The place is absolutely amazing, very clean. Stephen, Ngala and Joseph are the best. They made us feel like we were home away from home despite it being a business trip.
The seafood meal chef Ngala prepared was better than any 5star restaurant we've dined at.
The breakfast by the pool was great as well.

Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways.
Easy town to move around. Not that many pedestrian walkways. From my last visit(2023) there is an upgrade though.
Need for more coffee places.
The beach areas could be more cleaner.
For coffee and lovely delicious snacks,go to Malaika restaurant opposite the Buntwani Beach Front.
Walking is the healthiest way to move around Malindi, just don't give a visual contact with the boda boda taxis( you will ride unwillingly!)
Avoid the Tikka chicken with coloured(yellow) spicing.

The information on Booking.com about Malindi is an accurate representation of what I found on site. I visited the following places:
Galana Shopping Centre
Vasco da Gama Pillar
Portuguese Chapel
Malindi Marine National Park.
I occasionally ate out from a wide range of restaurants in the city centre. It was quite easy to move around Malindi and I currently have no experience of places to avoid while in Malindi.

Laid back lifestyle, great beaches, wonderful Italian pizzas. Vasco Da Gama pillar and Portuguese chapel are right there. Museums need updating. Not a huge amount to do in Malindi but if you want to get out and about, Hell's Kitchen in Marafa is worth visiting. It is a mini mini Grand Canyon. Karibuni villas in Mambrui is also nice - clearest sea water you ever saw.
Very calm and quiet place, the rooms are super clean and big, and the swimming pool is so nice and clear..not salty water. The breakfast was well done and done as per your request if you don't wanna wake up so early. Very friendly staff Said and Trevor. Picked us up from Malindi airport and waited for us to get some bites from the Naivas Supermarket, 2km away from the hotel.....to say at least it's a home away from home, especially for couples...Honeymoon! Value for money guaranteed...will be back soon!
Truly a little gem of a place tucked away in a little private spot about a 15 or 20 minute walk from the beach. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating and really I cannot recommend Lions enough. It is a fantastic place to spend a few days in Malindi. Has a nice pool and the food is incredible - especially the red snapper and meat dishes. The owners Andrea and Imelda and staff Corazon and Clarice are to be congratulated on a job very well done.
The location was really nice with access to the beach of Malindi (subject to tide)
The staff at the restaurant and at the reception was kind and helpful
Breakfast and main dishes were okay with good variety
The gala dinner on saturday evening was a good surprise
The room was clean and big
Diving centre staff
The facility was clean and serene. The staff was very friendly. It is not far from the beach. The swimming pool is a nice addition as well. The place is cleaned throughout the day, which is very, very nice. The air-conditioned rooms make sleeping more comfortable. Overall 8/10
The breakfast was excellent and is served from 8am. The pool, which is shared with other villas in the compound was very clean and enjoyable. Restaurants on the beach are a tuk-tuk ride away and have good Italian food and Kenyan food.
the staff was very welcoming and the included meals were delicious, especially the dinners. Very nice by the pool and the manager is helpful in planning and coordinating other activities. it’s very close to the beach and airport
The property was beautiful and located close to great restaurants. Their beachfront property was a favorite place for me to study for a very important exam I needed to prepare for, and my father enjoyed relaxing there!
Lydia is a very good host and also helped organize someone to help us move around Malindi.
The house looks exactly as the pictures, Very clean compound with a very clean pool and walking distance to the beach.
I liked the hospitality of the staffs, the facility is near town and also just beside the beach.
the view is very awesome. The place is serene and very refreshing.
its a place a will give people for referals
The place is very nice. With pools, trees, flowers, quiet because not in the center and directly at the beach.
A Tuk Tuk to the town center costed about 2 USD, so not a big deal.
Peace & quiet, environment & beach, beach guard @ night was very alert, resturant has a special pizza oven, lighting has improved at night, reception & resturant staff were caring
The house is very nice,it's the same look in the picture, walking distance to town and also to the beach, the house is very clean,am looking forward to visit again 💝💝💝
Peaceful, Quit, privacy 100% indoor games, clean pool, affordable cooking deals , clean kitchen and proximity to beach and town Centre, jovial staff and of course I like parrots.
Perfect location right at the beach with a pool that has an amazing view. The host was very accommodating and supportive. The rooms were clean and spacious.
We had a very nice staying at Kenyan House. The house is amazing and we felt like at home. Highly recommended. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
