The hotel is located on the outskirts of the village but ample parking was provided. Ideal place for someone who wants to stay away from the hassle and buzzle of some Algarve tourist towns. Restaurants and supermarket in the nearby village (Luz) are a 15 minutes walk away. The gardan and pool are nicely maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Quiet neighborhood, very high standard, spacious and comfortable room with all that you need, friendly and cordial hosts - doing there best to make your stay memorable (hinting where to go, what to see, recommending restaurant tips, etc.). and the best part - AMAZING breakfast, changing daily, fresh and tasty. We definitely put on some weight due to that :D

If you want a quieter vacation without lots of people then Luz is great. There were sufficient places to eat good selection and service with a great view. It was an elegant location. We found a restaurant just out of town that was great value and excellent service.

Luz is a lovely old town on the coast now mostly given over to villas and holiday rentals. Nice coastal walks to Lagos.
We didn't love the restaurants, catering too much for the British I would think. Football showing everywhere.

We like the views along from the pagoda along the promenade and the beach and the variety of cafes and restaurants. Both the supermarkets are good and the bus service is reliable for getting both East and West along the coast.

Luz is a very beautiful beach town with really great amenities. The views of the beach and cliffs are really beautiful. The promenade along the seafront is a marble cobblestone walkway with cafes and restaurants. Small market stalls for trinkets. The restaurants in Luz are top quality and my favourites are ZaZu and Latitude. During high season it is good to book.
There are 2 lots of beach concessions with sun beds and umbrellas. We were always on the beach by 9.30 but beds were Normally all taken by 10am.
Luz is a very family resort and very popular.
I wouldn’t recommend Luz to anyone with mobility issues as it is quite hilly.
Excellent communications with Estrela da Luz prior to our arrival with special requests which were met in full.
Great Check In with Vitor and Ines on Reception and delight at size and cleanliness of our One Bedroom Apartment.
Welcome Pack as ordered and Kitchen had every conceivable appliance and gadget. Breakfast by Pool with more Friendly Staff and loads of space at the Adult Only Pool - what's not to like. Very reasonable prices at the Pool Bar and attentive Pool Guards who also sanitised the Sun Loungers. Superb!
Having stayed at another property at Baia da Luz , we were certainly not disappointed with this excellent 2bedroom apartment
Communication with the owners is excellent and nothing to much is a problem
If you haven’t experienced this complex before you are missing out ....... location , accommodation quality, cleanliness, amenities, security
are all first class
Our first beach holiday with our grandchildren they loved everything the resort had to offer
The place is more like an old spanish fashion mansion than a hotel. Swimming pool is nice, there are activities (table tennis, biliard, dvd) to do even if weather is not good. Breakfast was good, with a lot of homemade cake. Of course you need a car because it's not far from Luz or Lagos ( a few minutes drive) but you can't walk anywhere from the hotel.
You could not get closer to the beach . Luz is a very quite place after 10pm all the bars and restaurants close in the beach area. It has some good restaurants a very good beach . The accommodation is good, comfortable all you could ask. I was not overly keen on the spiral stairs but other than that spot on..
Loved the pool and the view and the town. It was a bit above the town so requires a boot walk up and down the hill to get to the beach and restaurants, which was fine with us but may not be optimum for people who want to be right in the action. We adored the town of Luz!
The hotel is always great value for money and very well placed near the beach. Having access to several pools to laze around is warmly received, unlike the cool water ;)
I am a repeat customer and have always appreciated feeling welcome during my stay.
a small sea resort located in a sea-view quiet residential area, walking distance from the Luz village. Very comfortable room, two nice swimming pools, a pleasant garden and a bar/bistrot area, where a very good breakfast is served in the morning
The property is beautiful and the apartments are comfortable. We were close to shopping and the beaches. We didn't use the breakfast room but other people seemed to enjoy it. We would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to the area.
Best hotel I have stayed at in Portugal! Great room, balcón with sea view and ample breakfast at a really affordable price. The beach was beautiful, terrific restaurant and bars by the sea nearby and it's the cleanest place in Portugal.
A beautiful place to spend your vacations in Portugal. Super clean and really good for families. The host is super friendly and attentive and react to request super quickly. Can’t wait to stay here on my next visit to Luz
Wonderful holiday village, newly renovated, in a beautiful botanical garden at the amazing coastline between Luz en Burgao. Just paradise. Best breakfast ever! We were in low season, village was very relaxed!
The location was perfect, less than 10 minutes from Luz and Lagos city centres, yet isolated in the middle of the countryside. Very nice pool and spacious room, nice rustic buildings.
View from the balcony was the best. Plenty of space in the house itself. It was very clean. Great location near plenty of restaurants and a couple of grocery stores.
it’s a beautiful property. Serene and very clean and very close to Luz which is adorable. We really liked the rooms - spacious, comfortable and elegantly designed.
Wonderful breakfast, one of the best of our 30-night trip. Very nice room with a balcony. Property had so many fun things to do, wish we could have stayed longer.
