I didn't stay in Wisbech too long as I was travelling through. But what I did see was a a town centre with lots of boarded up shops and on the outskirts a new out of town development with supermarkets, cinema, Costa Coffee, B & Q etc which is killing the town centre. This is a problem affecting most city centres in the UK

All photo looks so great, that we decide to visit.
All photo looks so great, that we decide to visit. We found free car parking next to church. Then we went to see area. When we went through little park next to church, we start worried.
We pass group of young people drinking beer, then teenagers around 13-14 years smoking weed, then older people already drunk.
And another group of drunk people. We run back to car as we start be scary of safety, and it wasn't pleasure to enjoy any view.
I think town council really need to look into that as could be nice tourist spot.

Wisbeach during the day is lovely.
Wisbeach during the day is lovely. Plenty of shops and history and the river is lovely. Loads of free parking was great however the evenings felt very different and after the first night I didn't venture into the main part of town in the evening again. Gangs of men hanging around every cash machine and drinking in the parks and cemeteries. It felt very unsafe to walk through even though I wasn't alone.

It is a lovely small town with plenty of places to eat. I just grabbed a coffee as was too full from breakfast. I am in a wheelchair and was pushing myself. Just one little hill to Boots which someone helped me with. The only down side is that taxis are a bit pricey on a Sunday as they have a higher rate

The traffic was a nightmare, all the time we were there was continual queues and road works.
We will not be rushing back to wisbech.
We were glad it was a very short planned trip, we hated the place.
Location was very peaceful, and the home was very nice. Lovely being able to open double doors and enjoy the quiet. Easy to find and good place to explore area. Far enough from Wisbech town centre to feel like absolute countryside living, but close enough to get supplies. Car essential. Instructions to get to location and get key were easy to follow and host had great communication. TV channels were all good and plentiful for evening entertainment.
The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was a good addition. The hotel itself had so much character and the staff were very friendly and helpful which made us both feel very comfortable. Despite being an old hotel, the facilities were still functional, and its location being so central was convenient too.
Spacious room with comfy beds bath is great, rooms itself is very modern better looking then majority of the areas hotels is slightly more on the expensive side per night but was close to what I needed. Breakfast was lovely and quick which was included in the price as you have to travel everywhere else by car
This hotel is located in a quiet village, easily accessible by car.
The breakfast was cooked to order, and was great.
The rooms in the new building were spacious and well equipped.
There was a good choice of menu in the restaurant for our evening meals.
The host was very nice, made to feel very welcome.
The room was great, very clean and well kept.
The breakfast was amazing, the range of food and drinks where great.
I'm already looking at booking again for my next visit to Wisbech.
Highly recommend.
The quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was very well soundproofed, so the noise from the road did not bother me. The room was clean and modern. Thank you.
Liked everything about Labbadax House.. so different from our usual hotel accommodation.. Glenda & Lee our wonderful hosts to their scrumptious breakfasts ..
