I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lake Hawae Hotel, and I can't emphasize enough how breathtaking the view from my room was. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with an incredible panorama right from the windows above my bed. Waking up to such a stunning vista was a truly magical experience. And I was thoroughly impressed with the outstanding service provided by the reception staff.

Mentioned that it was our wedding anniversary, and we received a free room upgrade, chocolates and some wine. Also organised flowers to be put in the room that I ordered.

The lake frontage with stunning views of the mountains and lake and choices of eateries catering for vegetarians
Good parking but roadworks made it difficult at times to get around
Would recommend the Big Fig for vegetarians and Charlie Brown for great crepes

A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown.
A wholesome town just outside of Queenstown. I could've stayed here weeks. It was a great location to be based at for Roy's Peak Summit, more hiking and days spent by the lake. Bonus activity was a dinner and movie night at Cinema Paradiso. A really lovely town with a very live-able atmosphere.

Wanaka itself is a lovely spot.
Wanaka itself is a lovely spot. It was lovely without being too much of a tourist trap. The art gallery I visited was very good, and the two local restaurants also good and reasonably priced. The staff at the Thai restaurant were especially friendly and helpful. I wish I had stayed long enough to drive out to a few places from Wanaka.
Hosts Noelene and Bill were very friendly and very helpful.
The apartment is well equipped right down to potato chips, nuts and the free breakfast was amazing, using fresh home grown vegetables.
On arrival we received a chilled wine.
The views from this beautiful apartment
are amazing, high up on the hilltop overlooking Lake Wanaka.
This is value for money. Would highly recommend.
Once again, thank you Noelene and Bill for your amazing hospitality.
This apartment rental is in a separate cottage behind the owner’s house. It has 2 very large and very comfortable rooms. One room is the kitchen/living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a table. The living area has comfortable couches as well as a day bed. The bedroom is extra large with a very comfortable king size bed. The owner was very helpful. This place is located about a 25 minute walk from town.
Pembroke Lodge was very comfortable for our whole family to have an incredible stay in Wanaka.
The lodge is really well positioned only a few minutes walk from the town centre and a minutes walk to the waters edge. The rooms are big and bathrooms and kitchen are really well appointed.
Parking right out front is an added bonus.
Pembroke Lodge is an excellent size with great facilities for a beautiful stay.
- lovely friendly incredibly helpful staff
- rooms were clean with good amenities
- there is a well equipped kitchen attached to the hotel where you can cook your own meals but also a restaurant and cafe attached- both with fantastic food that you can get as room service if you like
- beds were very comfortable
- good location walking distance to all main shops and lake
Really love the hotel and also the staffs are so nice. the location of hotel also a bit near to some bars and lake. For the room, we rent the family type one.The room it self also a bit spacious and clean and they also have electric blanket which my parents like. If you like to cook by your self, they have some cooking utensils like whisks, knife, stove as well
This was an outstanding apartment. It was enormous, clean and well appointed. The outside patio was huge with a dining table for 6 and 2 lounge chairs. The views were spectacular of the lake and mountains. The location was right in town so it was easy to walk to everything. We stayed in 11 hotels during our trip and this was one of our favorites by far.
This was a great stay, easy to find, very well presented.
The house is all to yourself and the bedrooms are very spacious and the double bathroom is a huge win for any families.
5 minute drive into town and various lake entrances.
Facilities were great, comfortable furniture and feels like a home more than a hotel / accommodation.
everything! literally everything. i wish i can come back and stay here again!
-comfortable and warm bed and blankets.
-clean room and toilet
-spacious
-complete kitchenette
-complimentary coffees and teas
-more like a hotel than a budget motel!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The apartment had an incredible view of the lake and had everything we needed for our family holiday. The beds were so comfortable, the kitchen was amazing to cook in and the whole apartment felt luxurious..
Self contained cottage was cute, compact, cosy and clean.
Steve gave us a friendly welcome ably assisted by his canine companion, Beau. The friendly vibe was duplicated at the local hotel where we were greeted as if we were regulars.
Owners were very friendly. Room was clean. Location of the motel is quite close to the Wanaka tree. There is also a self-cleaning car wash facility with brush and hose provided.
Excellent place to stay if your skiing. Short walk to the hotel and the apartment had everything you need. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Will come back again. Many thanks!
