Fiumicino is best known for its access to the Eternal City through Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport. Despite this recent claim to fame, Fiumicino includes several archaeological sites around the ancient harbors of Ostia and Portus. It's also an important fishing center and summer resort, especially along the beaches and coves of Isola Sacra.
Hosting the busiest airport in Italy and the sixth busiest in Europe, the town has grown in a series of services that fit with these suburban functions. Examples are the Fiera di Roma conference center, or the Parco Leonardo recreation center.
The town of Fiumicino is 20 miles from central Rome, while Da Vinci Airport is 19 miles away from the Italian capital. The remains of Ostia Antica are less than 6 miles away.
Like many airports in the world, you can find hotels in Fiumicino Airport directly on its premises, providing effortless access to your flights.
Since most Fiumicino hotels are in the Isola Sacra area, you might get the chance to enjoy the Tyrrhenian beaches and the tasty Italian seafood.

We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home.
We stayed one night at Il Piccolo before our flight home. The accommodation was really close to the airport and Costantino helped me organise a shuttle to the airport.
The place was lovely and clean and the communication was very good. Breakfast was supplied and it was amazing.
As we had a late flight we were able to leave our luggage at the place while we explored Fiumicino.
Would highly recommend Il Piccolo.

Fiumicino is a charming and real town without the trappings of tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops that seem to cater to more locals than tourists. It was fun to wander about and soak up the atmosphere of this real fishing town.

The location close to the airport was good for us and the time that we had available.
The port was a short walk away and had good restaurants and a nice vibe.
The breakfast was OK, simple and adequate for us. It would have been improved if we had access to more than just a kettle and coffee machine as we got a takeaway pizza and had no plates. Would suggest that other travellers eat at the pizza shop itself.

We often choose to stay in Fiumicino as a staging area either upon arrival or departure from Roma (FCO airport). It has a sort of edgy border town vibe to it that makes it feel more authentic. It has a nice promenade along the mouth of the river with many cafes, bars, & restaurants; you can fall into a bad tourist place or find a nice authentic trattoria, and also some very posh establishments; most featuring local fish.
It is close to the airport so it's convenient and the prices for a room are lower than going into Rome proper.

Not an airport hotel..
Not an airport hotel..
Arrived by taxi late as shuttle had finished for the night.
I thought the price of my room was great value
Until…
I added my taxi ride from the airport €30 then the following day shuttle back to the airport €10
I should have stayed at the 4star option beside the airport as it would have been less expensive

It reminds me of the beautiful city of Trieste on north-east Italian coast. Walking to the sea while seeing la bella porta. There were many restaurants in Fiumicino. Many of them sea-based. You will find good priced napoletana pizaa and some more interesting italian restuarants.
I will come to visit this beautiful city again. instead of just bella roma
Room was
Clean. Shower was strong with lots of hot water. Sheets and towels clean. Bed comfortable.
Friendly employees. Great location close to the shopping mall. Inside the mall is a food court. Note there are two hotels in this location B&B Hotel Roma Fiumicino Aeroporto Fiera 2 is the one across the train track. Fiera 1 is the one that is connected to the shopping mall building. Very easy just to cross over the track with the upper walkway and down. It also is convenient location to take the train. Just steps away.
Reception was efficient and courteous. Every staff member was friendly and respectful.
A good breakfast was included
They provided prompt and efficient car from airport to hotel and back, for a very good price.
The accommodation charge was very competitive.
The location at Fiumicino is peaceful and interesting, with numerous, affordable eating options very close
I recommend Porto di Claudio tto anyone who needs a short stay in a good hotel away from the crowds and noise of central Rome
The location was perfect. The hotel is about 10 mins to Roma Fiumicino airport and easy to reach with the shuttle they provide. Also, there is a train station called Fiumicino Parco Leonardo just next to the hotel. But there was no noise to bother you. And there was a huge shopping centre nearby (just 1 minute away from the hotel). It was good for us to access the food court and grocery shop. The staff at the reception was also very helpful and friendly.
We needed a nice spot close to the airport, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on the hotels close by. We fount this great little B&B and the host could not have been nicer. She drove us into the town of Fiumicino and explained things as we went. She also made arrangements to have us picked up on the morning of out flight. The only thing left to do was to enjoy the amazing breakfast that she prepared for us. Thank you!! :-)
This was a one night stay before catching our flight home. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable.
It was located in a small town close to the airport which was amazing to look out and watch the fishing boats in the harbor and take a stroll along the streets it made us feel like you were in a community with the locals. We didn't expect this so close to Rome Intl airport a nice change of pace from airport hotels.
Nice, newer hotel. Free street parking was easily available directly in front of hotel in the evening. 10 minutes to Fiumicino airport. Room was very spacious with a king bed, a single bed, large desk area, Tv andini fridge. Bathroom was also spacious with a full size shower. Stayed 1 night before our morning flight. Airport shuttle available. Many nice restaurants within a few minutes walk.
close to the airport, 3 minutes to the airport, value for money and in general the place was clean. We really appreciated that they were accommodating for a late arrival, something that not many hotels are doing these days due to COVID. The person who met us for the airport to hotel transfer and gave us the keys was very nice, we appreciated him and his quick response times via WhatsApp.
We were shocked when we arrived at this hotel - it was much nicer than we expected. The pictures do not do it justice. The restaurant was also very good. The rooms were deluxe, spotless, quiet. The pool and facilities were exceptional. It is a great place to stay if you need a hotel near the airport but do not want to stay in a depressing airport hotel.
Hotel a few minutes walk to the seafront and only 10 minutes drive to Fiumicino airport. Shuttle bus runs from the airport to and from the hotel at 7 euros pp. This hotel is good value for money. Rooms and facilities good. Really clean. Had to leave early in the morning so cannot comment on breakfast. A private and secure car park if you have a vehicle.
Hotel was very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were fine but bed was a bit firm for me although I did sleep OK. Handy shuttle bus from Fiumicino Airport which was great for 8 euro pp. We used the hotel to break up the journey to the cruise terminal in Civitavecchia and will always choose to do this again when sailing from Rome.
We stayed in 7 different hotels on our holiday to Italy and Greece, this place was the cleanest of them all. It is very close to FCO and they have a 10€ airport shuttle that can’t be beat. The owners are very helpful and friendly. We stayed here 1 night after returning from Greece and leaving it the US the next morning.
Perfectly located for Fiumicino airport; although the walk with cases isn't particularly short, it is via mostly covered walkways.
Clean hotel as you would expect from Hilton with excellent facilities. The breakfast is particularly good and sets you up for a day's travel.
Easy to access Rome via the Da Vinci train.
A great place when you need to stay near Fiumicino. Far exceeded our expectations for an airport hotel, and less expensive than the ones actually on the airport proper. Convenient shuttle, very friendly and helpful staff. If you have time, visit the nearby ruins of Ostia Antica to see what a Roman city looked like.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very good and well presented. For an airport hotel it was good value for money and a pleasant place to stay. Fiumicino is an easy walk away and is worth a short visit.
Hotel Isola Sacra Rome Airport feels like a Florida resort. With apartments overlooking a swimming pool, which is beautiful lit up at night. Scenographic restaurant. Ample parking. Close to Fiumicino airport.
This was very close to the airport without paying the exorbitant prices that Chene hotels charge. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable.
