Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.
Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.
In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.
More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.
We reserved the home 4 months in advance and it was...
We reserved the home 4 months in advance and it was confirmed. About a week before our reservation, I started trying to reach the owner for check-in instructions. Messages sent. Texts sent. No response. The night before our reservation, I called and female answered stating someone else was already in the home but she would look into it and call me back immediately. I never received a return call. So the day of our reservation (when we booked 4 months in advance) we were left with no lodging and were forced to pay triple for a last minute hotel in the area. I DO NOT recommend this rental or owner.

I LOVE Atlanta, Southern Hospitality is SO real.
I LOVE Atlanta, Southern Hospitality is SO real. The people we met were so friendly and helpful.
There's so much to do in the city that we didn't get to do everything on our list. But the great thing is - it means we have a reason to come back and visit again.
Getting around was super easy with Uber, initially, we were thinking of getting a rental car but so glad we didn't. Catching Ubers without having to worry about parking was such a relief.
Food in ATL, man... SO many great spots. My favorite food spot was FOX BROTHERS BBQ, the Brisket was Chefs Kiss, so tender, juicy & fatty. SO good!. We also loved Hattie B's, NFA Burger & Popeyes as well.

Atlanta is a very fun city with a lot of places to explore. I was only there for a short period of time, so I only got to see a few places, but I definitely look forward to coming back. Just allow extra travel time, traffic can be a nightmare.

I love Atlanta.
I love Atlanta. But because of Booking’s poor protections for its customers and “property owner’s” decisions being final—she was able to lie us out of the unit as the other couple literally had nowhere to sleep. We spent almost seven hours finding other accommodations.

Please make sure you check the ratings. My room was horrible. No towels and the bathroom shower was aweful. I was forced to spend the night and it was the only hotel that wasn't booked near the airport. Neve again.

Heavy Traffic, lot of places to explore.
Heavy Traffic, lot of places to explore. Need time, specially due to Traffic. Getting around Atlanta due to packed Traffic is tough.
World of coca cola is a one time visit place.
Georgia aquarium is very informative place to visit, consider taking 2-3 hours to explore.
From the first date I arrived, I liked the location because it was a convenient location to all of the places I was interested in. It was close to the mall, the airport, and downtown Atlanta. Buckhead was about 9 minutes. Inside, the room was as clean as possible, and everything needed was inside. The lady at the front desk was professional, and checking was smooth with no hassle. Once inside and I came out, I went around to check the location, and it was peaceful, a place where you would want to stay longer.
The hotel is conveniently located, like a 10 minute ride by Uber/ Lyft from the Atlanta Airport.
The room is very cozy and the bed is superb. I had a great sleep after a long red eye flight.
Breakfast is good, with enough choices and included. Also, they were nice to store my luggage after checkout as I wanted to use the day to explore town.
Last but not least, the hotel offers an airport shuttle to the hotel for free!
The hotel has a very nice lobby/lounge area as you walk in. The location is conveniently located near several attractions in the downtown Atlanta area, including State Farm Arena, the giant Ferris wheel, and the Aquarium. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic, very funny, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast is very good. We’ll book another stay there soon!
Nothing. Due to storms I was stuck in Atlanta. I tried to book a hotel among all the other things I was trying to do rebook, eat etc along with a million other people. Somehow I booked the hotel for the next day. I remember putting in the correct date so I don’t know how that happened. No hotel room and out $170 and had to stay in a crappy Hotel and pay again. BS
Canopy by Hilton in Atlanta Midtown was a real gem of a find. Quiet rooms. Great location, 10 minute walk to a lovely square with great restaurants and a 10-15 minute Uber to Buckhead Village (nice shops and eateries). Also about 30 mins from airport. Clean, modern, spacious hotel. Comfy bed, great bathroom. We would stay again. We would recommend.
The location was good, the neighbourhood was walkable, and had some great dining options. Downtown Atlanta was quickly accessible by public transport. The airport shuttle was convenient and on time. The room was reasonably clean and spacious, the bedding was comfortable, and the wifi worked well.
Modern and classy hotel in Downtown Atlanta. Close to major attractions and easy access for rideshare or public transportation. The entire staff were friendly and helpful but a special shout-out to the front desk - Jeffrey, Devon and Tami rocked! They provided exceptional customer service!
The flat was located in a good position close to the downtown of Atlanta, 10 minutes walk. It was easy to access from the airport and was found very clean. The flat is spacious and filled with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend for going to Atlanta.
The room was nice. All the staff that we encountered were very nice and helpful. It is in a great location. Easy walk to wherever you need to go downtown. Will definitely be back next time I need to be in downtown Atlanta.
I love the size of room-it was like a mini apartment. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is close to the airport and around 20 minute drive from downtown Atlanta.
The Hampton Inn is close restaurants and gas stations.
This is our go-to place for downtown Atlanta. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They have their own secured parking garage. It has been recently renovated. The prices are much better than the other places nearby.
great boutique style property if you want to escape the big brand hotels in downtown. everything is an Uber ride in Atlanta anyway, so not a problem it was a little outside downtown. still only 5/10 mins away.
I really enjoyed the room itself, and the location is amazing at the heart of Atlanta! The value x money was great, and it's a very cool hotel if you're willing to interact with people and enjoy nightlife.
The location is near to downtown Atlanta. The facility was clean as well as the rooms. I definitely love the fact that it came with breakfast. The staff was also friendly and had great customer service.
Great hotel, staff very helpful and friendly, downtown location is ideal. It's bit expensive, but were there for our anniversary and knew how much it would be beforehand, but it was worth it.
The room wasn't that bad but the hotel was dirty and it had a couple of roach bugs in the room but the room was clean hotel needs a little work I would stay again for Ia little cheaper
We loved to stay at the Reverb by Hard Rock Atlanta Downtown. Very friendly staff, modern style and including all amenities of a innovative city hotel.
