Half a day is all it takes to spend in styer .. it looks like the town is one major old street from the middle ages , some coffee place and general shopping. The big attractions is the place where the two rivers merge . It's unique and beautiful

Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see.
Steyr is a wonderful small town, with plenty to see. Lots of beautiful nature, but also the incredible old town center. It's really easy to get around on foot, with lots of walkable streets and alleys to discover. I was really impressed by the beautiful architecture of the old catholic churches, which were absolutely breathtaking on the inside. The only thing I would prepare for better next time around is the everchanging weather. A good pair of waterproof shoes, an umbrella and layered clothing for easy removal is a must.

The lovely old town is full of character.
The lovely old town is full of character. Plenty of pleasant strolls possible. We would have enjoyed some cultural offering, but we noted that the few concerts performed in Steyr are fairly rare. We were there on a Monday, which is not a good day anywhere for concerts, but our checking showed that even on other days we would have been lucky indeed to find a performance.

Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria.
Steyr is one of the old historic towns of Austria. It´s beautifully located along the River Enns. It´s certainly worth a visit and you can easily spend a nice day or two exploring the town and its surroundings! It´s only a short drive of approximately 40 km from Linz, which is the seat of Upper Austria.
The Staff were extremely obliging and very pleasant, and any request was met with a positive response. Breakfast was served in a charming room overlooking the historic town centre, and the choice on offer for food was a well-presented buffet. I had a large bedroom overlooking the cobbled historic Steyr streets to the front of the hotel, this was quiet at night but during the day it was a hive of activity. There is plenty to do and see in Steyr and the hotel is very central and within easy walking of bars, restaurants, shops and cafes.
I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and was very satisfied. The hotel staffs were all friendly and kind, and they always did their best to satisfy my needs. The room was very quiet, clean and very well organized, with everything I needed and nothing I didn't need. Toilet and bathroom were also good to use, and bed was quite comfortable. Breakfast was simple, but tasty.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Steyr. Above else great people and service, a fabulous location - and the most beautiful view facing the confluence. Great breakfast with a spectacular view. I've been traveling to Steyr for 12 years now - and I choose to stay in Minichmayer.
Great location, just outside the historic city center. Easy access by car and reasonably priced underground parking. Groceries and other shops in the same building as the hotel. Friendly staff, clean and quiet room, comfortable beds. Good internet access.
A very nice and spacious family run hotel on the outskirts of Steyr (10-15 min walk to the centre).
Very nice room, comfortable and extremely clean.

I stay at Mader quite a lot for work and the hotel itself is very nice. Excellent food, very friendly staff and most of the rooms have all the necessary facilities to make you comfortable and the location is perfect.
Stadthotel Styria was exceptional! We stayed in the Family Apartment, which was really more like an individual townhouse. We had a ton of space and loved being in a 500 year old historical property. Highly recommend.
Excellent breakfast and the main restaurant is good quality. Very friendly staff and they all speak English. Did I say very picturesque location in the Steyr main street (Stadplatz). Home from home for me.
I've stayed here a number of times in the last 10 years and though it's a traditional hotel, the service is consistent and the location is great for doing business in the town centre.
The location was perfect. The hotel is a unique property combines several old buildings. It is a good mix of old and new feel. Very carefully thought out design
