A modern city and yet the pace is not as hurried as others.
A modern city and yet the pace is not as hurried as others. Clean, pretty and convenient to move around. Nice museums (Art, History, Natural History) and an impressive public library next to the museum, in addition to the historic districts that many tourist agencies rave about.

Tianjin is very underrated, and at just 30 minutes from Beijing I think it should be more popular. The river, the foreign concessions, and the modern buildings inspired by them, make the city feel very European, and we love wandering around the foreign concessions and the streets of the Wudadao area, getting coffee in the many different cafes. There's also Ancient Culture Street, which isn't ancient but has plenty of culture, the China House which is amazing to see from the outside (haven't been inside yet), the Confucius Temple, the Tianjin Eye, walks along the riverbank... lots to see and do here!

Tianjin is an absolutely amazing city, a great destination for a weekend getaway from busy Beijing and also absolutely worth visiting for travelers from elsewhere.
Tianjing is very relaxed and the rives makes for a great walk during day and night, with Colonial architecture most of the way up and down the riverside. You can also ride bikes down there so whenever you don't feel like walking, a rental bike is a great alternative to get around.
The Italian quarter around the Marco Polo Square is great for food, very touristy but nice to sit outside on the patios when the weather allows for it.
The Ancient Cultural Street offers a wide variety of Chinese art, souvenirs and food.
There are not too many tourist attractions in Tianjin but it is a great destination to relax for one or two days after staying in some of the busier cities in China.

Love wandering around the streets of beautiful European buildings (Tianjin is a former foreign concession).
We ate at Pizza Bianca in the stadium and although it looked really nice the pizza was disappointing, not much flavour at all. I recommend the rich Coconut Cake for dessert though!

Amazing city.
Amazing city. People are cordial and friendly and they speak English, the common language of communication. It’s extremely clean and easy to walk around. A jewel of a city with plenty to do. A long river walk very clean where people jog, walk, fish or just sit and watch life. I would move here in a heartbeat.
Fantastic location. Overlooking the HaiHe River. The hotel opens up onto the riverside, where you can sit for drinks in the evening with beautiful views. A great local and continental breakfast with lots of choices. There is a huge mall directly opposite the hotel and plenty of local back-street shopping. If you fancy a river cruise, the Da Bei Jiang Warf is only about 10 minutes drive from the hotel. The gym and swimming facilities were very good and the staff were amazing, all spoke English.
The suite was absolutely sensational, we’ll never stay anywhere so luxurious again! The club lounge incudes set times for every meal so no need to eat out. Excellent food. Club also included 2 clothing items to be ironed and taxi journeys within 3km. All staff did an excellent job at were very helpful. Location is fantastic and very central to the city, roughly a 15 minute taxi to the Tianjin Eye and Tianjin rail station. Wi-Fi speed.
It is a beautiful hotel located right in the center of the city. We have chosen it because we want to experience a Ritz stay in China. We are not disappointed. The hotel building itself is superb and historical. All details are taken care of, from the luxurious lobby to the rooms. The staff are highly amiable and ready to help at any time. The breakfast is the best we've had during our stay in China.
The hotel in excellent condition, nice and clean. The room we had was spacious and comfortable. The staffs were courteous and helpful. We had hotel breakfast every day. We had many many things to choose from, traditional Chinese food and western breakfast. We enjoyed the stay.
The location was really convenient. There is a good restaurant right near the entrance of the hotel and the subway station is next doors. Also the staff was quite helpful and friendly. Hope to stay there the next time I am in Tianjin.
Great location. There are a lot of great food near the apartment. Especially Traditional Tianjin cuisine. The host gave detail info how to get to the apartment and gave quick respond to my enquiry.
This place give you the great location. just 5 min walk to the most famous Tianjin Old town travel spots. The space is more than enough, plus the kitchen that makes you feel like a local.
We were welcomed by incredibly friendly staff. The entire hotel is immaculately clean and smells amazing. The food was great too. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!
I liked the breakfast and the location. For the short that I was in Tianjin, it served its purpose, no doubt about that. I recommend this hotel for a short stay
