We didn’t have dinner unfortunately but breakfast was delicious!
The little touches were lovely… old fashioned shot drink, fresh shortbread and chocolates.

All staff were very welcoming and attentive. They even cooked a meal for me after the chef had left for the night. The restaurant waiter was a very courteous and efficient young man. The breakfast was huge and served quickly.

Laundry service a little $$.
Breakfast was really good and service was good.

Dornoch is such a wonderful town.
Dornoch is such a wonderful town. I was amazed by the architecture from various periods but the Georgian and Edwardian stood out and looked stunning in red sandstone! The castle hotel bar is a must see, also the cathedral where Madonna got married to Guy Ritchie and also Elon Musk got married there too! The beech walks and also the Golf course, rated as the number 1 golf course in Scotland (I spoke to golfers at this festival who gave me their honest opinions) with a links style supposedly better than St Andrews! Although I was there for the local whisky festival, the people were so pleasant and made you feel so welcome and the hotel/ pubs were outstanding with the accompanying food menu's were superb.

Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach.
Pretty town with a lovely long sandy beach. The Museum and Heritage Trail are very interesting and well worth the time. The cathedral is worth a visit and there are some interesting shops to explore. And we noticed an electric car charging point! We only stayed one night but it would have been better to have stayed for two as we didn't have enough time to visit all the attractions.

Very enjoyable, staying in a castle felt special and exclusive and staff were friendly and professional. The food was amazing and also special. Dornoch itself has lovely shops and the Castle Hotel is right in the centre with its own parking.
Dee and Nigel were very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and modern. Breakfast was delicious and customer service exceptional. We would definitely stay there again, and recommend to our friends. The outdoor country atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. So nice to have a gathering room and breakfast area where our three couples could gather together in the evening and mornings, to plan out the day and brag about our golf experience.
We were gifted our stay by our family gif my husbands 70th birthday and could not fault it. The room was clean and well laid out, beds were comfortable and the food was very tasty. Staff were amazing and the owner even took us to one of the local distilleries due to a limited taxi service in the area; this was again a present for my husbands birthday.
we would definitely recommend this gem of a hotel
WELL WE CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT IN ARE YEARS OF TRAVELLING , THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST B&B WE HAVE STAYED IN !!!!!!! CLEANLINESS WAS 2ND TO NONE & THE FOOD & SERVICE WAS 5 STAR HOTEL MATERIAL . The location is superb for what we wanted it for...the golf course! Less than five minutes walking and you're on the course. The cottage is lovely, in a quiet area with easy access to everything you'd need. Around a ten minute walk into Dornoch. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked with everything you need to cook for yourself.
Hotel very well located in Dornoch, with charming conservatory restaurant overlooking the golf course and sea. Welcoming, kind and efficient staff. Excellent menu, all courses very nicely prepared. Breakfast selection equally agreeable, all produce very fresh. Bedroom and bathroom very clean and well appointed.
The cabin was extremely clean, nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was clean and high quality. It's very close to Dornoch for all the amenities that you could possibly need, but there is also a garage and restaurant directly across the road. Will definitely be back.
Beautiful period property with original features. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room or the lovely full works breakfast ! Lovely 5 mins stroll into the centre of Dornoch and a bonus that straight from the property we were on the path of a lovely long walk down to Embo beach
Dornoch is a nice town. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel bar and restaurant are nice. Don't miss the Dunrobin Castle just a few miles North. They have parking spaces in the courtyard and in front.
Convenient town center location that allows for all you need to sustain yourself before and after golf. Literally less than 400 yards from Royal Dornoch and all the food, drink, personal sundries, and sustenance you need.
Beautiful, luxurious hotel in stunning location. Very professional, friendly staff. Rooms exceptionally clean and comfortable. Evening meals and breakfast delicious with great choice of dishes. Would definitely recommend!
Quiet location, everything needed was catered for. Comfortable cabin, friendly park managers and neighbors.
Wine and shortbread was a bonus. DVD's and books were well received.
Easy distance to Dornoch and beyond.
Hotel looked slightly tired on the outside but there has been a lot of upgrade work been carried out on the internal of the hotel including the rooms. I would stay here again on my next visit to Dornoch.
Great room, facilities were fab! Big bath towels were amazing, so often you stay at hotel and get small towels! Breakfast was lovely, great choice, staff couldn’t be more helpful, nothing was a problem.
Lovely owners and very, very accommodating. Room was large and well equipped. they gave us an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. One of our top three dinners in Scotland so far!
Lovely big room with sofa, lovely bathroom. The view from the hotel over the bay is wonderful. The owners were very friendly and the breakfast was great.
