The room I got was very small and loud. I had to ask for a room at 1 am as I could not sleep at all. The staff was extremely kind and helpful; they moved me to a quieter and bigger room. Breakfast was amazing; great selection and everything was fresh. Staff 10/10; hotel is a bit old to my liking 7/10. I would only give it 3 stars.

It was perfectly located, no more than a 5-min walk to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The room was a single room with a good range of facilities including a mini fridge, air-conditioning, large wardrobe space, hairdryer and a nicely-sized ensuite. The breakfast included was superb with a good selection of various breads, pastries, cold meats, coffee etc. The staff were very friendly, especially the man at the front desk and the woman serving breakfast/coffees.

We spent 1 1/2 days in Pisa and felt that was about enough to see everything. Took a lovely horse and carriage ride, saw the leaning tower of Pisa and ate dinner in a 100% gluten free restaurant which was amazing. Grano Libero homemade ravioli and lasagna. The Grand Duomo Hotel has an amazing view of the tower at night and is a great place to get a drink and unwind I just wish they open before 7:00. The hotel was nice but very old fashioned. First time I’ve been handed a key to a room in forever but just steps away from the tower.

Pisa is a good centre for visiting the cities and towns around it. Florence, Lucca, Viareggio, livorno and La Spetzia are all easily reached by train. It is much less overtouristed than say Florence apart from the area around the leaning thing.

Pisa has the obvious attractions and a few less obvious.
Pisa has the obvious attractions and a few less obvious. We have been a few times previously and enjoyed Bruno's Bar and the Botanical Gardens for a little peace and quite.
If visiting at the weekend it is very busy but after 18.00, most of the day trippers and coach parties leave and its a much less crowded and nicer place to be.
A walk around the top of the city walls also gets you away from the crowds and also give a totally different view of the main attractions.

The Leaning Tower, Cathedral, the Wall, Battistero,...
The Leaning Tower, Cathedral, the Wall, Battistero, Camposanto are all worthy of more than one day.
Also, the city has a lot more to be seen, along Arno and the many Piazza's with a plethora of restaurants and charming streets.
Beautiful rooms in an amazing setting. It didn’t feel like you were in a location with such proximity to the train station and the city. The outside terrace was fantastic in the morning for breakfast. Breakfast had a great selection and coffee was lovely. The bed was the comfiest we had stayed in whilst in Italy. The hosts were so kind, warm and friendly and truly made us feel at home. We wished we stayed in Pisa for longer and leaving to return to the airport was sad! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will definitely return.
- Pisa is a VERY small city in the centre and although Villa Marina is at the very edge of it, this allowed us a pleasant 10-15 minutes walk to most destinations in the city we wanted to go to (there are much better locations BTW but we enjoy walking).
- The staff was pleasant and helpful
- The hotel was clean, as was our room; with crisp white bedlinen and spotless, bright white fluffy towels. Always a
pleasure.
- Drinks tray in the room (not always available in Italy!) and endless supply of bottle water
We used this B&B because of its location near Pisa airport both on arriving and leaving Italy. We arrived at night after a late flight; the owner had already sent videos by WhatsApp of the location, how to enter the property, and what was inside, which was very useful. The apartment itself had what we needed for a short stopover, with food available in the shared kitchen. The milk, juice and fresh fruit was especially appreciated. We also sat in the garden in the morning to have breakfast.
The best stay we had in Italy. We spent a few nights in Rome, 3 in Bologna, 1 in Florence and 1 here in Pisa. We wish we booked this for at least 2 nights instead, as it was truly stunning. The bathroom in particular is a joy. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny; it's more of a 5 star stay. The leaning tower is a 20 minute walk away, so not completely central, but the walk is lovely. The person I've dealt with via whatsapp couldn't have been any nicer. Absolutely brilliant. 10/10
Excellent location! This hotel is situated within a short 10 minute walk from the Tower of Pisa, and the walk is pretty much a pedestrian street filled with restaurants, cafes, gelaterias, bars, and cute small local shops. The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable, has all the necessary items, and staff is friendly and helpful.
We walked from the hotel to the Pisa Centrale train station is about 20 minutes. It seemed impossible to find a cab.
Super convenient location! Just 10min walk from airport. There's a giant supermarket around the corner of the hotel as well as good restaurant. The room we stayed in, #1 was just as described. We were greated by a super friendly hostes who helped us with suggestions of surrounding areas to visit. The city center and the leaning tower of Pisa is a 30 min walk. Oh, and breakfast was amazing! I'd definitely recommend to stay here😁🇮🇹
Best location to arrive at night. Just take a shuttle from airport and stop at Pisa Centrale, cross the street and you will find the hotel! Room really nice, comfortable and cleaned, The receptionist, fantastic! (polite, quick, good info about the city). You can leave your luggage and explore the city during the check out day. No doubts. We will repeat if we come back to Pisa!
Our room was at the back of the hotel and was quiet but our friends rooms faced the street and they said it was a bit noisy.
The breakfast was probably the best continental I've had in a long time. Loads of choice and everything was fresh and presented nicely. The staff were really helpful and I would definitely stay here again if I ever find myself in Pisa in the future.
spent 2 weeks in Italy: 11 hotels- Hotel Bologna was my favorite! extensive, delicious FREE breakfast with charcuterie, fresh bread, desserts, multiple coffee choices, including cappuccino, eggs (often not offered at other places), beds were most comfortable, coffee and mini bar in the rooms, great staff and walkable to train station and the Leaning Tower
The best hotel! New and modern facilities. Directly outside of Pisa Centrale train station, walking distance to Pisa Tower. Bus Lam Rossa to Pisa tower too. The room has safe and kettle, which are important. Very comfortable beds. Great for the value. This is also a good suggested stay if want to go to Florence or cinque terre. 1 hour train to both.
Well located hotel about 2 blocks from Leaning Tower of Pisa. Hotel was clean, staff friendly, Breakfast great. Very handy to walk about the city. We requested parking when we booked, and they held a parking place for us. They have limited space. We were grateful for that.
Super location , halfway between the station and the city centre. Friendly staff with good restaurant recommendations. Super clean room , just be aware at the front of the hotel you could hear Pisa in the street below . If you want silence ask to be at the back of the hotel .
Rooms were spacious and beautiful, breakfast was delicious (loved their croissants for ex, when usually Italy doesn't have great croissants). The hosts were very attentive to all our needs and went above and beyond. The location is in the heart of a very nice part of Pisa
Great value hotel. Incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable.
A very short few walk to the train station.and easy to get to from the airport.
Best breakfast we had in Italy was the included in the room rate.
The property is really affordable, the view is spectacular, the location is perfect, only a few steps away from the Pisa Leaning Tower, and 8 mins walk to the central station, the staff are all really friendly and nice! Best accommodations I’ve had in Italy:)
Location is a few minutes from pisa Station and 25 minutes walk to the airport. The centre is also in walking distance. Room has a lot of space. Breakfast was provided by the bar next to the hotel which was good.
A fabulous hotel and only a 5 minute walk to the leaning tower of Pisa along with all the amazing restaurants. The receptionist was so kind and helpful and we highly recommend this place.
The hotel is in a great location, just steps away from the Tower of Pisa. Beds are comfortable, nice size room and bathroom. Bathroom is newly renovated.
