Location in the centre of the old town is perfect but difficult to reach by car. The room was large and was in perfect harmony with the palace housing the parador.

Quality of the room and excellent bathroom. Very clean and 5 minutes walk from the centre of the city where we explored the tapas bars. Had motorcycle parking in secure garage but only for 1 bike. ( check with hotel if needed). Cooked breakfast with scrambled eggs and bacon was good.

Good to visit for an overnight stay. Easily see the attractive old buildings and shopping district in one day. Seems to be poor for restaurants /tapas bars but maybe those closed when I visited opened at other times.

This is a beautiful city with plenty of lovely buildings to see. It is pleasant to walk along the banks of the Duero. The tapas Bars are wonderful. Brilliant, innovative tapas which are great value accompanied with the local red wine.

Still a bit of a hidden gem.
Still a bit of a hidden gem. The historic city is beautiful and old. The view over the river and land is amazing. It's a provincial Castillian town, very authentically Spanish. Very easy to get around on foot. The food is excellent and affordable. Calle de los Herreros is where you find great bars with tasty dishes.

Well worth a visit for a few days.
Well worth a visit for a few days. We only stayed one night which wasn't really long enough. Two or three nights would have been better.
There are lots of historic buildings in Zamora, the Cathedral and castle on top of the hill probably being the most notable buildings with great views.
Lot of local restaurants and bars. Fantastic local wines.

For me, Zamora was the first Spanish city I had visited that was not overrun by foreign tourists. In fact in the two daysI was there I only heard about a half a dozen people speaking anything but Spanish. It has a treasure trove of Romanesque architecture and also of early twentieth century architecture, lovingly preserved and maintained, not for the purpose of harvesting visitors' euros, but because the community deems it worthwhile. One of my best memories of my visit was being able to wander through the narrow, twisting streets of the old city from open square to square in the company of only a handful of local people. It was indeed the first time in five visits to Spain that I felt I was visiting an unadulterated Spanish city.

We visited in November… Spain is cold and wet at this time so the town seems of course wintery. We walked to old town … it would be spectacular in good weather. It would be a good summer place to visit.
Centrally located in Zamora yet with a lovely spacious feeling, this parador fully met our expectations. The interior was traditional and beautifully thought out - we really liked the sofas and chairs in the wide corridor spaces for relaxation outside the rooms. The pool, though cold on a stormy September day, was wonderful with views across the valley. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good buffet breakfast.
The hotel was easily reached, the reception was very warm and friendly, the room was quieter, cleaner and more comfortable than I had expected for the price, and the location was outstanding. The place was also very clean and well maintained. Zamora is a beautiful little city and Hostal La Reina just perfect from which to see the sights!
great hotel in a fabulous location, all staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. gluten-free options for breakfast were first class and we were very grateful that all the staff spoke English as our Spanish is non-existent. would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again xx
Very modern and tastefully decorated. Everything felt new. It was also very clean. Wifi was also stable. Nothing really to complain about. Bonus is that all the restaurants are nearby. The historical city center doesn't have much, this hotel is in the real center.
Great central location (though parking was a little difficult). Comfortable hotel, pleasant rooms, helpful staff. Really excellent buffet breakfast, the best we had on our trip through Spain.
We had a very late arrival (unexpectedly re: car issue) The host was kind, receptive and so helpful. The flat was exceptional. Clean and spacious. Rooms were quiet and comfortably.
spacious, comfortable rooms. very nice bathrooms,
a bit dated but very functional. wonderful pool. very well situated in the t
