As the financial capital of Switzerland and headquarters of several large companies including FIFA, there’s a good chance that if you’re in Zurich you’re here on business. But that doesn’t mean this city doesn’t have a playful side.

Zurich is a beautiful lake city and many great locales are within reach. You can visit Jungfraujoch, Mt. Titlis, Mt. Pilatus, Lucerne, Heidiland. One can also visit the Rhine Falls and neighboring countries such as Germany and Liechtenstein. There are many convenient day trips from Zurich by coach. You get good food everywhere. This was an overnight stop only as part of trip to Budapest. The hotel was of a good standard with modern , clean bedroom. Bar area is open to residents only on 24 hour basis if you have a mind . Bar was not noisy or disruptive. Breakfast was good continental fayre with plenty of selection. Would recommend on my experience.

Zürich is beautiful! The food is wonderful. We found the people super friendly. Its a no-stress destination for travellers, everything is exactly as promised. Its also easy to get around - great tram and train service. You don't expect Switzerland to be cheap, and it wasn't, but most of the activities are either free or modestly priced. There is a very reasonable short boat tour you can do on the lake, and the funicular to the top of the hill is scenic and reasonably practice. Best place to stay: in the Niederdorf area.

We loved our boat cruise on Lake Zurich. It had a food bistro with table service and you sit inside or our. The views were lovely. Although we only window shopped it was fascinating strolling along The Bahnhofstrasse. Also highly recommend taking a trip to the Rhine Falls. The hotel was very well positioned in the old town, an easy walk to the station and other facilities. Just around the corner from the lovely river and a street full of restaurants. The Sechseläutenn Festival was on whilst we were there which gave the city a happy celebratory vibe even though it was raining.

From the big train station it is very easy to take a day trip to the capital, Bern. It is an hour road and the old town there is really nice. Also try the day trip to Loucerne. There is a travel agency called "Best of Switzerland", the parking lot is really close to the hotel, i would highly recommend the excursion to the Titlis mountain, Alps. I will never forget that in my life. Zurich is very nice, the walk by the river to the start of the lake is great.
