Stefanos is a beautiful medium sized modern hotel complex, built in greek style up on the slopes overlooking Plakias Bay, with great views but quit location. Spacious apartment with all what is needed, including seaview, spacious balcony (with private hot spa), very friendly staff, good breakfast buffet and also nice infinity pool (for which it was too cold and windy during our stay, but is awesome).
Porto Plakias is just 100 metres away from the long sandy beach of Plakias. It offers a pool with poolside bar, seafront restaurant and a rooftop terrace with bar. WIFi is offered in public areas.

Extraordinary hosts! The whole atmosphere at Amente is very relaxed and chill. The design of the whole place was done in a very thoughtful and deliberate way with great attention to detail. But what really did set the stay apart from others was the hosts generous hospitality we were able to enjoy. We felt like home within minutes and your proposals to explore the area were spot on Irini! Thanks again!

Being at Crete for the ninth time I must say that I loved the hotel and everything in it. Although there was construction from the next hotel, on the moment I complained , we were given a better room in a quieter side. We really appreciated it and we are sure that as soon the construction will be completed it will be the best place on the south of Crete to reside. Close to the beach and all the great restaurants. Everywhere we went people were so friendly. We thank KYMANI for helping the experience be the best.

Of course Plakias has a nice beach, good walking around; but it has been overdeveloped these last 30y, and looks set to continue.

Take a side trip to visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge. There is a trail in the gorge, but we didn't have time for that. So we stopped along the road above and followed the path passed the Church of Saint Nicholas down to a beautiful view of the waterfall.

Quiet place in November, but sea temperature was super nice. Supermarkets are open, as well as some restaurants. There was a lot of construction going on. Many tavernas close to attractions are closed, so take plenty of snacks.

Plakias is a good place to have a rest moving from Imbras Gorge to Kourtaliotiko gorge, city is small and quite. Beaches in city itself not seems are extraordinary, they have many rocks, but on the left end is there a nudist beach

Plakias is a smallish town and very laid back and relaxing.
Plakias is a smallish town and very laid back and relaxing. As we were half board we didn't try many of the bars/restaurants on offer. We were going to go on a boat trip but one of our daughters was ill so we had to abandon that idea. My other daughter and I did visit Kourtaliotiko Gorge and waterfall which was amazing and we made it to Souda beach on the last day which had lovely clear water. We had a car so we could travel around. I personally think that is an essential if you want to explore the area as it takes a while to drive anywhere as the roads are quite small and bendy!
George the owner was extremely friendly and helpful and welcomed us when we arrived. George explained us how to operate the different facilities and provided us with nice refreshments. Pantelis the contact person for the reservation was helpful, gentle and kind. Both are extremely helpful and friendly.
We stayed in villa Toulipa. Increteblue is a complex of several accommodations some offering pools and some offering Jacuzzi's. The location is very good, close to the beach and all the stores but relatively quiet and peaceful.
The villa has high quality finishing, furniture and decoration, it feels luxury and provides everything you need. Owners were around and super helpful, while also very discrete.
We were 4 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in villa no 3 with 3 bedrooms and it was perfect size for us. The bedrooms upstairs with ensuite bathrooms are stunning.
Change of towels and extra towels for pool was also a big plus.
Location is a bit uphill when coming from the beach and has partial sea view (from balcony on upper floor)
The Villa Alea is situated very central in Plakiás and you can easily walk to everything in the town. The host Xaroúla is the most kind and helpsome host you can find, and if you need anything you just have to ask. We have been to Plakiás many, many times and stayed at different accommodations around the town but this is the best in all Crete and we will be back another time
The best apartment on Crete we have been to. Fantastic view on Plakias, with super terrasse ideal for breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just to sit, look and feel atmosfere of south Crete.
Brand new apartment, modern, very clean, comfortable and last but not least I have to mention fantastic service of management team and especially the approach of Argie.
Excellent little family hotel. Clean, comfortable, great location - just across a sandy beach at a quiet part of Plakias, but only 10 minutes walk from the town center. Great taverna on premises, and a nice bar at the beach. Very friendly stuff and management. Highly recommended!
The Sofia Hotel was beautiful and a unique experience. The hotel offered tranquility, good food with a fantastically beautiful location (Plakias). We were also very welcomed by a top host (Vagelis) and other staff (family) of the hotel. Definitely highly recommended!
Fantastic clean apartment, was a 5* apartment, attention to very detail was fantastic.Very good Cretan breakfast was freshly cooked created with flair and knowledge and different every day.
Friendly staff and fabulous pool and best place we have stayed on Crete.
Chara went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and unforgettable. Breakfast was amazing, rooms were good size and extremely clean and bedsheets smelled amazing. The views were great and Plakias is a very short walk. Can't wait to go back
It was amazing experience to stay at Plakias Bay Hotel. People are very kind, rooms are clean, cozy and authentic, food is tasty and atmosphere is fantastic. The hotel has nice view and beach just may be 10-20 metres from it. Thank you!
The location is great. The host is very friendly and helpful. She helped me to answer all my questions about Plakias and Crete. This was my 2nd time stay in this place and definitely I will come back to this place again.
Great apartment with a great location. THe apartment is set on the hillside still an easy walk to the beach and town but it also means that the large terrace has some truly great views of the bay and the mountains.
Very close to the beach and to amenities like supermarkets and bars. Strategic location to visit lots of interesting beaches in the south of Crete. Comfortable bed. Convenient parking. Very sweet owner.
Everything were exceptional, one of the best accommodation I ever been in Greece. Perfect service, location, staff.. Meal was truly amazing as I overweighted here :-).
