We have a very good time at this hotel.
The staff was very kind with us. We've been able to rent a motorbike from the hotel and even they took us to the jetty when we left very early in the morning.
It's a fantastic option for the price you pay. Room was clean, we had extra towels when we ask for them, and he location was extraordinary. The island is small so it's wasn't hard to get everywhere, but you have a 7 eleven, a 24h laundry and few restaurants and duty free shops by the hotel. Also, the beach it's about 5-10 min walking from there so, again, for that amazing price, I don't think you can expect more.
Please, don't forget where you are and the standards there. The island receive mostly local tourism. You won't ever find western standards for that price anywhere in Malaysia.
So pleased with the staff and with our time in the premises. I would repeat.
OYO 1194 Best Stay Hotel Pangkor is a 5-minute walk from the town centre. It offers free Wi-Fi and water sports facilities.

Difficult to give a detailed review as we arrived at the start of Ramadan which lasted a month
Most of the stalls and restaurants were closed as were the beach activities
Minimarket and duty free shops open
Daddy's cafe on coral beach was by far the best place for Western food and cocktails
The hotels mainly offered limited choices but mainly catered or Chinese and malays
Not too many people about apart from groups of indians and Chinese, a bit noisy at times so avoid.
Overall beaches were pretty deserted.
A few plastic bottles and rubbish washed up during the day but beaches were swept up each day
Cheap and easy to get around by taxi or motorbike
No public transport

have to rent chairs at the beach to sit and relax.
car rentals were abit expensive and they give us the car with reserve tank of petrol for the start.
motor bikes are convenient but dangerous of falling and injury during your holiday enjoyment unless u know to ride bike well.
all souveniers are expensive as this is a tourist island unless u are good at bargaining

Like the nature, serenity, wildlife, interior and architectural design. The buffet was good but the Chinese restaurant had been overrated. The Chinese cuisine was average. There wasn't any delicate fresh seafood which would be great to have on such a beautiful private island. In addition, you can't swim due to jelly fish. However, this wasn't a big issue as there was a pool right by the beach

An island with beautiful beaches which still maintains its nature. Not too commercialized and limited no of cars on the island reduces the pollution, giving you clean, fresh air.
Since the island is declared as free duty zone, overnight visitors have the option to shop for duty free items especially imported chocolate at a cheaper price than the mainland.
The island is also famous for dried anchovies (ikan bilis mata biru) which is most sought by Malaysians

Horrible, they charged me for an extra bed, which was the sofa in the room, they put cover sheet and pillow, around 65% of my reservation.
A bad waste water smell was always in the area in the garden villas, I feel like living in sewage factory, not in a hotel.
1. Owner are awesome
2. Brand new hotel
3. Small But have So many things to offer - balcony for family room, kettle, mineral water, tea coffee, hair dryer, toiletries, towel and indoor swimming pool..
4. Walkable distance to beach - 5 to 10 mins
5. The beach not So happening like Teluk Nipah. Its the best for those who like more calm and quite place. Personally i prefer here than Teluk Nipah.
5. If you want to go island hopping pls go to Teluk Nipah, its a lot more cheaper than the nearby provider the hotel
The apartment is a two room apartment with a king size bed and 2 single beds. The owner added two additional mattresses for our booking. It is a small and cosy and super clean place. Clean towels were provided. The added benefit was the owner was very kind in assisting in everyway from information upon arrival at the Lumut jetty to getting to her apartment. She also advised us in getting around Pangkor island and places to eat.
when we enter the lobby, the front office is ready to greet us with a smile and welcome, the check-in process is very easy and the staff is very polite, the rooms chosen are very tasteful, complete with amenities and facilities, the hotel is really easy to get to places interesting surroundings, house keeping and IRD are very helpful, I am very satisfied with this hotel and will come again in the future.
They provided a great breakfast which included hot Malaysian food and excellent fruit (specially cooking celiac friendly for me).
Upon check out they drove us down the steep hill with our luggage which saved a lot of pain.
Organised a known taxi driver to take us around the island for a tour and who also too us to the ferry on the last day.
We enjoyed the pool to cool off at the end of the day.
The personal is super nice, the landlord himself helped us to booked a boat.
The habitation made in wood is beautiful, the swimming pool big and there is also a big terrace with monkeys !
About the location, we rented a scooter at the port but the hotel also rent some ! Scooters is necessary at Pangkor, everything is very close.
We book 2 rooms, the rooms are understandably small as this is a budget hotel. The room that I stayed has issue with the aircond, but it is sufficiently cooling the room. The toilet is big enough and quite comfortable. The mattress is also comfortable. The hotel is clean. It is actually within walking distance to Pantai Bogak.
I love the food! I love that breakfast each day was different so I definitely did not get bored. I also enjoyed pasar malam, it was a very neat experience. The facial and massage that my husband and I got was the best we've ever had! It was absolutely beautiful and we've enjoyed our honeymoon in Pangkor Laut Resort
The location was nice and had amazing service!
Right as we went through the doors the owner was extremely nice and had a wonderful ambiance.
The elevator and throughout the hotel was very clean and felt new even, 3 months new to be specific.
Very sad to leave, had a great stay at Pangkor.
Full of privacy, quiet and feel very relaxing. It's the right place to those who living busy life style, especially the owner who guide us , it's was our first visit to this island and he really give us a lot of information to help plan the jurney more easy. I strongly recommend.
Stayed in two seavillas - in the sea and riht next to the jungle
Good organisation with boat transfer , luggage, etc...
Perfect shuttle service on the island
incredible beach and great large pools.
Great jungle walk with very experienced guide.
the bathrooms were amazing
Nice, clean environment, attractive lanscape and friendly, helpful host and staff. I would definately recommend this accomodation for anyone to relax while in Pulau Pangkor.
The location over the water was absolutely beautiful and on the quiet part of the island. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was delicious.
Awesome experience and the owner was very helpful to support providing all the required information about the facility, island and even how to get there step by step.
