We enjoyed wandering around the older parts of town. The cathedral was beautiful and open to view inside. The entire town is walkable, no need to hire a car. There was a variety of places to eat and drink. The location of the train station made it easy to come and go.

Tirano is a very nice town.
Tirano is a very nice town. It is very well connected with other parts of Italy by train. Also, the main attraction is the Bernina Express, which departs hourly from the Swiss Train Station, which is opposite the TrenItalia train station. What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river.
What a gorgeous little town right by the rushing river. Fascinating buildings and great food ( had a great pizza at LETI DI PILONI AXEL by the station. Only stayed overnight after coming from Chur on the Bernina line then on to Rome but could easily have spent a week here. Everything walkable.

Lovely town in the valley, surrounded by beautiful wooded mountains. The old town is great and the connection to the Rhaetian Railway and the beautiful Bernina line are not to be missed! We went there to take the Bernina Express to St. Moritz and back. It was a beautiful experience. We stayed at Ostello del Castello and had three wonderful nights at one of the most kindness hosts Andrea we have ever meet, really nice ;-)IbDenmark

Spacious, comfy apartment. The staff on the reception in the nearby Stelvio hotel (who was handling the check-in for this property) was very friendly, we were staying there on Monday and Wednesday and they managed that we could stay in the same room and use the same entrance code, so there was no need for additional check-in and going to the reception once again. Great value for money, we would definitely come back!

The room was very clean and very stylish, I was very pleasantly surprised! We had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The Bernina express station was two minutes walk from the hotel so we didn't have to rush. I can't praise enough the breakfast which was absolutely delicious and had a mouthwatering presentation too and not to mention the delicious caked and espresso coffee. They give you these great aluminum water bottles as a gift…very nice! We were able to check in while there was someone at desk…apparent,y that’s only between 5-7pm. Otherwise, you’re given a code for outside door and they leave your room key sitting on the front desk with your name on it!! How can this be safe? It is about 19 minutes walk from the main train station which way great. The breakfast was great. We were even offered fresh berries from their garden. How great is that? Super friendly staff.
