We had a small problem with the bedlight and allso asked for an extra cover and this was fixed within minutes. We were also upgraded to a better room. We had booked economy for just one night - but due to some available rooms in the category above we got one with a balcony with seaview.
Now that's customer service :-)

Nice room, a little small, but comfortable. Breakfast was very continental but then the guests seem to be mainly from Germany so I can't complain. The food was OK, but then there are so many nice restaurants around it is hard to complete. The staff were all very friendly and the bar on the hotel beach was excellent.
Situated on the pebbled beach of Ferma, Kakkos Bay offers air-conditioned rooms with views of the Libyan Sea. It has a swimming pool and a restaurant, and it is surrounded by the lush gardens.

The staff were wonderful and did all they could to improve our stay at this overpriced, below average resort. The beach is also very nice and we liked that there were always sun beds available.
We were here to celebrate our honeymoon so were upgraded from a double room to a bungalow and were able to eat at the slightly nicer 5* buffet restaurant. Even here though, most food was only passable with only a few decent options. The local tavernas (within driving distance) served far superior food for a fraction of the cost. Sadly, despite the upgrades, which we were very grateful for, we wouldn’t return and would not recommend this place.

Superbly located in the centre of Lerapetra and a short walk to the beach, Cretan Villa is your ideal base to explore the area. The host is convivial, helpful and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed comfy. Plenty of places nearby for breakfast and to sample Cretan and international cuisine. 5 stars.

It’s a small town that has the most amazing beaches. Has loads of tavernas to try different food every night. I love the fact it’s full of Greeks and not too many tourists for a more genuine experience

Lerapetra is not one of the main tourist destinations on Crete but well worth a visit.
There are more than enough restaurants and bars along the seafront, with a nice compact centre of town.
Only thing to note is that with the closure of Chrissi Island, there are effectively no tourist trips from Lerapetra. For this you would need to travel to the north side of the island.

The town is awful!
The town is awful!
Almost all the restaurants and cafeterias were closed.
We were looking for a park for our son to play and we only found one in the whole town. It was dirty, smelly and full of kids so my child could not play there.
Never coming back again!

Ierapetra -as a city- is not very beatiful, although the beach/port route is quite good.
However, it is the perfect place for visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including "Kakkos", "Psaropoula", "Agia Fotia", "Achlia", "Psari Forada" and others - since it is located in front of the Libyan Sea. You can also visit "Chryssi" - an worldwide known exotic island just near by, and at the same time you have access to extremely high quality (and low cost) food.

We stayed in Ierapetra for just 24 hours. We found that city was much developed, in a good meaning. Dedicated streets for pedestrians and bikes, updated sea walk area. Please visit "Casablanca" all day cafe-restaurant, with very good coffee (Fredo) and very tasty international and local dishes.

Authentic Greek town with really nice, friendly atmosphere where you can live and feel yourself a part of it.
Great eating out options, pastries, amazing shopping and welcoming, pleasant Greek people!
We had the best stay at Elpida’s house!!
It is perfect for a calm and authentic experience in a traditional cretan village. The house is really beautiful, clean and spacious as in the pictures.
The welcome treat with wine and fruits was lovely and the communication with Irini was very good, she was always very helpful!
The location is great to visit Ag. Nicolaos, Sitia and Ierapetra. In summer you can access beautiful beaches easily!
We highly recommend it, we would definitely come back!!! 😊
This hotel is located high in the hills overlooking Ierapetra and represents decent value. It has a good pool and well kept gardens. The breakfast was adequate but did not seem to be replenished as often as it should. The room was good with views over the sea and the plain. The sunsets over the mountains on the other side of the plain , were great. Clean and well maintained, this is a good hotel, but you may need a car to enjoy the local area.
Very nice family owned property, with a beautiful garden. It is a small apartment perfect for 4, with a master bed and 2 beds for kifs, and a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom was very nice. We also had barbecue one evening with the help of the owner who was very kind and prepared everything for us.
He also gave us fruits and the traditional welcoming raki. Very close to Ierapetra, the location was amazing, definitely worth it.
We loved our stay at Santanna beach. From the minute you get there you are greeted by the friendliest staff imaginable. The incredibly people working at this hotel made our stay unforgettable. Aside from that, the hotel is gorgeous, the rooms, views and meals offered are all incredible. I will definitely recommend staying here and will be coming back in the future
Nice room, a little small, but comfortable. Breakfast was very continental but then the guests seem to be mainly from Germany so I can't complain. The food was OK, but then there are so many nice restaurants around it is hard to complete. The staff were all very friendly and the bar on the hotel beach was excellent.
One of the highlights was breakfast, everything was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. My room had two single beds, for me and my brother. The WIFI was fast and the cleaner kept us cleaned everyday! We felt safe, hand gel dispensers all over the hotel, face masks for staff in communal areas.
Nice hotel. Rooms are nice, with sea view of the Ierapetra bay. The beach of the hotel is also nice and great for swimming. Service at the restaurants, shops and reception was excellent and nice. The food was one of the best we had as compared to other all-inclusive hotels we have been.
Everything. Nothing not to like. Great location close beach, tavernas and shops in a great historic neighbourhood. Breakfast served on front patio in close proximity to the square, which was great for people-watching. The online pics do not do this gem of a boutique hotel justice!
Our stay at Katerina Hotel in Ierapetra was fantastic! The room was spotless and had everything we needed. The stunning sea view was the cherry on top, and Katerina's warm welcome made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a wonderful getaway experience.
The hotel is located at a very central point of Ierapetra. The staff were cordial and right upon our arrival at our disposal. They also gave us very insightful information about excursion and dining options in the surrounding area.
They had gated parking which is amazing in greece! The hotel was modern and the room was very nice. The bed was super soft! The breakfast had a large array of foods - hot and cold. We really liked our stay here!
Breakfast was superb. Location right on the sea is good. The hotel is very comfortable. There is a beach immediately in front of the hotel but we did not use it - there are other beaches nearby which looked fine.
This comfy aparthotel is in the heart of Ierapetra. The waterfront balcony was just perfect. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. A real value for money option for a comfortable stay. Would recommend.
The hotel is right in the beach, the sea was incredible, very clean water.
The food in the restaurant is very delicious, full of different types of dishes and deserts.
