It was great , very exciting , It is quite expensive though and a lot of people trying to sell you trips etc but that is understandable . There is a lot of entertainment and quite safe to walk around at night . Do not drive , there is a lot of traffic. We went to the Star light restaurant , it was amazing you have singing waiters and waitresses ,they were very good, we loves it there. Westway restaurant was also great , a lot of variety to eat there and priced reasonably . Avoid the Hilton Time Square , it is under renovations and the staff there , (Kenny) are not very helpful or friendly . We also went to Central Park, very beautiful ,and there is a lot happening there , we loved it there .

Loved the Whitney Biennial and walking along the waterfront by the World Trade Center. Thought the Tenement Museum was over-rated.
Dinner at Dirt Candy was one of the best meals of my life; I would not return to NYC without eating there. Epicerie Boulud in the Oculus at the World Trade Center (great turkey , frisee, and aioli sandwiches and ginger cookies) and Eataly (White Moustache yogurt and caprese breakfast sandwiches) were good for smaller meals and grab & go.
We used taxis liberally but would like to work on mastering the subway on the next visit.

we allowed a couple of days at the end to just stroll and shop, rather than go full on !
easy to use the subway stations and its cheap, just tap card for entry
use the free ferry to Staten Island,to see Statue of Liberty, the outlet shopping is not very good
walk the High Line, fantastic views and get to the other districts down town Central Park is close to the hotel and worth a visit
walk over Brooklyn Bridge!
we didn't bother with a show on Broadway, very expensive, the q's for tickets of the day were about 1-2 hours (half price but not guaranteed good seats)
the food!!good breakfast fast food ,bagels etc but expensive
evening food ,restaurants very expensive for what i would call average foodie found a noodle bar down 51st street which was like food court inside not obvious from the facade but very good and reasonably priced Tipping is expected (they say 20%! but we did 10%)even on drinks at the bar
happy hour good value in Irish bars
Overall a fantastic week to celebrate a 70th birthday
would i visit again?? perhaps for a shorter time as i wouldn't need to visit all the places

Enjoyed seeing all the landmarks I’d only seen in the movies or on tv. The subways were a challenge but we only got lost a couple of times. I have a wheelchair and a lot of the entrances and exits did not have an elevator. My son had to carry wheelchair up/down steps and I had to go very slowly holding on to handrail.
Great stay!
Perfect location for exploring New York, right off 5th avenue for your shopping, 2 min walk from nearest subway, 5 min walk to Times Square, plenty of food and drink places around and 10min walk to Grand Central to get to the airport.
Staff friendly, good free WiFi, fast lift, microwave and fridge in room, Ice & water machine on our floor, cold air con, comfy bed, view on empire state from our room! My only issues are me being picky for the price I paid if it was a bit cheaper then I would have been incredibly happy
We stayed for 8 nights and overall really liked it. We have been to New York a couple of times and while the location is not the nicest (not dangerous, just touristy) it is the best for getting around Manhattan and beyond. We liked being able to walk to Hells Kitchen for food/drinks and plenty of other areas nearby and when we went further there were several subway options. We thought the bed and pillows were super comfortable and we never had to wait for a lift which is definitely a bonus when we looked at other hotels.
The hotel is very central to everything and just a short walk to the 6 and NQR trains. Neighborhood was very young and had lots of cool stuff to do. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, and check in and out was pretty fast. Bathroom inside of room was also clean and provided towels and mini shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Won't find a better deal in the city. It isn't the Ritz but it's cheap and gets the job done. If you like cute vintage feel this is the hotel for you.
The location is perfect for us since we take a train to Penn Station. It is also within walking distance of most Broadway Theaters, which are always on our agenda . Our room was just as advertised, queen bed ,attractive and clean , with a great view. We have stayed at the New Yorker twice, and were pleased with both visits. We particularly enjoy the 24 hour coffeeshop downstairs, Tick Tock, for breakfast. The price was not cheap, but reasonable for New York City.
The hotel is in a great location, near Times Square, and has a subway stop right across the street. The staff was very accommodating when we arrived early in the day and let us into a room before check-in time which we had asked them about before we arrived. Although the room description mentioned fridge and microwave, the room had a kitchen area with everything but a stove which was so convenient in a city that is incredibly expensive.
Our week-long stay at this hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness, combined with the modern rooms and pristine cleanliness, created an unforgettable experience. The location was a dream come true for anyone wanting to experience the heart of New York City. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional stay in the city that never sleeps.
The Manhattan Club is a great place to stay in New York - at the north end of Times Square and just a couple blocks away from the noise and hubbub. Also, a short walk north to Central Park, so location is a favorite for me.
The room had a queen bed and a queen sofa bed, plus a kitchenette which makes making coffee and breakfast in the room very easy.
Location was fantastic right in the middle of Manhattan, walking distance to Empire State Building, Times square. We even walked to Central Park. We were offered a ride to the airport at fixed rate lower than Taxi & Uber. We would stay at this hotel again if we go back to New York. We would recommend it to anyone going to New York. The room was clean.
My room was very good. Very comfortable, and also very clean.
The location of the hotel is in the heart of Manhattan. In MidTown Near Times Square, Near Empire State, and everything i wanted to visit what maximum 20 minutes away by train.
I didnt have breakfast there so i dont know how it is, but as an overall it was a very good stay.
Really friendly, helpful, accommodating staff. If you have to be near Times Square but don't want to be right in the thick of it, the location is perfect and very walkable. Lobby/bar/restaurant area was convenient and fun, the room was clean and comfortable. I had a "city view" room and it really delivered.
Honestly, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in New York City. The facilities were clean, the rooms were a good size, the air conditioning worked great, it was quiet, the elevator was fast, the location was perfect, and the value was excellent. I will definitely look to stay here again.
Decent hotel in a great location if you love to be in downtown New York City. While Canal Street can be a little iffy, this location is on the cleaner end, right below Soho's West Broadway, and next to Tribeca. And the price beats many of the cooler hotels in the area, if you're on a budget.
The hotel was beautiful and the rooms perfect. The beds were very comfy, the shower amazing, the room was spotless, and the views of the city from your window were nice too. Hotel staff was lovely. Very easy to walk to midtown for a broadway show. Perfect location in Manhattan.
the location is perfect for exploring the southern part of Manhattan. I’m coming to New York for more then 20 years, but due to business I’ve always stayed in midtown. This area is much more fun.
the hotel is close to a subway station.
Location! in addition, the room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. for a New York City hotel, the sq footage was a little tinier than I used to. Make sure your limber enough to climb over your partner to get out of bed.
It’s a great hotel with fantastic staff in a good midtown location. Hotel was clean and room was comfy and a reasonable size by New York standards. Good WiFi. Subway station round the corner. A good base to explore Manhattan.
The location is right at Times Square in Midtown Manhattan. But the hotel itself is very old school. No facilities that modern hotels have. Bond45 & Friedmans are the bar & restaurant which are fairly good.
Modern Hotel in the center of Manhattan. Many sights in walking distance (Central Park, Times Square, MoMA), so it's perfect as a base to discover New York. Rooms are large (for New York), modern and clean.
Great service. Although can’t call it cheap, but regarding New York prices, good value for money. Close to subway and can reach Times Square, Barclays Center and JFK with just one ride.
