The Zollverein Mine, Unesco Heritage, worths the visit. I was there on business, but I had a great time visiting the several parks built where once there were mines or steel usines. It is a diverse city, very green. Not the very turistical place, though.Ana

The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly and spoke very good English. As a wheelchair user all aspects of my needs were catered for ie: automatic doors. It is by far the best location that you can find in the area, by far..... An old traditional German Schloss, kept in excellent condition, in the nature, in the green next to a small lake. We arrived later than expected due to traffic and we were still able to order dinner although the restaurant was about to close (I’d recommend the lasagne) Both the hotel and restaurant are dog friendly. The location is perfect. Less than 10 min walk to a small park are.

The hotel its near the main street and also near the shopping street. In the room we find two chocolate for us. The help us with an iron. The staff was too suportive.
