It’s another big reason I selected this place. The pool it’s nice to dip into after the ocean though it’s small. They also had hot water.
The days of inexpensive rooms right on the beach are fading fast, this place is a gem !! Yes you do walk through sand to get in and out but that’s what you expect to stay beachfront. I would stay a month if I could !! Will definitely return. Staff was very nice and helpful. Room was spacious and reminded me of the Mexico that we enjoyed before all the modern high rises. We loved it!!
Everything was great. The room was very nice, the staff was exceptional. The location gave easy access to the Playa Del Carmen shopping area with restaurants & bars. You can reach their beach in a short 10 minute ride & there is a bar/restaurant right on the beach. On my wife’s birthday they decorated our room for her, extra nice.
Spacious, clean, secure and comfortable room and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. excellent breakfast included. Best location…right on the beach, close to restaurants, shops and bars. Walking distance from the bus terminal and Cozumel Ferry. Well kept beach area with complimentary lounge chairs and tables for guests.
The location is great, right on the beach!!!! One block to the main restaurants, bars and shops on 5ft ave. . The apartment is beautiful, with all we needed. It is located only 5-6 blocks to Walmart. the balcony is exceptional, you can sit and relax while having a wonderful view, it is one of the best features of the apartment.
The last visit I made to Playa Del Carmen my hotel was noisy at night due to being near a club with booming music. My stay here at Quinta Santa Anita this was not the case, it was very quiet which I really appreciated and enjoyed. A highlight of my stay.
Close to excellent food! Away from the busy and crowded areas of PDC.
This will definitely be my hotel of choice now in Playa del Carmen. The staff are so welcoming and the rooms have huge comfortable beds and constant hot water in the shower. There are 2 small pools if you want to relax away from the beach. Both ADO bus terminals are close by as is the beach and a range of places to eat.
The hotel was fine, It's not a fancy hotel but It have all that you need to stay one o two nigth. The room was very clean and the employees were very friendly. I think It's a good place if you are going to playa del Carmen for business or travel alone, so it is not a good idea to go with children.
The hotel is really pretty and right In the Center of Playa del Carmen. We loved the room with the balcony and the hammock. There is a possibility to have breakfast on the beach in the beachclub of the hotel!
The staff is really friendly and always willing to help out.
The rooftop pool is excellent! We had great cocktails delivered to the pool and the bartender was really kind. It’s a lovely reprieve from the very tourist centre of Playa del Carmen. I did also like that the hotel was a close walk to a great local restaurant.
I appreciated the excellent service provided by the hotel staff throughout my stay. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I also liked the convenience of its location, being right on the beach line, and in the heart of Playa del Carmen.
The neighbourhood - although a bit far from the center - was super nice with lots of great and inexpensive cafes and restaurants. The hotel has a nice pool and the rooms are nice but nothing special. Good for a couple of nights in playa del carmen
Fabiola Condo Hotel is a nice hotel just few steps away from Playa del Carmen beach and city centre but still in a calm area.
The room was incredibly big and nice.
Overall we had a pleasant time there and we would advice to visit it.
Hotel right on the beach and in the heart of 5th avenue. The staff speaks very good english. Breakfast was good and they provide free deck chairs and towels for the beach. Also provided us laundry at a cost
This is a lovely small hotel right on the beachfront. Very welcoming, family friendly with sun loungers on the beach. Great staff, always helpful and have time to stop for a chat and give you advice.
