Leafy town on the southern slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The town itself does not have a real center, just a tacky sculpture of Mt. Kilimanjaro in the center of a roundabout. However, if you stay a little bit outside of town then you can enjoy the unique location.

There is a lot of really nice restaurants(indointaliano is one of the best) and the view of Kilimanjaro is amazing. Moshi is the best place to find a company which will take you to the summit of Kilimanjaro. You can also do day trips from Moshi to Materuni waterfalls or Kikuletwa Hot Springs.

There is absolutely nothing to do in Moshi and is only good if you do a tour or two and hike Kilimanjaro. When you are done with those, get out! The do have a Regional Immigration Office that will extend your visa for 30 days if you need it.

Lots of laundry (clothes, shoes and even my backpack), all taking care in a few hours. Gabriel the owner, together with Patricia and the team are all very friendly. Probably the best place I have stayed since the beginning of my trip in Africa 6 weeks ago. If you are unlucky to find the place fully booked, come at least for a drink in the garden and a meal, for sure the best in town !

They will also assist you with organizing all sorts of day trips. The water in the shower was cold and they did not have a generator while we were there - yet. They were organising one while we were there, but during our stay the power cuts in the city affected us in the hotel too (no possibility to charge our phones..)
