Hotel Alcatruz, hotel in Aljezur

Hotel Alcatruz is a modern property that offers beach-themed rooms. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

Very helpful staff. Clean room, everything worked well. The highlight was the breakfast. Wonderful choice with everything from fresh fruit, cereals, cooked breakfast, selection of breads and pastries. The hotel is under the same management as a highly successful bakery next door. WiFi worked well. Parking outside the hotel. Good location for coastal walk and travelling North-South along the coast south of Lisbon.

Hotel Vale Da Telha, hotel in Aljezur

Small and peaceful, this hotel is a great place to relax and explore the sandy beaches of Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It offers an outdoor pool with a spacious sun deck.

The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable with the best bed linens and towels we'd had on our Rota Vicentina trip so far. The Moroccan decor was interesting and different from other places we'd stayed in. The pool area seemed to be a work in progress as it was early in the season but we still enjoyed the lounge chairs and sun. The breakfast which was included was extensive and delicious. The staff was helpful, assisting us to book a taxi to our next destination (day off hiking).

Herdade Monte Do Sol, hotel in Aljezur

Situated in Aljezur within the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park, this hotel offers self-catering villas with private terraces, hammocks, and views of the sea and countryside.

The hospitality and communication from the host were fabulous. Sofia answered any questions I had promptly prior to our arrival. The room was exceptionally clean and the homely touches were most welcome. The breakfast was well catered and gluten free items were not an issue. We particularly enjoyed the rural feel to the location and the animals at the property were gorgeous and included horses, dogs and chickens. There was also a playground for children as well as a pool so this was a very family friendly place as well.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin. nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town. there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.

    We hope to return.

We hope to return. The presence of an active cultural life was important for us. We felt like we were in a town and region alive and not just a tourist setting. By the way, asking these questions in English also, would be helpful.

What I liked is that it is truly a get away from the busier touristy parts of Portugal. What I didn't like is that google maps has its location for a national park located in the middle of a farm that has sand on the surrounding roads that are easy to get stuck in.

If you want to explore the west coast of Portugal Aljezur is a good choice for a stop over. We travelled from the south and beaches we visited on our way were spectacular. Going North this morning it was equally as good.

Situated ideally between Monte Clerico and Arifana, this accommodation offers prime access to two of the main surfing beaches. With restaurants and shops easily reachable by car, its location is highly convenient. The host, Helen, who lives nearby, is extremely accommodating and always ready to assist if any need arises. The property has a refreshing pool, sunny till approximately 6 p.m., and a charming roof terrace. Guests can also enjoy a barbecue setup. The space is well-equipped, from a two-bedroom layout to a kitchen and bathroom.

The person from the agency was very communicative and friendly. The villa is magnificent with beautiful views and is located at a short walk to the beach. It is very well equipped. There is lots of space for a great stay. The area has very beautiful beaches and countryside for great walks. There are shops in the village nearby (car is needed). Several restaurants are at walking distance. The neighbourhood is very calm. We would definitely come back! The airconditioning can be used for heating during the winter.

Great place for a night while travelling down the coast. Busy surf beach down a switchback road walking distance from the hotel. Great restaurants within walking distance. The room is spotlessly clean. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen, dining table, and sitting area to make the place home if you plan to stay longer. Rita was great at communicating about my arrival and making sure I had everything I needed. Lots of street parking nearby. Definitely recommend.

The eye for detail at Amaria & the aesthetics of the entire property are truly amazing. The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had at hotels (including gluten free options and freshly baked cakes). The staff is very kind and you can see they really love the property. The cool is amazing, she made us a home made dinner with one of the best Focaccia’s I’ve had. We will 100% come back! Location is close to Aljezur and Odexeice both great places to visit in the region!

Great stay at Villa Sound of the Sea with family. Fantastic luxury accommodation with lots of nice extras such as on site gym and hot tub. Very private space suitable for the whole family (we were 4x adults and 2x kids). Everyone had a great time. Matt was available whenever needed and very attentive. We arrived late after a long flight and were greeted with essentials - bread, milk, juice etc…even a kinder egg for both kids and beer & wine for the adults!

Alvaro, Sophie and Daniella are an absolutely incredible and joyous family and hosts. Their property is one of the most quaint, relaxing, cozy and peaceful atmospheres I have been lucky enough to visit. I recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a quiet, nature filled, cozy stay and it’s minutes away from picturesque beaches, coastal hikes, delicious vegan-friendly dining and lots of calming wildlife.

Lovely, relaxing place to stay in the middle of Aljezur’s green nature. At arrival, Joana gave us a warm welcome and guided tour. The accommodation we booked consisted of a tent with a double bed and 2 single beds, which made it a super large place. Outside was the ecological toilet and shower, which was a real revelation. We felt like reborn after only two nights connecting with nature. Great recommendation!

Problem-free check in and check out. Very helpful host. Nicely decorated apartment with great view over Aljezur. Super peaceful surroundings. Almost private street. Well equipped kitchen (there was even a lunchbox to pack some snacks into). Overall great spot with just minutes away from a bakery, restaurants, groceries. Short drive to nearby beaches. Would happily stay there again.

The breakfast is really great and the beds super confortable. The bathroom was brand new. The "hand made" decoration is amazing and contribute to the nice atmosphere of the hotel, together with the friendly and helpfull and easy going staff. Large garden around (nice for kids and 4 legs friends) and padel court next conner.
