This was a great experience! I slept so comfortably that I had to ask in the reception what kind of bed it was! The breakfast was also fantastic, my 16-year old daughter and I really enjoyed it!

Scratch beneath the small-town surface of Helsinki and you will find a cosmopolitan metropolis buzzing with a lively attitude and plenty of excitement. Strolling around the streets of Helsinki will reveal an Empire-style of architecture, comparable to St. Petersburg. The greatest example of this is the green-domed Lutheran Cathedral which rises proudly out of the centre of Senate Square.
From here the main shopping street of Aleksanterinkatu, affectionately known as Aleksi, runs towards Mannerheimintie and contains the largest department store in Scandinavia, called Stockmann. The up-market boulevard of Esplanadi runs alongside and is packed with exclusive boutiques.

We loved the library and the Music Centre and a wonderful coffee place called 'Roberts coffee' in the centre.
It felt very safe and had interesting buildings to walk around.
For me it was so bitterly cold and snowed twice - in April - and although I like snow I didn't enjoy the ice the following days. I need to travel to somewhere warm!
Food - OK; expensive.

Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options.
Nice town, with great public transport. Many trip options. Fantastic idea of a library open to anyone, combing a cafe, reading room, games room together - you can get in for free and stay a long long, have coffe, read or play games. An option to by by ferry for a day to Tallin. A great museum on Suomelina island and a great day out, fantastic saunas, good food in the Market Hall.

Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit.
Nice city. It's a place to live and not to visit. In rapport to southern European cities it doesn't have much to offer, so, no museums, any spectacular city sight, but in the end is an enjoyable place.

It's very central and close to the sea that was great. The room was tidy and neat but not very cosy and a bit cold (heating restricted). Breakfast was not good much below standard hotel breakfast.

Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening.
Arrived late Friday, left Sunday evening. More than enough time there (although opinion was a little jaded due to unexpected snow). Little to see in the city centre (covered all the 'sights' in 2-3 hours walk. Ferries weren't working due to technical issues. It's ridiculously expensive which takes the spontaneity out of stopping for a coffee, drink or snack. Some attractions (one of the churches) wanted 8 euro entrance each - just didn't seem worth it. Looked at possible restaurants for dinner - a curry house was charging 25 euro for a basic curry - no sides, rice or extras - just the main dish.
Also, travelling from the UK, I have never been interrogated by passport control as much - wanted to see return flight details, hotel information, know why you were there "as you've left the EU so why do you want to come here" - not the best welcome and definitely started the weekend with a sour taste in our mouths!
Average clean and amazingly located hotel in the city center of Helsinki. It takes not more than 10 minutes on foot to come from central train station. Staff was helpful, wi-fi worked fine, free coffee and tea in the reception (when it was open - trust me, not always open, even during a daytime). Free shampoo and shower gel bottles in the bathroom, TV inside the room with international channels, also there is an elevator to reach 5th or 6th floor where all rooms are located. Free storage rooms with a lockers for hotels guests.
The Apartment is indeed very well connected with the public Transport System. With a few steps you can get to the Tram and Bus lines, but we didn't notice any traffic noise in the night. Even the metro is in comfortable walking Distance.
On top of that there are many great Restaurants in the area wich are much cheaper that the ones in the City Center!
Also the public Saunas in the area are much cozyer and more authentic than the ones in the City Center.
The owner is very friendly and flexible, kind regards and many thanks!
The room was decently sized and well decorated, value for the money you pay. location is amazing as well as you have almost all the central attraction in walking distance. its not right in the middle of the city center but in a 5 minutes walk you can reach the old market hall and estelaesplanadi, kind of an hideaway from the busy streets. its a very small property with limited facilities, but the hotel staff is extremely helpful. breakfast is very limited but good for a quick grab in the morning.
Good sized rooms with amazing breakfast. Staff very friendly and supportive.
Location is kind a mid between airport (approximate 35 bus drive) and city center (25 min bus drive approx).
Bus 415 can take you from airport to almost in front of the hotel (bus stop is on the main road and hotel adjacent to a small road)... many buses can take you to city center (senate square etc). On the way back have to go via a bridge as bus stop is other side of the highway.
Amazing vibe and decor! Expectations blown!
Right in the city center and close to train to airport.
Staff gave a warm welcome and provide us with a room well before check in time! (No other hotel ever done that for me).
Room was spacious and clean... Everything you need.
Breakfast had several choices and delicious. Even had green healthy juice available... This would be a breakfast place I would go to in London.
The hotel is wonderful. We were a family of 4, with 2 teenagers. The room was very spacious, with separate shower from the toilet room, which was very convenient.
Breakfast was excellent, big variety and everything was fresh and tasty.
Excellent location, near the city center, either on foot or with a rental bike. Overall we had a great time and hopefully will visit again!
The room was comfortable, although not the most comfortable bed I’ve had in hotels. Everything was clean and accessible, the breakfast was excellent, and had plenty of choices. The location was perfect; very easy access to the main train station as well as other public transport, and also central enough that much of the city center could be explored by foot from the hotel.
There was an up to 2h free parking on the side of the road in front of the hotel, and it was free all night, it saved us. The parkings are not cheap in Helsinki.
24h grocery shop downstairs.
Typical Finnish apartment, soundproof and well ventilated. The third bed is in a little tiny space separated by a sliding door.
Blackout curtains.
The hotel is situated in the lovely Katajanokka neighborhood of Helsinki, very close to the city center and easy to reach with public transportation from the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable, albeit perhaps a bit dated. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good and had plenty of choices.
The studio is very comfortable - nice bed, fully equipped kitchen, a lot of storage space. The hotel has a sauna which is great but check the opening hours. The hotel is not exactly in the city center but 15 min from it, so no big deal.
older hotel, near train station, heated by traditional hot water radiators rather than forced hot air duct work, operable windows. No indoor air pollution as in a modern hermetic hotel. great breakfast. reasonable price
The proximity to down town and railway station. Parking underneath the hotel with 36€per day is not cheap but considered to the other choices outside the hotel it's good. Personnel are very polite and willing to help.
The location of the hotel is in a mainly office area. If you are plannign to go to Estonia, is very near the harbour and ferries that go to Tallinn, it's walking distance, but it's far from the city center.
Quite good location 10-15 minutes by walk to to the city center.
Central communication point, airport bus stops next to the hotel.
Wonderful breakfast! Big variety of local and international food.
I had some doubts before arriving this hotel in Helsinki because it was new building but everything was in properly and clear.
Also location was close to city center.
