Strasbourg is a beautiful historical city. The transport system in the city is wonderful. I loved riding on the trams. The staff at the tourist office were very helpful. Reductions for being over 60 at museums. Wonderful artisan bread and cheese. Loved the Alsatian Pino Noir.

We used the map (1.50 euro) from the Strasbourg Tourist Office to do our own self-guided tour of the old town in the morning then did a 1h15 Batorama river cruise in an open-topped riverboat in the afternoon which was well worth the money (15.75 euro per person). You need to allow plenty of time to view the Strasbourg Cathedral of Notre-Dame both inside and out - the Astronomical Clock inside is a must see!

Strasbourg is clean, pedestrian friendly, with easy access to trains, buses and trams. We found it a bit confusing figuring out the transit system at first, but once done, they are great. We highly recommend the Modern Art Museum (and their cafe is lovely) and a visit to the European Parliament. The architecture in both is amazing.

We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets.
We enjoyed seeing the city and walking the streets. The atmosphere was very positive and joyful. You could buy interesting souvenirs. The food was variable and delicious. Lot of sweats and cakes everywhere. The sellers and staffs of sale centers tried to talk on English and it was very good since my french ability is weak. The public transportation was great. It could also be a tourist attraction.

Magical place wandering around Le petite france area.
Magical place wandering around Le petite france area. Highly recommend the tourist trains (there are two) which both go from either side of the cathedral. 45 mins each circuit. Informative and interesting. Do the one through Le Petite France first as it’s the best. The second one takes you more around the city through university area and past historical german/nazi areas. Make sure to wandering around Le Petite France on foot also though esp around the lock area by the tanners house.
The hotel is located very closely to the European institutions located in Strasbourg. The main train station can be reached with the bus (in about 20 minutes). The city centre can be reached by bus or on foot as well (in about 30 minutes). The hotel is located closely to the Orangerie park. The location was quiet despite the proximity of the street.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was possible to use Wifi provided by the hotel without any difficulties.
The breakfast was served duly in previously arranged time.
Their tagline is a place secret and and special. It lives up to it. It’s in the petite France area of Strasbourg but it feels tucked away and private. We had two different rooms because we decided to stay an extra night. The first was open and light but a little closer to the street. The second felt very Alsatian. Both rooms were comfortable, roomy and charming. The hotel staff were very helpful and great attention to detail. We really liked Strasbourg and we loved the hotel.
The personnel is extremely nice and helpful. A good quality breakfast with a focus on reducing food waste. Within the same token, free second-hand books available in the corridors. Entertainment for kids is also provided for, e.g. table football. Clean and bright interior.
The hotel is conveniently located near tram B (connection to city centre) and within walking distance of Petite France and the train station. There's a security code to enter the building boosting the feeling of safety.
The room was very clean and stylish, and in a great location - only a short walk down to some great bars, bakeries and shops, and a lovely walk to Petite France. The staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. They happily turned on the sauna outside of the regular times for us, which is a great facility of the hotel, super luxurious and clean! The bathroom was also very clean and I loved the shower, and fluffy robes are always a plus! I would definitely stay at Hotel D again.
pleasant hotel on the edge of the old city near the station. Very quirky historic lift which was a nice feature. The room was on a corner so reasonably spacious, as was the bathroom. Comfortable beds and nice hotel toiletries and towels. A bit of a walk into the very centre but plenty to see. Not too far to get to the picturesque Petite France area. The bakery along the street when you turn right out of the hotel was exceptional. a great alternative to the hotel breakfast
This hotel came highly recommended by Rick Steves and by Lonely Planet. This place deserves all glowing reviews it receives. Hotel du Dragon is tasteful, very well run and spotless business-class place near Petite France, and within 5 min walk to the Cathedral.
Our room was cute, sparkling clean, with windows looking into tree-shaded courtyard. Air condition was great during the heat wave.
Breakfast was delicious, personnel professional and friendly.
Modern hotel at the center of Strasbourg. The lobby bar/restaurant was open and served local wines, appertifs and even mulled wine. Quite pleasant. The rooms were modern and efficiently laid out. Nice bathrooms and very comfortable beds. It was a 5 minute walk to Platz Kleber and Galleries Lafayette. 6 minutes to Petite France. Cathedral perhaps 8 minutes. The location was amazing and overall the staff were very helpful and professional.
The hotel was close to the centre and we parked outside the hotel on the road as we had a roof box. The hotel was modern and comfortable. Justine on reception couldn’t have been more helpful, booking us a restaurant for 9 of us at short notice. We had a lovely breakfast early on Sunday morning so we could get on the road to head back to the uk. Strasbourg was a beautiful city and we really enjoyed our stay.
Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent secure bike storage - particularly impressive for a city centre located. Perfect location for our early morning train the next day as it was vey close to the station and also an easy walk from Petit France. Not noisy at night in spite of location. Wonderful to have a water dispenser available for use. Would definitely stay again if in Strasbourg.
Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Location was quiet and safe, with mostly all-round access to a nearby supermarket, and 10 mins by tram from the centre of Strasbourg. From the hotel, we were able to travel by tram anywhere we wanted in Strasbourg, even on Christmas day. Hotel also provided DIY laundry facilities, which were very useful over the holiday period.
The location is good, near to the train station (3-4 min walk) and near to "La Petite France"/Grande-Île de Strasbourg (8-10 min walk). The room did not have a great view but at least it was quiet, and the bathroom was big and modern. The staff was pleasant and we were able to leave our luggage after check out in a special room. Overall the hotel is ok for the price.
-Location was an easy walk into downtown Strasbourg where we were heading to visit the Christmas markets.
-Staff were friendly and helpful.
-Water pressure was good.
-Bed looked like it was going to be a long, uncomfortable night but was, surprisingly, comfortable.
-Their parking €11/day was right behind the property with access into the hotel.
The hotel was located a few streets from the train station and about a 10 minute walk to Petit France and the cathedral. There are trams that can take you everywhere also within walking distance. My room was big for Europe, comfortable and clean. The staff were always helpful and courteous.
Second time staying in this hotel and it’s a place that I’d probably always want to come back to if staying in Strasbourg.
Apartments are super modern, well planned out and an apartment for 3 people still feels spacious and comfortable. The sleeper couch in the living room is decent too.
Renting an apartment very close to train station and central Strasbourg.
Clean and comfortable but not a hotel so no extras. Great value though and very quiet. Easy to walk everywhere. Tons of nearby restaurants
Host recommended nearby cafe for breakfast and was excellent
Good quality hotel with excellent value for money. in 3 minutes on foot you reach the tram stop B which after a few stops takes you directly to the centre. The same tram goes to the Eu buildings, too. Strasbourg is beautiful, I recommend at least 2 nights to visit it.
Everything was wonderful, very clean and comfortable. It is a very nice hotel in a good location in Strasbourg (just one stop away from Gare and 3 stops to get close to Petite France). It is very good value for money. I highly recommend it.
clean, comfortable, beautiful hotel
you are right in the heart of Strasbourg yet it was quiet enough to have our window open at night - great staff and facilities - best hotel we stayed in at that price point
The location was pretty much perfect, next to both the Cathedral and Petite France. The room was average but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and staff was very friendly and nice.
We liked the location of the room; very quiet. The staff were all nice and accommodating. Breakfast had a lot of choices. The hotel location was close to petite France and the train station.
