Goa is love. Beaches, cafes, crowd.. everything is so good. Water sports are fun , we stayed in Eraya itvara villa in arpora and they have arranged doodhsagar trip for us, and it was amazing . The MERCURE Old Goa Retreat was beautiful, on an island, no noise, no horns blaring, no motorbikes, property uses golf carts, pool is terrific, grounds are beautiful, my room was exquisitely finished, buffet dinner was great, SPA Massage and steam excellent. Hated Baga, dirty, noisey, crowded, crasse, will never return to Baga or Calangute

History has made this a very special place.
History has made this a very special place. The churches remain, but the city in which they were located is gone. The churches are well-maintained and there is information about them. Busses from Panaji are frequent, but ask at the bus station because it's easy to end up on the wrong bus there. Short taxi ride from Karmali station.

When we had problems with the internet staff were there within 5 minutes to set up a router in our room to resolve that. Similarly when the desk chair proved faulty it was replaced quickly. The Breakfast was varied and very tasty. The location was within walking distance (about 2-3 kms) of Old Goa sites, which made for a pleasant day wandering around there.
