We selected Breeze bay based on the reviews: and it did not disappoint. Although the building is not as modern or fancy as some others closer to the water, it was comfortable and provided all we could want. The facilities at the hotel are varied, and target guest relaxation: we especially enjoyed the private pool. The food in the restaurant was extremely tasty and well presented. The staff are the best feature of this hotel. From the greeting at the front door to the service in the restaurant, the staff are friendly and efficient. For overseas guests, this personal touch makes everything more comfortable. This might seem like a small thing, but the staff were putting up a Christmas tree as we arrived, and the simple pleasure they showed, made me feel very much at home. As a final comment We were very grateful to have a taxi deliver us to and from the JR train station.

Check out time was 10:00, but the master told me it was 11:00. I think it was because I had ridden my bicycle over 400 kilometers to arrive there, and he wanted to give me time to rest. I enjoyed the room he gave me and enjoyed watching videos until late.

Really beautiful place, the view is huge. Plan at least 1h for dinner and breakfast as there are so many things to try. The all you can drink is great with good wines ! Beds (western style) are very comfortable!

Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse can easily be reached from Matsushimakaigan Station. It is close to all the beautiful spots of Matsushima and still very cozy and quiet. The house is spacious, the beds very comfortable. The host is extremely kind and welcoming and speaks fluently English. He gave us very helpful advice and made us feel at home. A location at the sea with beautiful view. The hospitality is great, staff very friendly. A nice feature is that you get to choose your own yukata. One person in particular, had lived 16 years in Spain, helped is with his English skills and gave us great service. The room was pleasant, the futons comfortable. We had a private bath on the inner waranda. Dinner was exceptional, a real wow factor. Same for breakfast, amazing.

Amazing location - we walked short distances to everything. The property is huge and they have thought of everything - even gym and and warming blankets!

The view from the rooms is amazing. The best is the private Onsen with view to the bay, absolutely stunning. The staff is superattentive and they axplain everything in english. The atmosphere in the hotel is quiet and chilling. Brekkie is very good and varies fron day to day. Parkibg is in front of the hotel or 100m on a hotel parking
