This is a place to go when you need to rest and rejuvenate. The resort is serene. The low number (10) of chalets at the resort make is very private and the service is great. The staff is ready and excited to help. The food is good.
The thicket make the chalets almost hidden from each other. There is no noise at then resort so you can hear the ocean waves 24/7. The view to the ocean is beautiful. The stairway from the beach to the chalets and everything in between helps with some physical exercise 😁 though its painful 😣.

The location is exceptional, walking distance from the village and the "harbour", the staff (Enrico) is very helpful and super client oriented. Breakfast is excellent. The single formula for the dinner is perfect, efficient, as it is an island (every grocery is imported from Maputo) and a guarantee of freshness.

Santa Maria is a beautiful location and very safe. Although you have beautiful lodges in the area there is no convenience store to buy any essentials. Take as much food (and luxury items) as you can. The tides must be considered in planning your day trips.
Also remember basic medications - no pharmacies.
Bring cash - no ATM in and around Santa Maria.
