It’s a lovely old building, scheduled as a national treasure. The location is good. The receptionist was very helpful. There was lots of space in our junior suite which was more like a maisonette than a room, with kitchen/living room and upstairs bedroom and toilet. So there shouldn’t be much to dislike.

Tartu is the second biggest city in Estonia, it has lots of places to visit, like museums, science centre, shopping centres, theatre, there are lots of walking to do, there are great local transport links in Tartu, there are plenty of hotels,B&Bs, plus apartments to stay in, most of the big shopping centres are in the city centre, there is also a free bus that takes you to one of the biggest shopping centres in Estonia, just on the outside of Tartu, that shopping centre is very big, and takes about two hours to walk round, it has a lot of different store, restaurants, etc there.
The local buses are also great to use,buy a tartu bus card, tap and go, or, buy tickets at Tartu bus Station, there are local buses, and city buses, there are lots of them, make sure to get a map, as it is a little difficult to know where to go/get off, if you do not know the area.
By the river, across the foot bridge from the city centre behind the market, you will find a nice beach area for summer, it is lovely there, and sandy, plus changing areas for everyone.

Fell in love with Tartu!
Fell in love with Tartu! An absolutely amazing city with a wide range of museums and activities, cosy and variable dining places, perfect for strolling and cycling around... So much to discover! I will surely return!
Try out the city museums, observation tower, printing history museums, science center, spa center, public transportation is easy to use and takes you all around town with an ease. Yet, one can also rent city bikes to move around 😀

Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at.
Tartu is a beautiful student city to stay at. With the river running right through it it has everything you can wish for. It is busy enough to get whatever you want, but also to feel almost alone enjoying the lights around the river lights during the evening.
Also a lot of nature in a short drive away.
Lovely facilities with views over busy road but not noisy. Very central for bus station 5-10 min walk, and similar to the old town. Train station 20-30 min walk away.
Great breakfast at associated restaurant on first floor. Best breakfast coffee from a machine in travels in Estonia. Fresh and cooked fruit to go with porridge. Good selection of hot and cold food. Even pasta pre Tartu Marathon.
Can select to have a kettle, so able to make drinks as needed. Also can select if room cleaned rather than daily input.
Stay at hotel was pleasant and comfortable. Hotel staff thought about everything. We stayed as family of 2+3kids and rooms was prepared for us perfectly clean and neat with toiletries for kids. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. They were also partnering with nearby parking lot by validating parking ticket. And a small thoughtful things like mailbox for room keys. We most likely be visiting this hotel again. Especially considering that its location is in middle of Tartu.
Best place to stay in Tartu, standard of the hotel is really high: very professional staff - you feel welcome the moment you step into the lobby, beautiful decor and quality of furnishing, food at breakfast is top notch, location spot on in the middle of the center literally meters from restaurants and shops, rooms feel so comfy you never want to leave etc.
Nice location in a very unique, beautiful and calm district of Tartu, only 15 minutes on foot from the city center (where I studied for 2 weeks). The flat is pretty and comfortable, self check-in and check-out were efficient. Good Wi-Fi. The price is really fair (about 34 € per night), so I would definitely come again.
The location near to university library was excellent for a study trip. The apartment was cute and cozy. There was possible to make some tea/instant coffee. Wood-heated oven and good-night-view to observatorium and Estonian flag gave good vibes.
Everything was perfect! Deserves the highest rating. Host was friendly and shared great recommendations for exploring the wonderful city of Tartu! The apartment has everything you would want for your vacation. Tastefully decorated.
I really enjoyed the price in comparison with what you received. And the staff was very friendly, which is highly unusual in Estonia. I have stayed at far more expensive hotels in Estonia, without receiving as much as a nod.
Perfect location in the centre of Tartu with its own parking place. The room is almost luxurious, especially when you consider the price. We didn’t meet the owners, but they communicate quickly. Totally pet friendly.
Fabulous location in the Tartu inner city. Beautiful views from the windows on both sites of the building: either on Toome hill or Barclay park. Breakfast was modest but still pleasant and with local Estonian charm.
Very comfortable and clean room, you also get to use the amenities of the Hotel adjacent to it so you can do a nice morning smoke sauna and jacuzzi to then go and have some breakfast from the buffet.
20 minute walk from the centre on the northern side of the river in Tartu or catch bus 4. A pleasant walk to the Estonian National Museum. Free parking and a decent breakfast. Grear value!
i like that everywhere it is something written in estonian. so i could learn a bit of this language :)
