The archetype of the Argentinean 20's 50's middle class, Rosario has many samples of elegant architecture. Walk it up and down, from the river to the boulevards, keeping your eyes up to see beautiful old buildings. Or if you prefer to saunter or jog along the Paraná River, you have miles to go admiring the occasional red flowered ceibos, blue flowered jacarandás, the Palo Borrachos, and the brown, persistent river. There are plenty of restaurants catering to European tastes. Cafés in every corner. Getting around is easy, mostly on foot, but also by taxi, bus. Although I was warned about security, I did not find any problem

I love Rosario's friendly people.
I love Rosario's friendly people. There is an astonishing mixture of old, delightful properties, and striking new murals. The streets roll down to the brown, sweet perfumed, waters of the Paraná River. There are long hikes to be walked along the river and through the quaint streets. The population is diverse. People hang out in cute cafés and restaurants until late at night. There is a bookstore in every block and lots of musical events. We found ourselves talking to the symphony conductor (a woman from Cuba) who was sitting next to us in El Cairo, a traditional café. She accepted our invitation to share a cup of coffee. That's the epitome of friendly Rosario.

We only spent a full day walking around in hot and humid conditions. However, we enjoyed the river ramblas and seeing THE monument. The pedestrian streets were most welcome as motorists are a bit aggressive but will yield to mothers with small children (hint). Great food at reasonable prices with good beer and exceptional wine.

As a visitor, I wouldn’t travel to Rosario until the summer time as nothing was opened for tourists. However we were advised stuff opens the weekend. Unfortunately our stay didn’t let us witness that.

It was easy to quickly feel like a local in Rosario, the people we met were quick to practice what English they knew. The taxi service made it effortless to get around. We enjoyed a local Tango show. Rock & Fella is a must as is trying the local Malbec! A highlight for me was visiting Che Guevara monument, walking by the river and visiting the monuments and cathedral. I highly recommend Chinchibira restaurant as a favorite. The food, wine, cocktails, and staff were second to none.
The hostess has great attention to detail. I enjoyed that she left scented candles, wine glasses, tea, and everything that one needs to have a comfortable stay. I didn't get to use the patio barbecue, but it is a great place for short-term and even long-term stays. I will definitely go back there if I visit Rosario. Very walkable city and easy to get to shops, bars and cafes.
Breakfast had 3 options. I usually had café con leche, two croissants, orange juice. The pool is average small. I did not use the pool. The room is smallish. Has a fridge, but no kettle to make coffee/tea. Excellent water in the shower. Comfortable bead. One pays for the hotel itself which is a renovated old mansion, astonishing old architecture, in the heart of Rosario.
The staff was great, very helpful and courteous. Loved the view of downtown from the room, and was extremely helpful to have had access to a pool during a very hot summer. The hotel is in a great location, just a few blocks away from the Peatonal in one direction, and the river in the other.
The hotel is over rated, extremelly expensive for what you get, Reception staff is not helping, they say no to every request. The hotel has too many rules and the overall experience is bad. Also is infested with pigeons
Rosario wasn't so good to me but this hostel made it great. Very nice hostel and the best staff, they treated me so very nice and with so much care when I needed it the most. Muchas gracias por todo!
We liked the location of the premises, many Restaurant's close by and the Hotel is 4 blocks from the Costanera Park, so it is well located. It was clean and quiet enough. Thx.
Staff were pleasant and helpful. The old hotel is attractive and room was comfortable. Decently quiet despite the loud restaurant music. Good breakfast.
