I would happily recommend this place to others. The rooms were clean and fresh. There were toiletries to use which are handy when travelling light for a long weekend trip, along with a fridge and hairdryer. The pool and gym were great if you have the time. The location is spot on, you are right in the centre and there is no noise. We didn't use the restaurant however did grab a drink downstairs on arrival as we were a bit early for check in. The staff were great, really helpful and suggested some nice walks close by. We used the bag storage to go and explore while we waited for check in. If you fancy a bit of history, check out the ruins on the bottom floor, won't take too long but interesting to see. Thanks for a great stay! Will definitely return.

Bruges was quite busy (very touristy) and this wasn't even the peak of the holiday season. It's an attractive city and therefore, understandably popular, but I found Ghent surprisingly more friendly.
Bruges needs to get its act together and emulate Ghent's excellent Visitor Guide books (printed in the main European languages).

Bruges has a compact town centre and it is easy to walk everywhere. There is a lively main square with elegant buildings on two sides and restaurants with outside seating on the other two.

Bruges is a gorgeous place.
Bruges is a gorgeous place. The architecture and buildings are beautiful. There is lots to do, from museums to canal boat tours, horse and carriage rides, guided walking tours and lots of good shops. A good variety of restaurants and bars, we found the food very good and people very friendly. Our journey from the UK via Euro tunnel was so easy, and finding Bruges by car was super easy.
Will definitely be back.

If you're from Europe you're probably used to picturesque old towns, but Bruges will charm you even so. It really feels like it's frozen in time (apart of course from all the touristy shops and the crowds). It's best to visit off-season, but ideally with decent weather.
The museum pass is definitely worth it, as without visiting the museums there's not much to do if you stay more than a day.
The restaurants are very expensive, and depending on if you like Belgian food might not be worth it. What is worth it though are the beers, which you definitely should take a moment to try in one of the several local pubs with cozy atmosphere.

One of my favorite and most romantic cities in Europe.
One of my favorite and most romantic cities in Europe. I love it, this was not my first time and I hope I will be back soon. This small town has lots of great places to eat, Michelin star restaurants, shopping . Town filled with history. Very easy to get around, walkable , don’t need a car. Just lovely, a picturesque view around every corner.
Beautiful hotel, felt boutique and luxury at the same time. We stayed on ground floor, room 35. Best bed and mattress. Super comfy, spacious room, super clean, ritual amenities.
Pool area is indoor, warm temperature and small but nice. Breakfast is beautifully laid out and good range.
Location is 5mins walk to city centre through the shopping street. Parking available on hotel site,25€ for 24hrs or Intercity carpark which is 200m walk at 15€ 24hrs.
Staff exceptionally especially the you guy with big curly hair. Sorry didnt get his name
Location is perfect , room spacious, clean with closets, drawers, bathtub, walk-in shower, tissues, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, minibar, coffee machine and coffee refill, safe, desk…internet quality and speed excellent. Hotel architecture fabulous inside out, private, in the center of Bruges, has an underground parking, staff lovely, breakfast rich…and the price is cheap. I have to cite the details above as other hotels don’t provide them and they price the double. We had an exquisite stay!
The location of this hotel cannot be beat -- it is walkable to so many of the beautiful sights of Bruges! The hotel staff were amazing as well, offering us local tips and restaurant recommendations. We had a family room, which offered us one large queen bed, plus two single beds for our family of four (14 and 12 year old children). Also, on-site parking (for a fee) is available at the hotel -- a rarity in a hotel in the center of a European city!
A lovely hotel in a quiet setting, with a secluded garden and secure parking on site for a daily charge. It is also within a few minutes walk of the city centre. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent, with everything you could wish for. The room we had was very spacious, with a really comfortable bed made up with high quality bedding. Would definitely stay there again, if in Bruges.
A budget room close to the Bruges railway station, about a pleasant 1.5km walk to city centre. For a single person room big enough, clean with typical IBIS facilities. Parking for 5.50Euro outside the hotel, but free if you went to the end of the parking area to a vacant allotment alongside the hotels. (not sure about safety for car though). Plenty of food options around the station.
The location of the hotel is fabulous, only a short walk from the wonderful old town of Bruges and actually next door to the brand new conference center, so it's equally ideal for business and leisure.
Also, the hotel was obviously refurbished recently, so all the amenities are state-of-the-art, and the staff kept the place perfectly clean.
Hotel Ter Duinen is a lovely place, located on the canal, less than a ten minute walk from the city center. The room was well appointed (with a full-size bathtub!), very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfasts provided were delicious and generous, served in a bright and cheery dining area.
Marc and his wife were great hosts!
loved the location in the old town right next to the historic canals. in fact our room was on the canal with water just below our window. 3 min walk to the center of town. excellent breakfast room. very helpful staff although this is mostly a self service hotel. at least in the winter
The best aspect of this hotel was the breakfast. It was very good. The location was about ten minutes walk from the centre square of Bruges so not too bad but we would have preferred something closer. The ground floor reception, bar and breakfast area were nicely appointed.
Location was perfect, staff was very friendly, and our room could not have been nicer. It was the best sleep we had during our entire 10 day vacation. We’ve already recommended Hotel De Castillion to friends that are visiting Bruges. What an amazing experience!
The hotel location is perfect for accessing all the highlights of Bruges by foot. The room was very spacious, buzzing fridge was boring but easily dealt with! Breakfast was the best I have had in any hotel and service throughput was impeccable .
The location of the hotel was close to the city centre.
The person at the reception was decent and managed to give us a water bottle after our long travel. He also let us keep our luggage in the lobby after checkout.
Very stylish, quiet, and comfortable hotel that is a very short and pleasant walk from the center of Bruges. Excellent restaurant, very complete breakfast. I will definitely return.
- The hotel is located in one of most beautiful view of Bruges
- The breakfast was good and on the canal view
- All staff was kind with us and our requests
Hotel is close to City centre yet quite peaceful .
Best thing is in night you are owner of Bar and they trust you to write down things which you consumed.
