A unique combination of the beautiful Turkish sea and unparalleled food options. For a town with a resident population of about 3,000 it has over 350 restaurants and bars, with many reaching a very high standard of cuisine. The roof terrace restaurants are superb and a repeatable experience.The beach club options cater for all tastes. Kalkan is a beautiful place but having been a few times I wont rush to go back. Nothing to do with the wonderful setting but more to do with the ridiculous noise coming from a few of the bars at night. Don't get me wrong if you are young and into bars where you need sign language to talk this could be the place for you. But later at night I like to chill but no matter where you went in town all you could hear was the noise battle between 2 bars cranked to volume 11 which drowned every bar near by. We have been to the Mediterran Hotel three times now, so clearly we love it and would recommend it to anyone. Generally, I would say it’s a couples and groups hotel, not much for kids. It’s a fair way out of the main town which is nice, but for a couple of quid you can get a taxi into the centre or the port. The taxis are plentiful and you never have to wait more than a few minutes for one. The people are all very friendly and not too pushy when trying to get you to enter their restaurants. There are plenty of shops, where you can buy amazing fake clothing, most of which is of a reasonable quality, excellent, if you take into account you can by labelled trainers for £15-20! There are plenty of food and grocery shops if you are self-catering. In addition to having stayed at the Mediteran we have rent villas in Kalkan for family holidays. There is also a good market with food and clothing. Kalkan has provided us with many great holidays.PaulUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10
Kalkan was was a really nice resort.
Kalkan was was a really nice resort. Plenty to do but not too busy. There were plenty of great places to eat and the old town with its narrow cobbled streets were lovely to walk around. A visit to Seaport restaurant is a must, great food, great staff and great location.

Our balcony had sea view, which offered beautiful sights of Kalamar bay. The area ia peaceful, not so steep immediate surroundings compared to the rest of Kalkan. The hotel offers privacy, but also some shared areas like the pool. There's parking place in front of the hotel. Great breakfast, excellent cleaning service daily. The hotel is very accessible to Kalkan town center with a nice pool and bar area of which Mehmet and Ishmael were very attentive. A good choice of restaurants close by and we recommend The Kitchen and our favorite Aure by the town beach. Mehmet’s homemade gins were lovely and well worth a stop by whether you’re staying there or not.

A beautiful and tastefully restored Ottoman house, we loved staying here. The roof terrace was wonderful for a drink at sunset and for breakfast which was delicious. The home made jams and Turkish breakfast was excellent. What was particularly memorable for us was meeting Selma. She could not have been more friendly and helpful; was fascinating to chat to about Turkey plus was around all day and evening.

The staff stayed in contact during the whole stay, helped with the transfer to the hotel from Antalya, taxi to Patara and Kaputar beach and any requests. The hotel is absolutely new and cozy. Delicious breakfast. It will take you approximately 20 minutes walk to Kalkan beach and 10 minutes to the Kalamar Beach Club.
