This is absolutely my favorite spot to vacation .. the people, the beaches, the weather .. it is just so beautiful. At no time did I ever feel unsafe. We took buses, taxis, and walked places and had no problems at all. Xcaret is a must - the wildlife and natural beauty is breath taking. We ate at our resorts most of the time, but we did go to a couple little taco spots. Everything was good. We visited Juarez Beach, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and ventured to some cenotes. The people are absolutely awesome and truly treat you like "familia" if you show them you are interested in them and their culture.

Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. During our trip we visited Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun.
The 2nd day we took an amazing snorkeling tour in PC and the 3rd day we went to Xcaret…the most amazing place that has everything. My favorite part…Mexico Spectacular Show 😍😍😍!
The last 2 day in Cancun we stayed in the hotel and its beach and we had a walk to the night club area and restaurants.
We did something different everyday, including where and how we ate. Some days we cooked in our hotels because it’s pretty easy to get groceries or to eat in a local market!
We were really tired the last days but I didn’t want to go back home yet, I still wake up at home wishing I could go out to enjoy that surprisingly spectacular landscape!
Everybody can see there’s never enough time to know everything The Riviera Maya offers!!

Cancun is beautiful.
Cancun is beautiful. The beaches are amazing and the nightlife was so fun. I enjoyed the street food and drinking margaritas. Be selective of where you book your stay. My hotel was unfriendly (Adhara Hacienda) to me. They ruined my trip. Do not book here!

Be aware that some places in Cancun are getting a tourist trap. The city is getting more and more visited and some areas are fully packed and impossible to get though. Chose carefully your stays and beaches to visit (north is always a good option)

I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again.
I would not book Moon Palace through booking.com again. Using an intermediary meant communication with the hotel was very poor. We were giving a booking number, which the hotel acknowledged, but the app didn't, which meant using the app for pre check in wasnt possible. Payment was taken without notification of how much (it was the full amount) or exactly when. The transfer to the hotel from the airport was a bad start to the holiday. It was difficult to find the bus stop ( local taxi drivers directed us), and the Moon Palace staff were not very helpful or pleasant at the airport. My son and his family on a different flight were told they weren't on the list, and to get a taxi. The hotel later insisted they were a 'no show' and refused to reimburse their cost of the taxi. Turns out despite booking and paying with the hotel directly, they never received an email with any directions. Without these difficulties, this would have been a glowing recommendation, as staff at the Sunrise, and facilities were exceptionally good.
Very comfortable studio with more than I needed for my short stay. Bus stop for the beaches (zona hotelera) is minutes away and was way more easier to use than I thought (12 pesos or 1$ at the moment) - just look for the Walmart not far away. If you have travelled around Mexico you know the concept of “Plunge Pool” - this is kind of pool to be expected there and perfect to cool off. CheDraui and Walmart not far away to stock up on sun lotion and food. Won’t hesitate to come back here when I have a stop in Cancun.
The location is suitable for people who want the vibe of a hotel with a personal touch. There's a small kitchenette with salt, pepper and oil. They also have pots, plates and cutleries to make it easy to make a meal yourself. It is self-service, so you're given a code, and once you come in, you sort everything else yourself. There is no room service available. They have a fridge with some water and drinks available. The area is close to the airport in Cancun. It is a good value for money.
great hotel, perfect location walking distance to night clubs and night life, or the hotel offered many activities and events. we enjoyed a Halloween party and they really out did themselves, best Halloween party. all inclusive had great advantage like not having to Carry a wallet unless you like to tip staff. In comparison it seemed our hotel was one of the best and newest. only adults you won’t see any kids. food wise agave, and steak house and pool tacos/nachos where good.
Everything was amazing: friendly staff, modern rooms, the beautiful garden, nice breakfast. And they are still expanding the Hotel!! 🥹
This hotel is perfect when you want to have a nice stay for example when traveling for business, avoid the overpriced and overcrowded zona hotellera, or after landing / before departure at/from Cancun airport. You can really relaxx here since it is quiet and you will get all the comfort of a great hotel at a good price tag.
A charming boutique hotel in a good location, just off the main hotel zone. Easy access to Isla Mujeres, Cancun city centre and the shops and restaurants of the hotel zone. Stunning lagoon views from many rooms and pool area. The rooftop terrace served drinks in the evenings at sunset, which was a nice surprise. Morning coffee is available at the hotel and breakfast can be bought at the shop around the corner. A warm recommendation for this hotel!
We loved how close it was to the airport and so many good places, such as restaurants, shopping mall, etc. It has a small convenience store inside. We loved the beach, and how we could make it our meeting point for friends and family that were staying at nearby hotels (Oasis Palm). Has a decent water park for extra cost, and nice balconies. We loved this place, if we are ever back in Cancun we would definitely return here.
Great value for money, although I wouldn't give it 5 star. The location is great, the hotel itself is a little bit old but well maintained. The rooms are big and comfy. The all inclusive was great and there were many restaurants to choose from except the buffet, Italian, French, Japanese etc. The beach was clean, but the location of Cancun is very windy, so you cannot really swim. The room service was great.
Monica and her team made us feel really welcome, everything was nice and clean. There were bathrobes, slippers, beach bags and candles there for us. Breakfast was really exceptional. Although it's not in the hotel zone, we felt safe, the neighbourhood gave off real Cancun vibes, there were people dancing and singing every night. It was a bit hard to find the entrance, so it's recommended to use Google Maps.
The hotel has the most beautiful beach. Our family loved it.
We did the stay without all inclusive as we were primarily out and about for the majority of the day. We did dine in on the first night and the food was ok. They have a store in the hotel we're you can buy snacks, drinks and it was extremely convenient.
Great location away from hotel zone. Serene setting. Superb staff and facilities. All inclusive. Preferred club amazing. Clean rooms with comfy beds. Option for in room pool. Nice shower and amenities. Everything on site: activities, food, shopping, beach, large public pool. No need to go outside.
Great location in the parties area, the staff are very friendly, specially Zanabria. He is a good server at the dinner restaurants. My room had a nice sea view and very clean. The resort is very clean and 4 beautiful pools. I stayed there for 5 days as a VIP all inclusive. I love Cancún.
The food choice is amazing, the staff is super hospitable and polite, ready to help at once. The territory is very beautiful, and so many activities that you always have smth new to try. I’ve been to many all inclusive 5 stars, this one really impressed me, I will definitely come back!!
Well-located hostel in the party area of Cancun Hotel Zone. Always felt safe and welcome. They offer nice, spacious private rooms as well! Hostel has lots of parties going on, so you‘re never alone. There is even a crocodile visiting the fence every once in a while..! :-)
I think the hotel has one of the cleanest and nicest beach area out of all other hotels in Cancun. The rooms are ok, a tad dated. The food was diverse and good for an all inclusive resort. It's also only a 20 mins car ride from the airport.
It was a bit confusing when we arrived at the hotel it was closed ,but admin was waiting for us and taxi took us to a different Oasis Palm hotel with all inclusive. Hotel was very nice and big, food amazing and staff very kind and helpful.
This place is perfect ,budget friendly all inclusive hotel..The location is beautiful and have amazing ocean view, also the food is delicious and also offers many activities and shows to entertain their guest..
The staff of the hotel were very nice and helpful for me to settle my problem, I am very appreciated it. The hotel is near the ADO bus terminal, so it is convenient to get to CANCUN airport.
Clean and comfortable rooms with modern design. Buffet food was better than most all inclusive hotels I've stayed at. Food and drinks in restaurants were delicious. Loved room service option.
I choose the hotel because it was ALL INCLUSIVE (Free drinks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, all day/night); upon arrival reception told me it was only Breakfast. I changed hotels.
All inclusive is the way to go! Clean pool and beach, nice weather, great restaurants and great food. Will come again with family. Thank you to Occidental costa Cancun..
