We liked and enjoyed much the Underground River tour with very unique features. It's 1 and a half hour travel from downtown to Sabang Port. We tried also the exotic food, the "Tamilok", eaten raw dipped in vinegar. It tastes like oyster.
We also availed of the half day city tour. It's also an educational tour learning the historical background of the City.
We Bona's Changlao, serving Vietnamese food.
We had dinner at Kinabuchs Grill and Bar which accepts debit or card payment.
We also tried Gelateria ice cream in Bekiko. Also an Italian restobar and coffee shop.
Palawan is producer of cashew. You can buy cashew. Nuts in supermarkets and souvenir shops.
Mode of transportation in downtown area tricycle and jeepney. For long distance trip, van or car for rent are available.
I was not able other tourist destinations in the city had very short stay in the city.

We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan.
We spent 3 months visiting around Palawan. Started in El Nido then went to Port Barton, then to Sabang, then to Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princesa is the main town for everything (like hospitals and banks and malls). Good foods in El Nido and plenty of island hopping adventures but also quite expensive and touristy (ie. taking advantage of the foreigners). Each place had some interesting adventures. I would say that we overstayed at each place except Sabang where we only stayed 2 nights.

I felt slightly unsafe as a female traveler here, there were not many likeminded travelers around me, it felt very congested and the locals here could not communicate easily with me as an english speaker. I didnt find people to be very friendly here. The beaches/bays here were not very beautiful and there were not many attractions or places to eat good food. Don't recommend staying here as a western traveler if you have the choice of going straight to Port Barton or El Nido (both of which are INCREDIBLE) :)

Nice town to stay and visit the underground river and some nice beaches in the area. There are some good restaurants and some good sea food restaurants. On our last we eat in Kalui Seafood restaurant, a real treat!

Like other cities in the PHL, Puerto Princesa has changed a lot over the past 30 years. More people, more vehicles, more shops, more resorts. One thing that has not changed YET is the respectfulness and courteousness of the local folks.
The highlight of Coron is its many options on island hopping tours.
The highlight of Busuanga is the Calauit Island -- a mini-Kenyan or Tanzanian Safari. The giraffe feeding event in Calauit is more enjoyable than in any giraffe safari in the world due to the sheer number of giraffe that goes to the feeding area.
The highlight of El Nido is its lovely high end resort and the twin lakes tour.
The highlight of Puerto Princesa is the Underground Cave.
San Vicente is now being developed as another option. Its beach is very long so this looks promising.
Having experienced the Palawan highlights, I am content with the peace and quiet at the Dolce Vita Hotel. Important for me is Dolce Vita's clean and deep swimming pool.

We stayed at the Astoria.
We stayed at the Astoria. The one thing that surprised me was they didn't take me ATM cards. I did have credit cards available and my traveling companion was local so I was able to work around it. The bed was a little firm, other than that, the room was perfect. They said the room didn't have a view, but the place is so pretty, the view of the grounds was still magnificent. Especially with the ocean peaking around the next building. The nightly show at dinner was great and the staff was sooooooo nice. We arranged a few tours and saw things like Port Barton and the Underground River. The island is beautiful and I would definitely go back.

I had left luggage here on my Balabac trip. They were kind and accompany me while waiting for my van transport for both Balabac and El Nido.
They do arrange van transfer and had laundry service which is quite convenient.
I had move to a bigger room with better space compare to the first day. The room ac is works pretty well to combat the summer heat.
I had good sleep here and definitely recommended transient place if you do layover in Puerto Princesa for another destination in Palawan.
This is the best hotel stay we have experienced in the whole of Palawan with this range of price.
The owner/manager is very flexible and accommodating.
Allowed us for the early check in around 11am.
Good location, 20 minutes walking distance from the public market or baywalk.
Rooms are very clean and well facilities, and super cook aircon.
Provided us the breakfast with the time we want in the morning before going to the airport.
I spent 17 days at the Hotel Puerto Pension. I felt at home. The staff, whether at breakfast (thanks Marko and team) or at reception (thanks Christine and team) always looked after me very well, always helpful with information about trips on Palawan or other questions (good tips). I will definitely visit the beautiful island again and spend my next vacation with the friendly staff at Puerto Pension. Thank you all very much.
The inn is located near by airport. If you fly to puerto Princesa airport do not take taxi/tricycle. There is free shuttle to SM shopping mall. Then take a walk to your hotel. Anyway, the Mariafe inn is a nice place to stay. I would recommend. The staff is very helpful. The owner of the inn is always around to help you. Breakfast is ok. And water pressure is ok too. They have nice garden. Thank you.
Hibiscus is an oasis with lovely facilities, pool, garden, hammocks, great food, air conditioning, water provided and great staff. Much better option than a soulless chain hotel.
Laurent the Manager generously helped us with suggestions of roads, beaches, sites, and various accommodations for our 17 day motorbike trip around Palawan. We loved it and would definitely return to Hibiscus.
This one 5 starts hotel near Puerto Princesa. But I am not sure that we can call it 5 start hotel in our regular understanding.
But let me start with the advantages :
* big layout with a lot of activities : fire show in the evening, there is a small water park, good restaurant, there are much space to walk.
* friendly staff
* nice reception zone and beautiful territory
Room was very big, with a separate living area. The hotel has a nice garden and once the swimming pool is completed it will be amazing. Staff is very nice. Internet was strong but it goes off when there is a power cut (which is common in Puerto Princesa) and the hotel does not have a generator. I would say it is a great value for money place.
I enjoyed the hotel. The staff were very warm and pleasing. They tend to us right away in case we needed help or assistance. We enjoyed the view, pool and food of the hotel. The price is very reasonable for this hotel! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Puerto Princesa. Thank you very much!
Very close to the airport for a convenient first night in Puerto Princesa. There are many stores close by for convenience. Most of all it was extremely clean and well kept with nice showers with hot water, even the balcony was pretty spotless. The staff are also very friendly and super helpful.
The room was reasonably sized and that was about it. The hotel location is next to the market and if you're game to buy anything in the market, then the location is a bonus. We had to leave for the Puerto Princesa Underground rvier at 6:30am and the hotel organised packed breakfast to take-out.
The hotel and staff were wonderful! We enjoyed the in-house restaurant and the location was very close to a mall. My expectations were succeeded and I would definitely stay here again if I travel back to Puerto Princesa!
Friendly staff.
Strong wifi
Close to the Ferry, the church and Plaza Cuartel
They helped with airport/hotel transfers.
Offered suggestions for the best restaurants in Puerto Princesa.
The staff is very friendly, and the rental bikes provided by them are in a very decent condition, and in a reasonable price! Definitely the best choice to stay in Puerto Princesa!
The staff were super nice and welcoming, and they were also very helpful with booking our tours around Puerto Princesa. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was good.
A nice place to stay for just 1 night with a great shower. Especially if you have to fly out the next day. Hotel offers airport shuttle. It's down town Puerto Princesa.
Perfect stopping point between destinations for myself. Also had time to wonder round puerto princesa with the bay view within walking distance from the hotel.
We are group of 8 and we enjoyed this close to nature calm resort. Definitely worth staying after hyper activities in Palawan. This is near airport too.
