Charming classic hotel in an excellent lakeside position. The superior room had a lovely view and a small balcony. The restaurant was very good. Worth staying in. And we were lucky enough to get one of the few parks in the hotel parking space. Recommended

Pretty little town on the lake, with a couple of excellent restaurants nearby serving local cuisine mostly. Lots to see, lovely walks, hikes and drives. One glaring problem they need to address ASAP. Gmunden lacks a decent 4/5 star hotel. There are a couple which are adequate 3 stars.

Very nice city with a breathtaking view with a castle on the lake and high hills covered in clouds. The lake is crystal clear, so perfect for swimming, or sailing. There are ferrys that can take you to other parts of the lake. Just an absolutely gorgeous and clean city with very welcoming people. Many art galleries and all sorts of exhibitions. We also reccomend Hotel Zum Goldenen Hirschen in the city centre with a luxury design and very nice staff.

Amazing lake town, with a special sea-lake architecture. Small but charming and the locals are very friendly. The hotel is front line on the lake, it has a panorama view restaurant. The rooms are very big, nice and cosy, warm in winter. The breakfast was totally delicious, indeed it turned out that this hotel also has a cooking school. And the owners are absolutely wonderful. It is the best view of the lake and the location is very central. The flat is old style but very well kept, clean and spacious. Check in was very easy and quick and the owner gave us great tips on where to eat/what to do. If I go back to Gmunden I will definitely book this apartment again.
