I lived there for seven years and I miss it. If you have not been go there. It has everything you need in a town. All shops are accessible by walking. It has a very good nightlife and you will not be stuck to find a good restaurant. The people there are very friendly. Fantastic beaches within a short drive. The problem when I go there I spend too much lol.

Friendly people ,lots of shops with character and individuality! Could do with more gastro pubs without spoiling the charm of this lovely town! Lots of things to do and see in Wexford especially in Gorey where there is a lovely town and lots of estates sites to visits seeped in history/ culture etc! Wexford is easy to get around on foot and by car! Loved Enniscorthy Castle well worth a visit! The seal sanctuary in Courtown is also well worth a visit!

We went to Wexford for the annual Opera Festival. The Opera House is delightful. Wexford itself is a vibrant place with lots of independent shops and restaurants and an interesting history dating back to Viking times. Of particular note was a restaurant called Jaspers (booking essential) in the Crown Quarter.
Lots of parking facilities and a compact town so easy to walk round.

Wexford is a beautiful harbour town with a great mix of shops. Lots of bars, which have plenty of live music each night, including 'Trad Nights' with traditional Irish music, also lots of eateries, sights to see, art galleries and a National Opera House. The twin churches are very pretty, make for a beautiful photograph from a distance and are both worth a look inside to make comparisons. It's only a short walk between the two. The short drive over Wexford Bridge towards Ferrybank takes you to the beach where the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan was filmed and in the other direction towards Rosslare, if you drive past Kelly's resort Hotel and keep on going and going along the little peninsula, there is a very interesting Lifeboat Memorial to be seen which looks over towards Wexford itself.

Wexford was just a stopover for us on the way to other places. We arrived at night and left in the morning. I think a day or two would have been good to explore, but we simply didn’t have time this trip.

This is our second time in wexford and unfortunately everytime we have been there it was raining heavily.
The buildings look dreary in bad weather. People we met were very friendly and helpful and we liked that its a walkable town.
Beautiful country house hotel with friendly hosts and an abundant, delicious breakfast. thoughtful touches like tea and coffee and biscuits available all day. We travel with our dog and had a separate breakfast area which meant total relaxation. A short stroll down the hill takes you to the Wexford Walking Trail, which provides off lead possibilities for any holidaying Fido!
The food was very nice. Bedroom was spacious and comfortable. Well decorated and it was quite in the mornings too which was good for getting a rest. Some of the staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty and they serve you at your table. Taxi service is good if you want to get in and out of town. You will pay 10 euro per trip. Hotel is cheaper than staying in Wexford town.
This is not a boutique hotel but a comfortable family home full of curios and warmth whereby the owners have opened up parts of their house as a B&B. A simple, affordable and very welcoming B&B. Its location fabulously convenient for the Wexford Opera House and so much more. Kathleen's cooked breakfast is just perfect for setting the day up.
This was a wonderful relaxing stay with a few pampered bonuses thrown in for good measure! We were amazed by the 5 star breakfast spread! The best meal of our time in Ireland over the course of 8 days. An absolute gem of a place and the couple who own and manage it were lovely people and catered to every need without exception.
Loved the location of the hotel. Although in the middle of the bar 'strip' it wasn't really that noisy or disruptive. Location near to many other shops & pubs too. Hotel bar staff/service were wonderful as well. So friendly & gave great suggestions on places to go.
The staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. The hotel is near the beach and there is a bus outside the door that goes to wexford. The train station is also nearby. There was good entertainment in the bar especially on the Friday night.
It was a lovely place to stay. The owner and his daughter are so gracious. Whole staff helpful and nice. I would highly recommend this place. Had great time at bar downstairs. Full of locals. Location lil outside of center of Wexford but not too bad of a walk.
The hotel is located on the banks of the Slaney so was peaceful & picturesque. The hotel was perfectly located to explore Wexford & surrounding counties and have a good base with excellent food & drink to come back to.
A great guest house, so friendly. The breakfast is wonderful, with very pleasant accommodation right in the heart of Wexford. The bed was comfortable with lovely fresh linen. We would definitely return.
The Hotel is ideal for shopping or socialisining in Wexford Town. The large room with view of river was a surprise.
Food was good
There is a pool on the 1st Floor with sauna etc.
A brilliant hotel. The best food in Wexford town. A lovely breakfast and the staff bar one were lovely. I would recommend the Rivbank Hotel 100%. A quaint experience. Thank you.
Nothing to like Newbay House cancelled my reservation the day before we were to arrive and gave us a complimentary stay in their sister hotel in wexford, which was a disaster!!!
