Very nicely run establishment, with 3 styles of accommodation (guest house, cottage and motel). The main building is historic, and character. I stayed in a cottage, which was very well appointed (all good quality) and very charming. Nicer than the pictures. The manager was very welcoming and lovely. The location is great.

This motel was a revelation. I chose it because it was affordable and I wanted to stay in Port Fairy. I was expecting a standard Victorian motel. What we got was a handsome two-storey bluestone building right in the middle of the nicest part of town, with large, luxurious, spotless rooms. The atmosphere was relaxed, the rooms were comfortable and welcoming with no smell of damp. I rarely sleep as well as I did that night.
Port Fairy is a lovely little town. Don't miss the walk out to the river mouth, especially if you can go at dusk when the wallabies congregate. There are rays in the river. After the walk, there's a surprisingly large choice of places to eat. Will be staying here again!

Seacombe House was absolutely delightful and we were greeted by Christine who had turned the heating on in our room ready for us. The room was perfect for two with all mod cons. Dinner at the Caledonian Hotel was fun with live music. Hoping we can back for the Folk Festival in 2025?

Second oldest town in Victoria.
Second oldest town in Victoria. Plus went to the Aboriginal Eel Traps at Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre. Traps are 6,000 years old. Our guide was most informative about their culture. Just brilliant.
Main street has not been spoiled by developments.
A most characterful area and continues down to and along the river.
I like staying in 'old' towns such as this.
Echuca, Castlemain, Creswick, Beechworth, Bright, Yackandanda, Swan Hill, San Remo, etc.

Port Fairy I believe is the best presented village on the Coast in Victoria and perhaps even Australia.
The walk along the River among the fascinating old and quaint homes is truely memorable. We ate at Hotel one evening and very character filled Pizza and Bar restaurant another evening.Best Pizza we have had in years,Port Fairy is a dream to walk around from the River to the Beach to the parks and gardens and generally around main village precinct.Only thing we would avoid is not staying long enough and we could have enjoyed world class golf course.

Port Fairy is a pretty little town.
Port Fairy is a pretty little town. I loved the historic buildings especially the timber cottages. The town is obviously cherished by its inhabitants and pride is taken in its presentation and history. There are some great places to eat in Port Fairy.
We had hoped to do some walking along the path by the river and around Griffith island. My husband has Parkinson’s and uses a walker for balance. We did some walking but we’re limited because the path along the river is broken by stairs to the footbridge over the river and the start of the Griffith island path is wonderful but deteriorates to rough gravel. Port Fairy is an historic and beautiful little town with some gorgeous heritage houses.
We stayed at the Oak & Anchor which we highly recommend.
The surrounding areas and beaches are beautiful with great walking paths around the heads.
Well worth a visit.
A very welcoming place - beautifully renovated and designed with both warmth and practicality in mind. Exceptional personalised service throughout our stay - including delicious breakfasts in the stunning dining room and a dinner there one night also - we were able to bring along two local guests who were very impressed with all the dishes and drinks and especially the friendly, knowledgeable service. We will all be recommending the Drift Hotel as an incredible place to stay in Port Fairy. 5 Stars all round 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Fantastic, warming and welcoming accommodation in a beautiful part of port fairy. Dianne was extremely hospital and thought of everything, even asking what break we liked and left bread and jam etc for when we arrived. Also other little goodies including cookies that my son loved and an amazing port to enjoy. Cottage is beautiful and with amazing gardens and not a far stroll into the centre of town. Would highly recommend.
Located a short walk away from the centre of Port Fairy, Bindi was the perfect spot for our family. Although an older property, it had plenty of space, with two living/dining areas, each with a TV. The showers were hot and the bath towels a generous size. The kitchen was well equipped but no dishwasher (not a problem for us!). We truly appreciated being able to take our dog.
Oscars Waterfront Boutique Hotel is superb with facilities that are clean, comfortable and so welcoming. The care and attention to detail within and around the Hotel and its rooms was well above our expectations. The Hotel's manager Andriana was very friendly and obliging. The breakfasts she prepared were so very tasty and filling.
We have often thought it would great to stay in one of these iconic absolute river frontage houses on Gippsland Street. The ambience is lovely with the boats and river. It is also minutes away from all the central town action, yet very quiet. The renovated bathroom is excellent. There is a rainwater tank, essential in Port Fairy.
We were upgraded fromy original Train Carriage booking to a mobility friendly cabin. The park is right beside the Moyne river and the environment is very quiet. Port Fairy is a great little town, and I would most certainly stay at the Pelican Waters again in future. The hosts were most accomodating for us.
Stunning location best in
Port Fairy. The hosts Berni and Brett had all excellent local knowledge to suggest the best places to eat and visit. We have been visiting Port Fairy staying at different locations and this is head and shoulders above the rest. Weather was perfect for visiting local attractions.
A great hotel with excellent facilities and very helpful friendly staff who paid extra attention to the detail. Perfect location in Port Fairy, close to restuarant's, shops and the nearby beach. Highly recommend for any couple visiting Port Fairy and looking for a high quality hotel at a reasonable cost.
Nice cosy room. Great shower. I liked having a separate kitchen sink for washing dishes instead of using the bathroom. The tv reception was poor but that could have been due to the constant wind. The room was extremely close to the Main Street with cafes, hotels and shopping.
Had a pleasant stay at Port Fairy YHA. The lovely elder gentleman (mentioned works part-time) gave a rundown of the property, gave recommendations for coffee, and what to do in the morning. The room was very cozy and the outside of the hostel had a very lovely area.
Wonderfully designed and renovated hotel. Cool design and very spacious "bridal suite". Friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast provided just around the corner at one of the local cafes. Best place to stay in Port Fairy.
Staff were friendly, location was excellent - close to Griffiths Island and an easy stroll into the town of Port Fairy (which is a delightful place). The breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Position is exceptional for this renovated triple fronted brick veneer property 150 metres from Port Fairy’s Eastern Beach, surfing, swimming, bird watching. Pet friendly, comfortable,
Very nice accommodation, comfy bed and great location. Wend to the Caledonia pub, which is right next door, for dinner, excellent meal. Port Fairy is a lovely, quaint town.
The view, direct beach access, pet friendly, private, warm and relaxing.Loved that there was a secure section for our little dog.
