Wowzers! Avalon Resort in KeriKeri is an absolute sanctuary. The photographs don't do it justice. Hands down the best place to stay in Kerikeri. The photographs don't do it justice. As soon as you arrive you feel like you are in heaven. Grounds are stunning. The service was above and beyond. I travelled with my baby girl and the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had the most beautiful stay.

The welcoming was friendly and special. Lionel welcomed us with a lovely sign and welcome drinks. The facilities are incredible. You don’t need anything at all because it’s all supplied. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The pool is lovely. The bed is extremely comfortable. We loved the little treats that we got every day when we came back from our time out exploring. The breakfast is amazing as well. A very special place and great for time out and to relax. Thank you Lionel and Rob for being amazing hosts. We loved our stay!!! And would highly highly recommend.

Te Whare Ma was a wonderful place to stay. Waitangi , and the tour well worth the $. Delicious lunch at Marsden estate, and very friendly experienced staff. The Stone store and oldest house in NZ next door excellent. There is a market Saturday and Sunday opposite Makana chocolate. Very good artists and crafts people , and an excellent singer.

As we were only there for one night it had everything we needed, but noticed that it advertised the cafe, but noticed that the cafe was closed and up for sale, although this was not a big deal as there were plenty of eateries close by. Kerikeri was an easy place to get around.

It’s a wonderful art and food scene with hidden beaches and waterfalls all over the show. A great stop on your way through the north or as a base to travel from. It also has an airport for weekend getaways.

Rainbow Falls are worth a visit, especially on a longer river trail walk. The Stone Store is great but make sure you walk to the Pa Site to get a different perspective - about 250m to the right of the Stone Store and past the Plough and Feather. The pizzas at the bar behind the Plough and Feather are delicious! And the GF option was yum!

Has great venue for events and beautiful waterfalls and walks. The shops are varied, good quality, and many cafes to choose from with delicious food. We also really liked the Friday evening food fest at the Old Packhouse and the Saturday morning market there.

Lovely property - rooms face a beautifully established garden, and eating breakfast at a small table outside your room on the wide verandah, and enjoying the peaceful garden, is a great start to the day. The breakfast was excellent with good choices. and the owners were very friendly and happy to have a chat. the property was close to town and a good location. The bed and room were comfortable and I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanted to stay in the Kerikeri area.

This is an exceptionally clean, tasteful, comfortable, well-appointed, spacious, modern 3-bdrm/1 bath home with laundry, on a quiet road in a life-style block in farm country, about 10-15 minutes from downtown KeriKeri. Entrance was easy. Spoke to Leanne (host) by phone who was very cheerful and lovely. Warm and cozy fireplace. Electric blankets for chilly nights. Brilliant night sky as no lights around (if not cloudy). Beautifully landscaped property.

    - The owner gave me a personalised tour of my apartment - Stay Kerikeri is only a short walk to Kerikeri's CBD - I was able to park right outside my apartment - The apartment was comfortable and the decor was cool and quirky - The artworks on the walls depicted local places and Kiwiana (the last Northland motel I stayed at had photos of Paris and Prague on the walls!!! Why???)

The owners were welcoming and friendly, having only recently taken over the business. It is situated close to Kerikeri, located in a wood with plenty of bird song. We stayed in the African safari tent which had a comfortable bed and was beautifully decorated. It had its own deck overlooking a pond, on which we sat to eat our supper and enjoy a couple of drinks.

We really liked the décor and the location. It was close enough to Kerikeri township for quick trips into town, but far enough in the country to really feel like you're on holiday from the big smoke.
