We had a family unit which turned out to be a separate building with four bedrooms. It was huge. Quite basic, but great value.

The historic shearer's cottage has been beautifully restored, is well maintained and set in a peaceful rural farm environment It's rustic charm transports you back Into last century - away from Wifi, Television and (mostly) unnecessary modern cons. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are basic, but fully sufficient for a pleasant stay.
The owner is extremely friendly hospitable and a rich source of knowledge and information.

Such a cute cabin to stay in, perfect for one night stay on the way to Rotorua from Wellington. Easy to find and super friendly staff who made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed for the night. Amazing stars to see as I went to the bathroom facilities which is a short walk form the cabins. Food came quickly and was served with a smile. Got to pat the goat and ponies on my way out which was very sweet.
Featuring garden views, Cliff Top Cottage is located in Ohingaiti, around 47 km from RNZAF Base Ohakea. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.
