My husband and I have been going to the Ramada in Shoal Bay for years. In fact, we got married at the Ramada.
This visit, was for our 10th wedding anniversary and the Ramada staff really did spoil us with beautiful decorations on our bed, a bottle of champagne, a box of lovely chocolates and a card from the staff. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary so special.
We love everything about the Ramada, the location, the restaurants, the bay, the people, the staff. Everyone is so friendly and so accommodating. It is a beautiful spot to visit if ever you get the chance.

Shoal bay has always been a holiday destination for us.
Shoal bay has always been a holiday destination for us. Been many times over the years and it never disappoints. My kids loved it and now the grandkids love the ease of getting to all amenities. The beach is just across the road. Shops within walking distance. Fresh air and wonderful selection is cafes and ice cream shops. The country club is our favourite place to get a great meal. We hired a canoe and paddled out to the beautiful turquoise waters. Can't explain it you have to experience it yourself.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Love the coastal area. Minimal traffic, high rise and not over developed. Beautiful beaches with blue tranquil water. Definitely Not a surfing beach. White sand . Seems like a very safe area. Good places to eat. Try the Country Club for a great meal or afternoon cocktails . Also the Atmos Greek Restaurant was very nice. 5 mins drive to Little Bay Boathouse a great restaurant we lived. 10 minutes to the larger town of Nelson Bay if you want to shop, dine, or need anything. The shower head in the ensuite need improved. Would be nice if proper bedside tables in the ensuite. Need some cereal bowls in the kitchen. The whole apartment is well equipped and well maintained. Nearby we visited Koala Santuary, Shark & Ray Encounters , Gan Gan lookout, Bob's farm Murray and nearby bay and beaches. Very nice scenery. I'm very pleased of the stay. Will book again.

The location of the house was good, walking distance to Shoal Bay beach and shops, plus an easy walk over to Box & Wreck Beach (a bit more adventurous but worth the walk down to the beach). BBQ and Kitchen set up was good, plenty of cooking utensils and basic pantry items to get by. Plenty of on street parking. Lots of puzzles, books and games to play in case of a rainy day or for some quiet time.Birdman84Australia

Inside is perfect, great lounge, awesome bed, magic deck with Shoal views, TV can log in to your own Prime/Netflix/YouTube, washing machine and great shower. We will put this on our regular list, we will never stay anywhere else in Shoal Bay.

Quiet area close to sea. The cottage is really cute, too. Obviously an older house which has been well renovated to make it comfortable for guests.
